  1. When you realized you've thrown good money for someone not worth it..

Oh, well..at least nakatulong sa kanya..

it broke easily. just happened to my samsung grand duos. isang hulog basag agad ang screen. their service center men are not so helpful, after 3 tries of asking whether they have the (screen) part availability, malabo pa rin mga sagot. ipapapasa ka pa rin sa malls!

  2. Mga boss, aside from Max's for me Ang chicken ng savory is one of the best. Fave branch namin ng family is yun main nila sa Escolta. We tried several branches din sa C5 SM Hypermart, sa N. Domingo, Robinsons Galleria. Madaming food choices, authentic Chinese foods.

it's an old family business, now being run by sons and daughters (in their sixties) and grandsons. it used to be their most outstanding dish was their chicken. it was so tasty it did not need any sauce. i miss the old way they cook it. their present-day chicken is less tasty.

  3. blackberry bold

    samsung galaxy grand

the latter's a recent purchase: i saved a bundle (and some weight) by not buying amazon's kindle unit. samsung grand's screen is big enough to let you read comfortably. once in the kindle app, press the volume keys up or down to change the size of font. you can also resize the font in your messages, word texts, etc. i also noticed temple run and other games are still big to play on its screen. at 8mb, the camera is quite respectable enough for my needs

  4. if you really want to learn go straight for the swim school, it doesnt really cost that much anmore, marming ng lozada training grounds. <img src='http://manilatonight.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsupsmiley.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbsupsmiley:' /> give it a coupla weeks and you'd be swimming with the fish in no time. :D

sa youtube, marami pa rin atang free videos that will teach you how

  5. participating groups for dinagyang are getting fewer and thinner. even tourists are fewer this year. no need to buy the tickets iloilo tourist center were selling. you can easily squeeze in the thin line of people watching the performances. maybe a lot of tourists are thinking festivals are becoming a thing of the past. heck, we bought our tickets only a few day before the dinagyang and were surprised the fares are not that high. the plane wasn't even full.

been to smallville around 6am. no shop is open so we hit it on spi's frontage and my friends did a little bit of poi dancing there. it would've been nice if we can find a batchoy house nearby that's open around that time. there's none so ended up waiting a few more hours. watching the dinagyang performers making quick changes (with their attires) was fun.

tatoy's a big place, we tried some of its specialties before buying pasalubong in biscocho house. saw a lot of actors (piolo, jake, kim, etc) in the airport. for the locals it looks like it was a big deal to see them

  6. if you have the budget for ipad go for it, worth the money

abno ang taong me 2 tablets, dapat stick to one lang. reality check is a must before getting a tablet:

you want a tablet for varied entertainment and sharing it with others? get an ipad

you want a tablet merely for utilities and simple apps? get any china-made

you want a tablet with few apps, but those few apps are all you need? get the blackberry tablet or any samsung tablet

  7. friends anyone here who can give a feedback on miyagi at timog? how do you rate it compared to yakimix or sambokojin? thanks

miyagi is owned by the same group that owns some comedy bars in quezon city. i'd been to miyagi twice and i almost always end up arguing with their personnel. well, my second trip was made only to find out if their cooking has improved. it hasn't.

if you have any idea of foods being served in rundown comedy bars and offer them buffet style, then you get miyagi's line of offer! better stay away

ok naman ang sambokojin and yakimix, konti nga lang ang choices

  8. finally! a thread for runners! <img src='http://manilatonight.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/specool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> hi everyone! :P

sayang, too busy to join. will run in treadmill instead

  9. Iba din kasi yung pressure pag sa GYM ka.. either motivate ka or ma intimidate ka.

although i'm a member of planet infinity (mother ignacia), i now rarely go there, unless i want a 30-minute swim at its roofdeck or do lat works or consult their trainers.

these days i run twice a day in my treadmill using 'weight-loss' setting. 3 weeks ago i downloaded 'virtual active' in my ipad, beats looking at the same part of my house for 20 to 30 minutes. then i do stretches especially for the lower body and abs while following a free downloaded program. i also do weights on alternative days. yeah, seryoso na akong magpapayat.

i figured a treadmill at home can pay for itself if you consider the cost of travelling to a gym once or twice a day for half a year. unless you're a heavyweight set, you don't need to buy the top of the line. motivation na lang kailangan.

  10. hi dungeon baby, where exactly is the night safari park in bohol? In the mainland/not in Panglao? HOw to get there? thanks!

it's in a town outside tagbilaran, a lot of tour van drivers don't even bother to know it. i don't know if this venture will click: it's too dark to take pictures!

  11. if you're looking for something to do in bohol that's off the beaten path, quite literally, try the night safari inside the rajah sikatuna national park. for P900 per person, guides take you through the forest after dusk looking for tarsiers, civets, macaques, flying lemurs, various birds, snakes, cave-dwelling spiders...well, you get the picture. wear pants, hiking shoes (or sneakers), and insect repellent. headlamps provided.

thanks for this tip. i will be in bohol tomorrow with some friends. this is new to me

  12. lego released starter sets (more or less 200 pieces each) for starwars, ninjago, etc. some are available at national bookstore, cyberzone, sm north at P 999 each

  13. WHERE CAN I BUY MOTORIZED TREADMILL AND HOW MUCH KAYA? ANY INPUT

recently i bought mine at greenhills, P 54k, from Ralph's Sports Goods (2/F, V-Mall). it's also there where i bought my 30-lb kettlebell, 1 pair of 5-lb dumbbells and 1 pair of 25-lb dumbbells.

i'm quite happy with them, especially the treadmill. using youtube, i downloaded some 'virtual walk' videos which give me movies that i can import to my ipad. these movies shows you a moving path that you follow while walking/running. beats looking at a blank wall for 20 minutes. hehe

  14. While quantity has a quality of its own, I find that I tend to dislike buffet dinners.

somehow buffets are good for treating some client managers who are not 'high up there' yet. these guys usually go for quantity

i recently treated them to cabalen (west ave). i found the offering too scanty considering the price is P 400 (?) per person. but the selection includes lechon, crablets, creamed malunggay, lots of meat and fish, their perennial inihaw na hito, leche flan, ... pwedeng pwede na.

  15. Life indeed may be tough and sometimes we can be bountiful....

    On such times....

    Kanino ka umuutang?

    1. Credit Cards

    2. Bank

    3. Parents

    4. Siblings

    Kanino ka rin nagpapautang?

    1. Siblings

    2. Officemates

some try to bait you with check rediscounting daw. ipapakiusap sa yo na palitan mo kahit kalahati lang muna iabot sa kanya. yun pala it's a bogus check.
