mtcnono
Example sa Japan, Japan's Entertainment in Sexy idols and Pornography has been around for so long, that majority of Japanese are not conservative, they embrace their sexuality and TV with Nudity is very common. In North Korea, they have children shows/ cartoons wherein North Koreans are good, and americans are the bad guys. so children grow up knowing and believing that Americans are Evil. Media plays a great role, because people, learn, and adapt slowly to thing they are seeing. Media can Insinuate ideas into people at a very large scale, Media can even create mass Panic if they deem so in News. 1 Quote Link to comment

Cap™
well, media creates trends. Trends shape how people perceive things. Bias occurs. Now, mainstream media (i.e. print and television) is kinda dead and social media takes place. Quote Link to comment
Ryuji_tanaka
Napupulot nila yung mga ugali sa Gangsta culture at rap vids from the US. Quote Link to comment

HarryPotter25
The media affects the way we act and think. It has a profound influence on the behavior of its audience. When people try to imitate something we had seen or heard, are they capable enough to distinguish between right from wrong? Young people often imitate their role models blindly. What is being highlighted in the entertainment industry is the wrongdoings of these celebrities whom the young people idolize. And because they are heroes in the youths minds, they are still celebrated despite the bad behavior they have been showing to the public. This highlighting of the media is a negative effect on society. They satiate the peoples hunger for trivial information and rumors. They create buzz by hyping the issues with flowery words and provoking descriptions. Controversies are created left and right to get the attention of people. Quote Link to comment
GoyongDP
Very much. The thing is its there mostly to entertain and not to educate which is really bad. That includes also media in print. Ask what majority of people these days watch, read and listen to and you'll know why they are so dumbed-down. Quote Link to comment

westhoratio
Media nowadays is prone to sensationalize news stories. It hypes up stories and go less and less into details and nitpicks what people are looking for drama. It to a degree has lost the notion of informing people and has gone to sate a mass curiosity. Such a thing is evident as top headlines in both tv news and newspapers hype up violence to capture the audience. Seems they cling to just make profit than have journalistic integrity. They have now dimmed the line between church and state (Church being the journalistic side and State being the business side) Quote Link to comment
sudo.spectrum
Malaki effect na ng media ngayon, kaya kapag misleading ang mga headlines marami agad naniniwala kahit hnd pa nila nababas ung buong article Quote Link to comment
