Eddy Syet
Chris Paul and Deron Williams will go head to head in the 2008 Playstation Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend on Feb. 16 at the New Orleans Arena. Aside from Paul and Williams , two-time defending champion defending champion Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and New Jersey Nets point guard Jason Kidd will be competing. The skills challenge event consists of four players competing in a two-round, timed "obstacle course" consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations. My man JKidd will dethrone DWade this year... just watch. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
FF
here's an interesting quote from lebron james on the trash talking that goes on during nba games : Since coming into the NBA, James has engaged in some heated trash talk with the Celtics, whom he says are among the league's chattiest squads. "They're up there," he said. "Them and the Pistons. They talk but they back it up. Sometimes it can get annoying, but they can back it up." So who's the quietest team? "Utah," he said. "They don't say nothing, they just kick your butt." yup ... sounds like jerry's squad to me. :hypocritesmiley: Quote Link to comment

Panahon pa ng Delta Center when they have the Ostertag-Malone-Russell-Horny-Stock when they became Western champs twice in a row. I remember that their only rival to that distinction were the fans of the Sacramento Kings in Arco Arena when they have the Divac-CWebb-Stoja-Christie-JWill starting five! Quote Link to comment

Korver's two free throws with 19.3 seconds remaining gave the Jazz a 116-115 lead, and after a timeout, Allen Iverson, who scored 34 points, was short on a jumper from the left corner with 5 seconds left. Korver got the rebound, drew the foul and sank two more free throws. The Nuggets had one last shot at sending the game into double-overtime, but Anthony Carter, 0-for-4 in the extra period, was short on a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Utah improved to 16-2 since acquiring Korver from the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 29, surging past Denver and Portland and into the lead in the Northwest Division. (vs. the Lakers if I'm not mistaken) yup they did. however that was it for the kings who never reached the same level of competitiveness again. btw the jazz play the kings next at Arco. from being one of the lousiest road teams in the league , the jazz have reeled off FIVE straight road wins. will they win their sixth straight and 11th overall ? stay tuned ... btw apologies to fellow jazz fanatic tanis. okay supremacy might be too royal a word for the kings. let's see ... "ascended to the western elite". maybe that's more like it. Edited February 8, 2008 by FF Quote Link to comment

THe first one would be where my favorite player suits up and the second would be where my next would be idol's suiting up. In short, namamana ang loyalty ko. My first NBA team's the Lakers because I'm a Magic Johnson fan. By late 80's it was the Lakers and the Jazz because I was impressed when I saw how John Stockton plays (I've always idolized point guards). So when Magic retired, I became a die-hard Utah Jazz fan! Then came Jason Kidd in 1993. My teams became Jazz and Mavericks, and then Jazz and Suns. I literally cried when Air Jordan beat our Jazz for the second time for Jordan's 6th title in 1998 (?). Stockton retired and Jason Kidd transferred to the Nets. So here I am now. So you see, Jerry Sloan and the Jazz holds a place in my heart (and the LAkers, too) because I've supported these teams before. After Kidd? I don't have a second team yet. Deron Williams and Chris Paul both earned my fancy because they can both score and run offensive sets. Pero sa totoo lang medyo mas bilib ako kay CP3 kahit hirap manalo ang Hornets niya sa Jazz. THe Jazz are hot right now.. let's see. Btw, my next favorite player in Jazz uniform's AK47 but that's before Kyle Korver arrived. Quote Link to comment
