joseph1
^Folayang is still above him in terms of achievement and skill but both seem a bit undersized for the UFC IMHO. Hm... 2 CG picks (Kongo and Pettis) differ from mine... This will be and interesting watch again... Lol. Edited February 21, 2012 by joseph1 Quote Link to comment

Would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks about it. Lol. Edited February 21, 2012 by joseph1 Quote Link to comment

JustSmile=)
Very nice Countdown to UFC 144.. Countdown to UFC 144 Truly inspiring story of Benson Henderson, never knew that he is half Korean.. Win or lose, Smooth deserves respect and major props to his mom.. Quote Link to comment
joseph1
^ Yeap. It's those intangibles that made me a big fan of Bendo. On another note... Random Yahoo! article I read today. If you need additional motivation to root for Dana White (other than the fact that he runs the promotion we talk about the most), well this might be it. Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
Showtime! Whooooo! Damn! Nice head kick.. Quote Link to comment

JustSmile=)
HOLY CRAP!!!! That is one of the best comeback in MMA! Tim Boetsch KO'd Okami after getting beat down for 2 rounds.. Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
Jake Shields won by decision.. Good comeback victory for him after 2 losses in a row.. Quote Link to comment
joseph1
Wow. That's 2 pretty strange decisions already. Takeya Mizuagki and Yoshihiro Akiyama looked to be on the wrong end of scoring. Well, I'll say Akiyama could have really lost that fight, but 30-27? Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
Hahahaha.. Rampage coming out to the old Pride opening song! Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
^ Well that was about the exciting part of that fight.. and yeah, the slam.. Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
Ben "Smooth" Henderson - New UFC LW Champ! Hmmm.. Pettis won decisively on the same card.. A rematch perhaps.. Quote Link to comment
joseph1
Great job Bendo! It took someone with who could match Edgar's pace and cardio. Kicks kept getting caught but Frankie wasn't able to do much other than that so thought it was the right decision. Overall, the card wasn't as exciting as some of the other recent events. Have got to watch that event again though. Looks like there might be some controversy again as far as the judging goes, but what if the mindset was more "Pride" than "UFC?" Quote Link to comment
joseph1
^ True, and Joe Rogan pointed out the same thing. That and the fact that Frankie didn't do too much despite the fact that he was using some pretty good throws on Smooth. In contrast, Ben also pulled off some good guillotine and kimura attempts (too bad none resulted in actual finishes. Guess all those body kicks would also have had some effect on Edgar's spring and cardio, but not really noticeable in the fight itself. Edited February 26, 2012 by joseph1 Quote Link to comment
wendy testicleger
Boring si Rampage. Quote Link to comment
maddromeo
Hes bored to fight Bader! Quote Link to comment
joseph1
^ True. That's something Dana White pointed out at the start of the broadcast and injured or not, IMHO the performance hurt Rampage's legend and it happened in front of the fan base that created that legend in the first place. Was trying to come up with a "big fight" that could would have interested him more, but am drawing blanks (Gustafsson maybe). Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=)
TUF possibly headed to Philippines I think that this is a first step for a UFC event in PH.. If UFC can acquire a number of talents after this, then they can probably host an event afterwards.. Quote Link to comment
CharlesOngSy
Hope our PXC and AFX talents can go to the UFC. Quote Link to comment

If UFC can acquire a number of talents after this, then they can probably host an event afterwards.. Best news I've heard all day. With the inclusion of the lighter weight classes via the WEC (and upcoming flyweight tourney), our physically smaller fighters now have a fighting chance. There also isn't a collegiate wrestling community in the Philippines (AFAIK) but Wushu, Aikido, Karate, Judo, and Muay Thai have been popular for a long time so skills wise, there should also be a pretty good base.
