If you guys watch the overeem vs lidell fight youll see chucks striking is crap, hes striking looks good in the ufc, cause he never fought a real striker the people he fought are all grapplers who prayed hard for a takedown, and we all know lidell is like a cancer to any grapplers. i cant wait for rampage lidell 2 but i think its too soon for rampage. People are saying that it's gonna be cro cop vs Vera next. I'm not really sure about the realibility of this info, if it does come true I'll be rooting for Vera. MMAWeekly has confirmed with our own sources, including sources in Japan that are extremely close to the situation, that the deal has indeed been reached. From what we understand, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta have come to an agreement that would put Pride in their hands. But remember, that is an agreement, not a finalized transaction. As with any business transaction as complex as the purchase of one company by another, things are never 100% finalized until the proverbial keys to the front door have finally changed hands. With that said, unless something changes at the eleventh hour, it appears that Pride will soon fall under the ownership of the Fertitta brothers. According to our sources, the purchase is believed to include fighter contracts, Pride’s video library, and the Pride FC name brand. The issue of fighter contracts is one of the more touchy points, as there can be variables in each individual contract that will have to be dealt with, and no information has come forth that states which fighters would be included. It was not immediately clear when the deal would be announced, although it is believed that Nobuyuki Sakikabara, the President & CEO Of Dream Stage Entertainment (Pride’s present owner), is traveling to the United States this week in regards to matters related to the agreement. Werdum is fighting on the upcoming UFC events (forgot if it was 69 or 70) BJJ si Werdum, so I think Cro Cop is trying to learn some new tricks. Cro Cop has a better takedown defense than Liddell. If you watched Liddell vs Ortiz 2, Ortiz always shoots, sobrang obvious. If you watched Cro cop vs Silva and other of all his fights, like the Cro Cop vs Nog, those are class A fighters and he was able to withstand some of their takedowns And i don't think he's even comparable to Liddell. Yes, crocop has a better takedown defense than silvia but note that coutre actually owned silvia on the striking. We all saw how easily coutre took down liddel and I don't think crocop's takedown defense is not that far of from chuck's. Bottomline, once coutre grabs hold of crocop, there is a 90% chance its going to the ground. You cannot take away 20 years of wrestling experience. In my opinion, only another wrestler can defend against the takedown from a wrestler. The only way crocop can avoid the ground is to avoid being grabbed by randy, meaning effective striking, like the way liddel won his two fights against coutre but hey!
