Ang dami na namang titles na darating next week.. Millar's FF, XForce #1 are the highlights..

 

Dami nga eh, yung last week na mga issues eh mamya ko pa lang kukunin ng hapon. I reserved a copy of a Bloody Variant of X-Force # 1 tutal pareho ng presyo. Wag lang sanang mauubusan. :cry:

hahaha.. So, it seems that two of my best buds in mtc are thinking of visiting Filbar's Markina.. Hope you both can visit, bro.. Check out their back issue bins, baka may magustuhan kayo dun.. Sobrang dalas ko dun dahil sobrang lapit lang nito sa amin.. Would you believe just last January, I got a Death: A High Cost of Living #3 by Gaiman for just 20 bucks (nice copy, mint siya) there.. Tsambahan lang talaga minsan ang pangongolekta ng comics eh.. You don't really have to spend a lot with comics, that is why I learned to love this hobby again..

 

OT: You may want to check out the magazine "Playhouse," bro, habang hinihintay mo Philippine Playboy.. haha.. I feel that the first issue was promising much like when FHM first came out.. Ang UNO at Maxim Philippines kasi parang gayang-gaya ang FHM format eh.. So, I feel na hindi ito yung second coming ng isa na namang cult-classic men's magazine, ala-FHM.. Eto kasing "Playhouse" medyo may kaunting spice ang mga pictures niya.. Malay natin baka magkaroon din ng cult following ito.. But I have to agree with you, if Playboy Phils. will push through, I will collect them too.. hahaha...

I want to visit this place kaso mukhang hassle kay reachard kasi hindi magtutugma ang off namin, di ko pa naman alam pumunta dun. Magtitingin lang muna ko sa back issues bin kse wala pa akong budget pero pag may rare talaga eh papatulan ko na! :evil:

 

Di pa ko nakakita ng Playhouse saka hindi naman talaga ako mahilig sa mga men's magazine unless ipapahiram sa akin or libre. :evil: Hehehe. Iba lang talaga pag kilala na ang pangalan kaya gusto kong mangolekta ng Playboy Phils kunsakale. At malamang maging celebrity din ako gaya ni reachard na pumupunta sa mga authograph signing events. Hahaha!

 

W/regards to X-Force # 1 Bloody Variant eh nag-aalala lang kasi ako kasi si reachard ang nakabili nung variant ng New Exiles # 1 at last copy na. Akalain mo o! Mabuti na lang kanina may re-stock! Pero siguro nga hindi magkakaubusan kasi mas di hamak na kilala at aabangan ang X-Force kumpara sa New Exiles.

Countdown na lang eh 52 issues, tinigilan ko 'tong Countdown kasi nahuhuli ako sa issue tas wala na akong mahagilap na back issues at ang pangit ng takbo ng storya. Ewan ko lang ngayon. I dropped it by 24 or 23.

X-Force # 1 started on the right foot. A little bit of action but nothing major going on. It's a decent read to watch for the next issue. I like the scene between Wolverine, Warpath and X-23 before their mission. The art was a huge improvement from Crain's previous works.

 

I didn't read New Exiles # 2 yet, antok na ko eh and I'll try to grab Wolverine # 62 nakalimutan ko kasing ipareserve.

I decided not to get GL Corps #21 --- as it had a shitty review (and I don't think that the storyarc is really that important for next year's Blackest Night), and got Wolverine #62 instead.. Since Jeph Loeb killed Sabretooth in this comicseries, this series has not really caught fire.. Well, Jason Aaron might just be able to give Wolverine fans a story that can rekindle that lost fire.. haha..

But I had to get both covers for XForce #1.. :thumbsupsmiley: And as I browsed through the back-issue bin in Comic Odyssey, I got one comic that I have been looking for, Fantastic Four #300 --- the wedding of Alicia Masters (later revealed to be a Skrull - w/c really destroyed this issue's essence) and the Human Torch.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Well, GLC is quite decent naman but the art is not that good. And this wouldn't be connected to Blackest Night but for me it's decent. This is a 2 issue fill-in w/c highlights Boodika as an Alpha Lantern. We're probably in for a slugfest next issue as Boodika confronts her current assignment w/c happens to be her sister.

Dammit! Sold out yung Wolverine # 62! Ano ba meron dito??? I was able to find a copy in Filbar's Megamall but the last coppy was not in good condition by my standards so I passed it up. I should've asked Filbar's Marikina (I visited the place before dropping by at CO Gale and Megamall). Sold out din sa CQ! Hay, I'll try to check DK if they still have. Wish me luck. I'm just getting this for the Divided We Stand tie-in.

 

I had a nice experience in Filbar's Marikina although I have to cut my stay short because may lakad pa kami ng kasama ko. I wasn't able to look into latest issues (Sorry reachard, pero may mga nasulyapan akong mga Sinestro Corps dun at ilang Messiah Complex so mukhang makukumpleto mo pa) because I focused on the back issues.

 

Some interesting finds are Sidekick # 1, Supreme # 1 at iba pa na nakalimutan ko na. I wasn't really looking for Modern Age comics and I'm surprised na ang daming Silver Age at yung iba siguro eh Golden Age.

 

I got Claw # 1, Journey Into Mystery (Vol 2) # 10 & 11. Dami pang mga luma na iba pero ito lang kinuha ko and I'm happy. Nakita ko yung mga Wizard dubn at ok pa yung mga kopya ah, haven't looked at the basketball cards and the Hero Clix kase di ko hilig (maybe yung mga cards pero hindi ko hilig lately). And I was surprised na may mga bck issues din sa Megamall kaso di ko pa nakita. Next Sunday na lang.
