Ganun talaga. Wag naman masyado bitter ang BK. E nagbago isip nung bata eh. Parnag ganun lng diba? Malas lang sila!

Hahaha Can't believe this...Hindi maliit un ginawa ni JA na pede ulitin un draft kc makakaapekto to sa PBA...Hindi yun bsta basta ka aayaw pag nagbago isip mo...Malaki epekto un ginawa nya nde lang sa BK pati sa PBA..Hindi pede un katwiran na malas lang ng BK...

Kagaguhan lang lalo itong ginawa ni Japeth, based on what I've read on this room, he left in the midst of a controversy regarding his high school records, ngayon naman his changed of mind in joining BK, he is jeopardizing his career by listening to the ill-advised of those people....

In his (Japeth) last year in HS, he was enrolled simultaneously in TWO schools - Reedley & Mapua.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

youre wrong... he transferred to reedley prior to enrolling in admu but some malicious minds tried to create some controversy by insinuating that theres something wrong with his school records...

but clearly there is none since nobody was able to bring up any semblance of valid evidence that there was an infraction... even if he left for the US, it wouldnt have mattered if there was really any wrong doing... pede pa rin naman i forfeit at i suspend ateneo if indeed there was truth to the rumours... but there was none, plain and simple...

so lets just take it for what it really was... he went to the US because it gave him better opportunities to hone his game... unfortunately for him, he was injured most of the time...

is it reallly his own decision?erpat nya kaya?o ni MVP?wala kayang money involve talaga??

whether or not japeth is ready for the pba he should remember one thing... kahit d p cya pumirma ng contract, that fact n he enter the draft got drafted no 1 went upstair to get his jacket and cap from bk take some photo ops shake the hand of the owner/manager... ergo he should honor that commitment..... tawag dyan PALABR DE HONOR...... AS TO HIM PLAYING FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM... COME ON THE LONDON OLYMPICS ALLOTED ONE SLOT FOR ASIAN REPRESENTATIVE..... let see tokoshima we landed 9 with a team of PRO and a lot of preparation and experience with that.... this year we landed at 8 with minor preparation wth a PRO line up and experience.... so do anyone think that smart gilas will be ready by 2011 for the qualifying rounds? smart is eyeing 4 fil am to bolster its line up non of which does not have a credential to merit NBA scouts...

Walang money involved? read: MVP

How in the world could a new team like this recruit Top caliber players with 3 years contract & prevent them from joining the PREMIERE PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE? Again...read: MVP

he never denied naman na may money involved... he even admitted na he will be getting the same amount of money that he will be getting from BK...

nga pala si MVP eh shareholder din ng BK, isa sya sa may ari ng BK and he has one of the sharpest minds pagdating sa business... it will be very foolhardy for him to sacrifice his business interest by risking an animosity with his business partners in BK for one player who has yet to prove his worth...

in fact, if Japeth proved anything sa stint nya sa powerade, it was that he is not ready to mix it up with the pros at baka nga kahit kay maihoffer eh mahirapan pa sya... he was even close to admitting na he decided against going to the PBA because he may not be ready yet and he needs to hone his skills further...

and while i agree that he should have not placed his name in the draft if he has no intention of playing in the PBA... he is entitled to change his mind because there was still no contract signed at this stage... BK drafted him and they took that risk of drafting somebody who may decide against playing for them... its not Japeth who chose BK, it was the other way around so he under no obligation to sign with them if he changed his mind before a contract is signed and finalized... merely accepting the draft and shaking hands with the team owners does not constitute an agreement...

besides he did not violate any PBA rules... a draftee is allowed not to sign up with the ballclub that drafted him (but he is not to play with any other ball club for the year)... after another year of sitting out, he can reenter the draft again... that's what the PBA rule says about the matter... even in the nba or in any other professional league, no draftee is ever forced to sign up with the team that drafted them...

imagine submitting your CV to a company for a job opening... after reviewing your credential they decided to hire you and forwarded a job offer to you... at that stage, are you obligated to work for them already if before signing an agreement with them you decided to work elsewhere? japeth's case maybe slightly different but it doesnt change the fact that there was no formal agreement signed when he decided to go elsewhere...

of course the pba can penalize him but will it be to their best interest to penalize somebody who decided to play for the country instead?

I believe quite a number of them were coaches decision.

Makes it sort of complicated having Smart Gilas wanting to join this year's all-Filipino conference

If a person is telling the truth, his statement as well as those around him will always be consistent ... otherwise, it will constantly change depending on how people would react in order for them to look good or at least in this case the aggrieved party.

Players like that have "attitude" problems ... even if he has the potential, I'd probably not keep him.

this could back fire for japeth, as a person ang gulo gulo nya kausap as a professional you cant find any means that you can respect him.

if he turns out to be the basketball players the Philippines ever wanted his value could be diminish in what he is doing now. dapat sa umpisa hanggang sa huli e kung ano ung sinabi un na yun, kung ayaw ayaw gusto gusto.

nakikita ko naman kse, madami naman drafted players hindi binigyan ng contract e. ang pagkakaiba lang kse number 1 sya and usually players drafted that high has a 100% chance of getting a contract.

naalala ko tuloy ung draft ng shell si carlos sharma, i dont know about this guy when he was a rookie sa dlsu that won the championship ang ganda ng laro nya then after nun decline na sya. tapos i read the newspapers saying that shell is regretting signing sharma, may problema ata ito bata at isinusuka na sya hindi pa nag start ang season.

if i were japeth, he should try to honor the pba muna or worked out something like play a year then ask if he can play for the nationals the next year, while his contract should made a clause since he have a stint with the nationals he will honor his contract after the 2012 ( tama ba itong year ). tingin ko naman pwedeng pag usapan yan, just lagay nila ans sabihin ng malinaw. contract signing can be negotiated naman d ba, parang sa draft hindi porket sinabi gusto mo ung player e hindi na pwede i draft ng ibang teams ung player na un kung nauna sila pipili kaysa sau.
