Royce Hotel & Casino (Clark Freeport, Pampanga): Korean-Hosted Gaming & Pampanga Stay

Royce Hotel & Casino sits on Manuel A. Roxas Highway at Ninoy Aquino Avenue within the Clark Freeport Zone — five minutes by car from Clark International Airport. Two buildings: the 297-room Premium Building and the 203-room Deluxe Building, for an aggregate 500-room footprint that places Royce among the larger Clark hospitality properties. 150-plus slot machines, a substantial gaming floor with table programming calibrated for the Korean and Chinese tour-group clientele, nine restaurants including the "21" fourth-floor all-you-can-eat outlet, two bars, free airport shuttle, and golf carts to move between the two buildings. The Clark mid-tier alternative to Hann Casino Resort — smaller scale, more accessible price point, the regular's Clark address for the Korean expatriate community.

Flying In

For the international visitor arriving via Clark International Airport (CRK) — Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Scoot, Cebu Pacific international, AirAsia, China Southern, Xiamen Airlines — Royce sits five minutes by car. The property's complimentary airport shuttle runs the route regularly; for confirmed guests, the registration desk coordinates the transfer at booking.

From Manila's NAIA via NLEX-SCTEX: 90 minutes to two hours, longer on weekends. For affluent Manila travellers, the Royce booking is typically the weekend Clark trip booking — driving from BGC/Makati/QC for the gaming-and-resort weekend.

The Manuel A. Roxas Highway location places Royce at the operational centre of Clark Freeport — adjacent to the broader gaming cluster, the Marquee Mall affluent retail, and the duty-free shopping that the Freeport zone supports.

The Multilingual Welcome

Royce's clientele is, like Hann Casino Resort's, defined primarily by the Korean expatriate and tourist market. The Clark Freeport hosts one of the Philippines' largest Korean expatriate populations, and Royce's hospitality programme has been calibrated accordingly.

Korean coverage runs through the front desk, gaming floor, concierge, and Korean F&B outlets. Mandarin and Cantonese speakers cover the Chinese tour-group clientele. English and Filipino carry the broader operations. For the Korean visitor flying in from Seoul Incheon to Clark direct, the language coverage at Royce matches the airport-arrival demographic.

The Two-Building Configuration

Royce holds 500 rooms across two buildings connected by an internal golf-cart shuttle programme.

The Premium Building carries 297 rooms at the higher hospitality tier — including the property's Junior Suite, Executive Suite, and Presidential Suite categories. The Premium Building has direct access to the casino floor and the principal dining outlets.

The Deluxe Building carries 203 rooms at the standard 4-star tier — Deluxe King, Twin, and Triple categories, plus Executive King and Twin rooms. The Deluxe Building serves the higher-volume hotel guest, with the golf-cart shuttle connecting to the Premium Building's amenities.

The two-building configuration is functional Clark hospitality calibration — affluent guests book the Premium Building for the closer casino-and-dining access; the broader tourist segment uses the Deluxe Building.

The Casino Floor

Royce's casino runs 150-plus slot machines alongside a substantial table-game programme — baccarat dominant among the Korean and Chinese clientele, with blackjack, roulette, sic bo, poker, and Texas hold'em supporting the floor. The scale is meaningfully smaller than Hann's 868-plus slot machines and 147 gaming tables — Royce sits structurally in the mid-tier Clark gaming category.

Private VIP gaming areas operate off the main floor with the standard segregated entrances and dedicated host service. The junket programmes Royce hosts run primarily to the Korean clientele.

Standard-floor minimums typically range ₱500 to ₱2,500 — calibrated for the Korean tour-group and the broader mid-tier Asian gaming visitor.

The Nine-Restaurant Dining

Royce's dining programme runs nine on-property restaurants across two bars and the casino-floor outlets.

"21" — the fourth-floor all-you-can-eat restaurant — is Royce's most-booked dining outlet, calibrated for the buffet-loving Asian-tourist clientele. The remaining outlets cover Korean cuisine (the property's signature segment), Chinese, Filipino regional, the all-day breakfast programme, and the casual outlets. The free buffet breakfast is included in the standard room rate — a Royce signature for the affluent regular.

How Royce Compares

Within Clark, Royce sits as the mid-tier Korean-clientele alternative to the leadership tier of Hann Casino Resort. The two properties serve the same broad clientele segment — Korean expatriates and tourists, Chinese tour groups, Filipino affluent regulars — but at structurally different price points and operating scales.

For affluent travellers prioritising the established Clark gaming leader, the international hotel-brand stack (Marriott + Swissôtel), and the largest Korean-clientele depth, Hann is the booking. For travellers prioritising the mid-tier price point, the more accessible booking, and the regular's familiar register, Royce is the choice.

The broader Clark cluster includes Midori Hotel & Casino (the Taiwanese-built smaller property), Fontana Leisure Parks & Casino (the water-park-and-casino hybrid), and D'Heights Resort (the Korean mega-casino with Hilton affiliation). Hann Reserve, the upcoming 2027 mega-resort, will further expand the Clark gaming tier.

When to Visit

The Clark Freeport gaming calendar follows the Korean tourist programme. Korean Chuseok in autumn drives the largest single-event surge; Lunar New Year and Chinese New Year are similarly peak. Christmas-New Year, Easter, and Holy Week carry broader tourist density.

For Manila affluent driving up for the weekend, Friday and Saturday nights are peak. Weekday afternoons and weeknights deliver Royce at its quietest operating register.

The dry season — November through May — is the prime Clark window. The summer months (March-May) are warmer.
