i guess kung nasanay ka sa old school wrestling mawawalan ka talaga ng gana with the kind of wrestling nowadays in the WWE where the emphasis is more on the "entertainment" side.

i do miss the 60-minute matches of Flair, Hart & HBK. i really wish there would be another upcoming fed that would provide an alternative to wrestling. TNA is a good start but ECW was way better. too bad, the latter folded up.

Just watched the old late 1980s wrestling matches of the WWF, NWA (WCW).

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (challenger) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (champion) Feb 1989 Chicago. winner: Steamboat - new champ.

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (champion) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (challenger) April 1989 Louisiana. 2 out of 3 falls match. winner: Steamboat.

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat (champion) vs Nature Boy Ric Flair (challenger) May 1989 Tennessee. winner: Flair - new champ.

All three matches were the main event of each show. The 1st and last were Pay Per Views. They matched each other moved for move. THe 2nd and 3rd were 60 minute classics.

Match 3 was the Wrestling Match of the year for Pro Wrestling Illustrated for 1989. All three matches were in the top 4 matches of the year. This is inclusive of all WWF matches and NWA matches as well.

It shows that they bring the best out of each other. Brings goose bumps every time I see it man. Flair comes out with an entourage of 40 women. Hot women of all kinds. Blondes, brunettes, we like 'em tall, we like 'em small, we like 'em all.

To Be The Man You've Got To Beat The Man...WOOOOOO!!!!

most wrestlers die young due to drug overdose and steroids which they really need for mass building. it usually affects the liver.

that is true... sometimes nakakaapekto sa internal parts nila... big john stud died because his steroid intake caused him to have a liver complication... same thing with brian pillman...

I hope this is OK to post. Results from this past Sunday's Armageddon PPV (via www.wrestlingobserver.com):

Mark Henry vs. Booker T is opening the show. In the pre-match videos, they showed two Henry pins on Booker and one beat down. Based on 50/50 booking, that would make Booker the favorite. This was a longer match than you'd expect, which wasn't for the best. Booker won with an axe kick.

Christian wants revenge on the women, but Chris Jericho had a different idea.

RVD vs. Orton for the IC title is up. Foley was doing a celebration when Orton interrupted him so Foley announced the match taking place now. They went 18:00. Slower paced than most RVD matches. Flair tried to use Knux but Foley stopped him. RVD was on the top rope when Orton dropkicked him and RVD crotched himself. Orton won clean with the RKO.

Christian & Jericho vs. Lita & Stratus are next. Finish saw Jericho trying to sweet talk Stratus but Christian schoolboyed her from behind for the pin. Given the limitations of such a match, this was really good by all four and crowd was into it. Match story was Christian didn't care, but Jericho didn't want to hurt Stratus and was more trying to protect himself. The women were very solid in their offense.

Shawn Michaels vs. Batista is next up. Story of this match was Batista destroyed Michaels' bad back the entire match, but Michaels came back with a superkick out of nowhere for the pin. There would be no justice if Batista won, but wrestling isn't about justice, it's about making stars. Not sure the purpose of this result. Michaels did not work a miracle here.

Maven vs. Matt supposedly next but I think Batista is going to k*ll Maven instead. Maven and Hardy started brawling and Maven ended up in the ring and brutalized by Batista including the demon bomb. Maven was unable to wrestle the match, so Hardy covered him, counted the pin and grabbed the mic and announced himself as the winner.

Flair explained that everyone loses, even he and Hunter, but the champions get up.

Tag team turmoil match is next. It's a gauntlet series of matches.

We open with La Resistance vs. Hurricane & Rosey. Hurricane pinned Conway with a splash off Rosey's shoulders, but then Cade & Jindrak came out out of the crowd and Jindrak pinned Hurricane in seconds with a schoolboy. Venis & Storm are in next. Match has no heat. Jindrak & Cade beat them as well leading to Dudleys being in next. Crowd picked up at first for Dudleys but it's kind of flat again. Dudleys won with a 3-D on Jindrak. Bubba is selling a shoulder injury with Steiner & Test in. Bubba used a Bubba bomb on Test and D-Von pinned him. Bischoff then announced there was a surprise team, Batista & Flair. Batista pinned D-Von with a demon bomb while Flair had Bubba in the figure four. The Horseman have all the belts.

Molly Holly vs. Ivory is next for the women's title. Holly won with a botched reverse of a rolling reverse holding the tights. No heat as you'd expect from putting this match this late in the show.

The show hasn't sucked or anything like that, but if you didn't watch it, you haven't missed anything special either. The only thing left is the three-way main event and we've got 35 minutes left. I hope we're not having a long match. JR just told us that HHH is gong for his 8th world title. Kane with his bald head looks like an ugly giant Tito Ortiz. This was a sloppy main event. Finish saw HHH give Goldberg a low blow, and then Kane choke slammed Goldberg. Batista pulled Kane out of the ring so HHH could cover him for the pin and they went off the air a good 10 minutes early.

pansamantala lang cguro yan... I'm sure Goldberg will win in next year's Royal Rumble... then face Brock at Wrestlemania XX.

Brock vs. Goldberg will only happen if one is a champion and the other is a challenger - Goldberg HAD to lose because it's in the WWE's best interest to have a different champion for Raw and Smackdown. They won't allow a World Heavyweight Champion vs. a WWE Champion main event YET.

Besides, Vince has to give HHH the belt again since he just got back from the honeymoon.
