pr0nmast3r
so true, especially for the Pride MW division (205lbs), it was really stacked at the time. and yes Randy and Hendo were teammates at Team Quest, but Randy opened up his own (Extreme Couture). One thing to note is that Randy picked Rampage to win over Hendo. hmmmmmmNow to play the devil's advocate Rampage is a very tough and strong competitor. we've all seen how his hands looked against Chuck Liddel, who is arguably one of the best strikers in the MMA game. He's a good wrestler who can hold his own against take downs from the best of them. And Hendo beating down Silva who beat down Rampage doesn't mean anything because MMA math doesn't really work. Rampage also has a great chin, Wandy couldn't take him out, Page lost but wasn't KO'd. Rampage is bigger, a more technical striker, arguably stronger than Hendo, and has a lot of heart. This is one of the most evenly matched fights in UFC history. I won't be surprised if this fight goes to a decision, because I don't see either one going down. One thing's for sure, this is something a true MMA fan won't miss. I think Wandy KO'd Rampage once. KO (knees) - rampage was teetering on the ropes - and the other one was referee stoppage. MMA math doesn't work.. but im going for Hollywood this time around =) Quote Link to comment

Larry
henderson is a fluke!!! LOL @ the MMA noob Hendo didn't lose because he wasn't skilled, it was because Rampage's game is so much more different know. Stronger wrestling, smarter on the ground, and more of a strategist with dirty boxing. Congrats to Q ---- Bisping is an a$$ It takes a real assh0le to still be cocky right after a very obvious gift hometown decision. Hammill won that fight. Period. Took Bisping down at will, scored the most definitive strike that knocked Bisping down, pressed the action, Bisping ran away the whole 15 minutes. I feel for Hammill that deaf dude looked pretty frustrated. ----- Holy Sh1t at Houston Alexander!!! that boy can bang! ---- finally, Crocop is through. he might hang it up after his last UFC fight. I feel bad for the guy, you can see it in his eyes that he knows that he's lost it. --- AND TO THE GUYS THAT POST SPOILERS, PLEASE POST IT IN LIGHT BLUE SO THAT WE CAN'T SEE IT. I ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH THE FIGHT FIRST BEFORE I KNOW WHO WON. NOT ALL OF US ARE CONTENT WITH RESULTS Quote Link to comment

RustyXIII
If MMA math doesn't work, I want to know what Captain America is using. His predictions going against the flow of normal thinking were all dead on. Rampage's game improved TREMENDOUSLY since he got to the UFC. It was much more apparent now that he had the chance to prove it when he and Henderson went the distance. I never thought I would see him hold his own against a grappler the caliber of Henderson but he did - in fact, at times he controlled handsome Dan. Hammill was indeed robbed. Bisping didn't do significant damage nor control in the 3rd round to offset what Hammill did in the first two. May lutuan talaga kahit saan. Houston Alexander should be given the chance to fight the big boys of the LHW division. Give him Chuck or make him Shogun's next opponent. That would be fun. It was apparent that Crocop still had that huge knockout on his mind. He was tentative and went against what he does best when he decided to counterpunch and just react to Kongo. Hope we see him fight again after this. This is a good period for the UFC. Daming nangyayari. We will see action again in just two weeks. He! He! Quote Link to comment

