In addition to your beauty queens, I remember Jean Saburit, Aurora Pijuan, Margie Moran (but I think her sister Lulette was sexier - mas may x factor), Alice Crisostomo, Dorothy Sue Bradley(?), Chiqui Brosas, Endang Cecilio and Maria Isabel Lopez. Nung 1979?, we hosted the Miss Young International and I missed the chance of being the escort/date of Miss Hawaii who eventually won the title. Putik, nagkasakit ako nung time na iyon. Sayang sana sikat ako noon. I had a tremendous crush to Miss Denmark (I forgot her name though). but then, lo and behold, I met a girl with a strong resemblance to her face in UP (although not in body built, she was petite and skinny). I dated her and became my girlfriend (Miss Denmark ng buhay ko). Quote Link to comment

Anaheim
I'm Easy by Keith Carradine from the movie NASHVILLE, composition ni Keith Carradine (half brother ni DAvid "kung fu" Carradine. Kung Fu TV series - 1970s yan, "if you catch the pebble in my hand, it will be time for you to leave". there was a scene in which a young Keith Carradine portrays the young Kwai Chang caine. The role of Kwai Chang caine was meant for Bruce Lee but the producers won't take a risk for an unknown chinese in the lead role, instead they gace it to a caucasian (David Carradine) Kung Fu Fighting - was a hit song in the 70s thanks to Bruce Lee films Elvis Presley was taking karate lessons in the 70s kasi kasikatan ni Bruce Lee mga panahon na iyon. Afternoon Delight - forgot the band's name, very 70s yan Quote Link to comment

jt2003
Paper Chase (1973 0r 74)- John Houseman and Timothy Bottoms was the movie that inspired me to study harder in college and my post graduate studies....meron din kaming study group nuon ala Mr. Hart, Bell, Ford.... famous movie line duon Mr. Hart - "I have no relevant thing to say, and if I have some relevant thing to say I shall raise my hand"Mr. Kingsfield - "Hart, will you step forward please.....here's a dime and call your mother and tell her about your serious doubt of becoming a lawyer"Mr. Hart - "You are a son of a bitch, Mr. Kingsfield!"Mr. Kingsfield - "Mr. Hart! that is the most intelligent thing you have said today....(students' laughter).....you may take your seat" galing! Yes, what a great movie. I wonder how many people actually decided to become lawyers simply because of "The Paper Chase." I remember, back in college, how one of my friends, when asked why he wanted to stay in our particular classroom, answered, "Because it's like The Paper Chase." But didn't you notice how different the characters of the movie were with the characters of the TV series that followed? In the movie, Bell was an arrogant ass with a photographic memory who called his outline "fantastic." In the series, Bell was the comic relief. In the movie, Hart was no great student, just someone getting by. In the series, he was near the top of the class. The female member of the group was practically non-existent in the movie; in the series, she was the smart lady with an attitude. Ford was probably the only one who was the same in both the movie and the series. As for the series, one of the most memorable episodes was when one of the members of the study group was able to get a copy of the exam beforehand (They all thought it was a past exam). All members of the study group got A's because they knew exactly how to argue the "Bowling Green case" (where a crematorium was being sued because the body was burned in a fire instead of being cremated!!!). In the movie, that character dropped out because he couldn't handle the pressure; in the series, he was allowed to leave after he admitted his crime to Prof Kingsfield. By the way, the movie also featured a pre-"Bionic Woman" Lindsay Wagner. Quote Link to comment

sally bogna mathay
In addition to your beauty queens, I remember Jean Saburit, Aurora Pijuan, Margie Moran (but I think her sister Lulette was sexier - mas may x factor), Alice Crisostomo, Dorothy Sue Bradley(?), Chiqui Brosas, Endang Cecilio and Maria Isabel Lopez. some gossip. when i was a reporter, i met an ex-army guy who was among fabian ver's bodyguards. sabi niya, si jean saburit spent a night with the general. we all know na naging syota ni makoy si au-au pijuan (tapos naging son-in-law si tommy!) what a twist! margie moran married the son of banana king tony floirendo, kaya lang di daw tumagal ang marriage dahil "effeminate" daw ang lalake. lulette moran was my brother's officemate. saw her up close, yes, malakas nag sex appeal niya. one of the judges in the 1973 miss universe in greece, a famous bullfighter, was quoted as saying that he voted for margie kasi mabango daw. iba talaga ang pinay! chiqui brosas is married to a hahn (family that used to be the dealer of bmw and swiss knives). she lives sa horeseshoe village. endang cecilio was my crush nung naka-party namin ang isang section ng stc manila back in 77. i think sila pa rin ni boy aspiras, son of the late tourism minister. si maria isabel lopez was last in the news some years back on a drug smuggling thing.
