Stayed at Flushing meadows a couple of months ago. Nice place to bring ur family or ur significant other, very secluded. Free breakfast buffet, at masarap pa! So puked it out after a mornin dive! ha, ha, ha. Maay massage room that enhances the sound of the waves that I fell sleep (di ko alam kong na-massage ako, or na-abuse  )). Got a nice pool overlooking the sea. Malayo lang from Alona beach. Like I said, secluded. :hypocritesmiley:

Mr bukol:

Hotels: Bohol Tropics, Metro Center Hotel (2500-3000 for a twin room)

Resorts: Bohol Beach Club (4000-5000/night for a twin room), Alona (no idea on the rate), Panglao Island Nature Resort (about 5000 up)

Pension house: Vest (800-1800)

Go to bohol.ph for more details.

You can finish the day tour in about 7 hours (10am to 5pm). You will need a van (2500-3000). You will cover blood compact, chocolate hills, loboc river cruise, hanging bridge, python and the singing gay guy.

If you're staying in the city, you will have to travel about 30 minutes to Panglao to get to the beaches. Van rental is about 500 per trip. Beach entrance is 350 per person consumable.

You can also visit the Tarsier sanctuary in Corella town (opposite direction of Choc Hills).

is it ok to stay in city??

depends on your itenerary.

if you planned an island tour and just spend the day on any panglao beach, city accomodation is good.

OTOH if you plan to spend more time on the beaches and you're without private transpo, then beach side acco is a better idea.

yes, ample parking space (non weekends & holidays).

better alternative to rent-a-car is taxi service (alvares taxi franchise or something) if you have 1-2 iteneraries per day.

Amorita is so-so. I mean if you visited or been in almost all the panglao resorts they pretty much looks the same. nice to have 'good' friends/relatives in the area.

depends on how much you're going to spend. since you bought cheap tickets and going with a big family i'll advise a budgeted expense.

stay at coralandia resort in the city. it's less expensive, homey and have a nice cliff side view. call in advance to reserve the cliff a/c rooms. your kids can bathe in the beach below your room. family room is around 2k per day or less.

day 1. go city tour. punta cruz lighthouse, baclayon church, city plaza, phyton, blood compact site, bee farm, lunch at the magic caves. eat dinner at the pier or at the foodstop near the pier.

day 2. hit the beaches. go to the public beach of panglao. on the way visit hinagdanan cave. trust me same strip of white sand as BBC which is adjacent to it. hut rental less than 500php.

day 3. spend lunch in the loboc river cruise (350-500 per head), swim in the mini falls at the end of the stop, then you have 2 choices for chocolate hills, the new sagbayanan peak (which also has a water fun resort) or the trusty Carmen side (better view of the hills). on the way down pass through the man made forest. haven't got experience with rentals (i always travel private) but 1.5k-2K (is reasonable) or better yet strike a deal with the resort manager for discount. eat dinner in miravilla resort walking distance (less 1km) from coralandia resort, or bohol tropics (around 100meters), your kids can also enjoy night swimming there.

by having less expensive accomodation more food and more fun for the family. buy genuine pearls for your esposa on hinagdanan cave (cheaper there), haggle to as much as 40% off.

PM me for details or clarification.

Has anybody been to Amorita Resort? Would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

just came from bohol stayed in alona for two nights , 1 night at amorita , amorita is a nice place to stay but pricey for me, we change our hotel coz my youngest kid bitten by an insect , men namaga yung fore head and ears nya sa alona tropical , for me ok amorita clean good service with intercom unlike sa alona if you need something you have to go the lobby pa ,

i got a off season rate from amorita 8-9k villa , while in alona 5500 villa also , we are six in this trip

but my stay in bohol is very very good , nice place nice people , i enjoyed virgin island more than balicasag and dolphin watching , went back to virgin island twice , food lang medyo problema pricey , di pa masyado masarap , ill post some pictures later , thanks to six digit and vball ,

went to bohol last week of August stayed 1 night at Ananyana Resort and 1 night at Bohol Beach Club (i'm a regular client).

www.Ananyana.com pricey at USD 220 per night (lowest available room that weekend), the ambience is more on exclusivity, the rooms are worth the price anyway.
