FRUIT DIET AT NIGHT WOULD NOT BE IDEAL. THE FRUCTOSE WILL RAISE INSULIN LEVELS AND YOU WILL HOLD ONTO FAT. Quote Link to comment

enkateam
if the diet is difficult for you, I suggest you read www.c-k-d.com the acronyms stand for Cyclical Ketogenic Diet. I've used this kind of diet a few times when I was tired of the standard type of macronutrient breakdown. This diet calls for a higher fat and protein intake and minimal carbs 5 or so days a week and a very high carb diet for 24-36hrs a week. Takes some time to make the diet but you can learn it all at that website. Just go to the message board, read and ask questions. Had lost of success with this type of diet before and its easy to stick to since you'll be able to eat a lot of the food you love. cheers! Quote Link to comment

Olympus
Again, there are no quick fixes... I've seen tons of people train and seen some make results and others no results at all... The ironic thing, is that one of the guys who I've seen lose 65 lbs in about 6-8 months said he just keeps things simple... small portions of food, no deprivation. Strength training and very short but intense interval amounts of cardio Ironically, those who I saw do no rice and deprivation diets and spend more time on cardio than strength training haven't lost a significant amount of weight Quote Link to comment

Olympus
Can someone please explain to me why people believe rice is the enemy? if rice was really the culprit, then Asia should have the most obese continent but in fact, its not... Its the excess sweets and fatty foods that are the culprit, and not rice... when will you guys ever learn? Quote Link to comment

I agree, people believe in these fad diet too much...but you also can't say that its fatty foods because fatty foods don't necessarily get you fat either. Its the combination of the different macros and excess calories. Quote Link to comment

enkateam
Its actually the excess sweets, fried and processed foods Pinoys eat that make them fat. yeah, sweets are pretty deadly. You know what I find weird. Whenever I visit the Philippines, I lose weight...I think the processed food here in US is way worse than the processed food in Philippines. When I go on vacation there, I don't "diet" for obvious reasons. I mean, I'd eat jollibee, chow king, and just bad food in general. It's a pretty sweet deal haha...of course when I move there I won't be in the vacation mindset. So I'm really curious as to how my body will react. When I returned from Phil this January I was down 10lbs, I was looking real lean and dry. I wish I had taken a picture of myself, shucks! the pic in my avatar is like 2 years old, that's like my only pic without a shirt, very outdated. Quote Link to comment