Larry
It wasn't aired Larry I think There's a torrent already available for download. Hays... yes it was 11am Solar Sports and the replay is airing now as I type this. there might be another replay this wed at around 10ish Hammill was indeed robbed. Bisping didn't do significant damage nor control in the 3rd round to offset what Hammill did in the first two. May lutuan talaga kahit saan.' I can handle the fix. In every combat sport that goes the distance, the hometown boy will always win, always. Just ask some of our boxers. The thing that was particularly upsetting was how cocky and arrogant Bisping still was after the fight. That guy has some balls to act like he was actually whipping Hammills ass, 0 class at all. Houston Alexander has dynamite in his hands, but I think he will soon be exposed as a one dimensional fighter, ala Chuck, Mirko, Kongo, etc. Quote Link to comment
JediMasterTebs
Q was indeed in a different world and in a different timezone, dati he will come in and Pride and beat you from corner to corner with little science at all, ngayon mejo may science na ang fighting nya.. Still I dont think Hendo is a fluke, Quentin had a good game plan lang.. On Bisping-Hammill That decision has to be the most disgusting thing ever happened in the history of the UFC since Rizzo got robbed in their 2nd fight with Couture(I still love Randy though).. Hammill landed the crispier punches, sucked the confidence out of Bisping he floored a$$ all over the octagon, HECK! All over the O2 Arena and we see Bisping win, what an insult.. Its ridicolous.. hardtohandle
I think only The Natural can defy the toll of time, heheheh! Iba yung galaw ni Hendo... the way he moves, you would think he's older than 37, after round 2, pagod na... But I give it to Rampage, he methodically finished the fight from rounds 3 to 5. One revelation of that night is Houston Alexander, siguradong contender na yun sa Lightheavy division... Quote Link to comment
Larry
Mirko's Post Fight Interview click here excerpt: "What can I say, I'm very disappointed. I broke a rib already in the first round, so I was breathing heavily, I also got two knees in the groin, which hurt my stamina. I feel bad, I fought bad, maybe I'm getting older," he tried to make a joke. "My rib hurts, don't be mad, we're gonna continue. I just want to go home right now and take a rest. We'll see. Thanks to everyone who came to London to support me, thanks!" ------- the broken rib explains a lot, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was telling the truth, Kongo was blasting him with really solid body shots all throughout, and not to mention the groin shots, I counted at least 4 groin shots at least. I was surprised they didn't take off a point off Kongo for that. ------- I think only The Natural can defy the toll of time, heheheh! watch out for Houston Alexander then....he's 35 years old now, almost the same age as when Randy started. yung galaw ni Hendo... the way he moves, you would think he's older than 37, after round 2, pagod na it was either he was injured (bruised rib, etc.) or he expended too much at the start as he always tends to do. Anyone who's seen Hendo fight before has seen that look on his face when you can tell that he's overextended himself in the first. The thing with that is that he remains very expressionless during the course of the fight, and you really can't tell that he's gassed just by looking at him, you'll just know because he just seems to be reacting to the fight. I don't think he's old, rampage is just that good now. Let Hendo fight at 185, he''ll tear that sh1t right up. Edited September 10, 2007 by Larry Quote Link to comment
wEbStAr
Galing ni Rampage! I saw a smarter fighter in him. But props also to Hendo for fighting really hard. You wouldn't think that he's already 37 yrs. old. Hay, I do hope Cro Cop can still bounce back from this loss. Badtrip talaga, Hammill should have won the fight! Kita naman that Hammill punished Bisping. Nagulpi nga e!!! Nakakabwisit talag ang hometown decision. Damn!!! Hay, Can't wait for Vera to fight!!! Quote Link to comment
Tom-Tado
I think a better comparison to Houston Alexander is Phil Baroni, really quick, relentless, swing for the fences style in the 1st few minutes, but we've never seen him fight beyond 3 mins, maybe he'll wilt? Lots of questions are being asked if he juices, his physique is a bit TOO big according to some analysts. Quote Link to comment
Larry
I think a better comparison to Houston Alexander is Phil Baroni, really quick, relentless, swing for the fences style in the 1st few minutes, but we've never seen him fight beyond 3 mins, maybe he'll wilt? I see Alexander as the 2007 version of Vitor Belfort. Very exciting fighter, always goes for the quick KO never really looking to enter the 2nd round, great hands, etc. This is exactly how it was when vitor entered the UFC way back in the 90s. we'll see if Alexander suffers the same the fate or if he actually goes far in MMA. I don't think he juices, the NSAC is very strict about drug testing (Sherk and Franca come to mind), he just has that prison type build. but yeah he'll gas, he's always gasping for breath during the post fight interviews. If I were cornering against Houston, the gameplan would be to stay out of the clinch, don't trade but wear him out and take him down in the third. Quote Link to comment
twentyone
i knew it, sabi na nga at hindi mananalo si henderson kay rampage. unanimous decision pa ha, henderson is a fluke!!! dude you've got to be kidding me! what makes you say he is a fluke? everybody seems to give him the advantage on all departments except striking. a two-time wrestling olympian is never a fluke my friend.
