if you have a large family or barkada its the cheaper option. same cliffside as Bohol Tropics. Ambiance is serene especially the 2 aircon cottage at the cliff. True yang rates. The owner is the same as Altura's (SM ng Bohol). Food is also worth your money.

@Brownman

Nothing spectacular in Tagbilaran city unless you will go straight to Carmen (Choco hills). If you wanna tour/see the sights stay in tagbilaran for a day, if you went there for the beach go straight to Alona.

For me Bohol Tropics din the best, lalo na pagdating ng breakfast na buffet sa labas pagsikat ng araw grabe ganda ng view. If your going to bohol don't miss the ff:

Bee Farm

Chocolate Hills

Tarsier at Loboc River

Loboc River Boat ride with matching kainan din

Largest Phyton in the island

Under water restaurant

Yung hanging bridge which I forgot the name na pero unforgettable yung kasi dadaan mo eh kawayan na bridge na sobra dulas kapag kakatapos lang umulan

yung man made forest

At jollibbee!

If you want to enjoy yor BOhol trip you should do these

Plan a 4 days-3 nights vacation

Book a resort/ hotel in Alona Beach, Panglao Island

DAY 1-familiarize yourself with the resort and island -walk the shoreline of ALONA Beach- from farthest resort up to Alona Tropical

take a peek on all the bars and restaurants in the area

DAY 2- Bohol Day tour-Chocolate Hills, Tarsier, Man made forest, Hanging Bridge,Baclayon church,Butterfly garden, Blood compact, Loboc river floating restaurant and Do ZIP LINE in the new adventure park in Loboc-- total damage (2500+800+700+20+100+20...++)- these are the highlights of your bohol trip so its ok spending some money...heheh

Day 3- Dolphine watching and island hopping if you're a morning person- coz you should wake up 5Am for this activity-

option- get a DAy tour to Bohol beach club.

Day 4-take a last glimps of the island and pack your things...

TOTAL damage -2 person (transpo-accomodation-trip)- 30k-32k (DECEMBER 2010)

and the most important of all- capture every moment of your trip

Bring a DSLR camera

when's the best time to go to this place? preferably when the rates (hotels and airfare) are relatively cheaper. tia

rare yung magkakasabay "best time " and "rates (hotels and airfare) are relatively cheaper", but it happens.

usually offpeak season are july-november (low rates) and peak season are feb to june (high rates).

best time are when it's scorching hot peak season kc the sands are at their best (di maseaweeds), eksakto lang si Amihan, predictable.

pag si Habagat, unpredictable, malakas na wala pa sa timimg . wahahaha

pero talk to the trike drivers - ask for KTV-bars with chicks locations. Hindi maramin. Only one is clean, and that is in a major hotel.
