Trivia for

"The A-Team" (1983)

* James Coburn was considered for the role of Hannibal Smith.

* During the final season, David McCallum guest starred as a villain, reuniting with former "Man From UNCLE" co-star Robert Vaughn. The episode, "The Say Uncle Affair", was formatted the same way as an old UNCLE episode, complete with "chapter titles", the word "affair" in the title, and similar scene transitions.

* In the opening credits, Dirk Benedict reacts to a passing metallic "Cylon warrior". Cylons were the nemesis in Benedict's earlier series, "Battlestar Galactica".

* Premiered on NBC-TV immediately after the 1983 Super Bowl.

* A lost episode entitled "Without Reservations" aired for the first time during the March reruns of 1987. This episode was probably meant to air right before the final episode "The Grey Team", based on the fact that in "Without Reservations" Murdock's T-shirt says "Almost Fini" while in "The Grey Team" it says "Fini".

* The gold that was worn by "Mr. T" during filming varied in weight, usually between 35 and 40 pounds.

* Series folded December 30, 1986-after 98 episodes total, 12 episodes into the 5th season.

* It is also noted that the "B.A." in B.A. Baracus stands for his first and middle names "Bosco Albert" Baracus (as well as the more obvious "Bad Attitude").

* In one episode, it is revealed that Face's real name is not Templeton Peck. The complete list of his assumed names is, in chronological order: Richard Bancroft (birth name), Alvin Brennar, Al Brennan, Al Peck, Holmes Morrison, Morrison Holmes, and finally Tempelton Arthur Peck.

* There was some talk about an A-Team reunion, a TV movie where the A-Team was given a full pardon, but after George Peppard died, the idea was dropped.

* With the exception of General Fullbright (played by Jack Ging), who was shot and killed in the season 4 finale episode "The Sound of Thunder", no one was killed on the show, either by the A-Team themselves or (on screen at least) by any of the villains. At the time it was considered to be the most family friendly shows of it's time. In fact, in any episode where there were drugs involved in the storyline, Hannibal would call it, "stuff". (eg: "I know there is stuff in there. You have to find it.")

* After guest starring in the season 4 finale episode, "The Sound of Thunder", Tia Carrere was supposed to join the A-Team as a member for the start of the 5th season. But due to her not being able to get out of her contract with the soap-opera "General Hospital" (1963), the idea was nixed. Her character was never mentioned again.

* The "crime they didn't commit" which led to The A-Team being sent to a military court was stealing gold bullion from the "Bank of Hanoi" during the Vietnam War.

* Mr. T reportedly quit the series during filming of the 1985-6 season opening episode "Judgement Day" only to be persuaded to return with the episode's filming not interrupted.

* The Spanish (Spain) version of the series has two significant changes with character nicknames. "Face" is called '"Fenix" and "B.A." Baracus is known as "M.A."

* In "Pros and Cons", Face pretends to be the author of a novel Dr. Dwight Pepper. The photo on the back of the book - supposedly the proper Dr. Dwight Pepper - is actually a photo of Stephen J. Cannell, the producer of the series.

* Most of the episodes were filmed five weeks before they aired.

* In the 1985 episode "A Lease with an Option to Die" the A-team visits Mrs. Baracus (B.A.'s Mum) in Chicago. Mrs. Baracus (played by Della Reese) calls B.A. "Scooter", a nickname which wasn't known before.

* In the Italian version, "Face" is called "Sberla" (= "face slap") and BA is known as PE or "Pessimo Elemento" (= "terrible element").

Definitely! Breakdancing, strutt, punk, hardcore and new wave. Bands GeneLovesJezebel, U2, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Lotus Eaters, Tears for Fears, FraLippoLippi, Depeche Mode, etc. The "IN" radio station was XB102, daming "TI-PAR" nung time na to. Pag may mobile ka (flaunting LP records and extended versions) you get the goodies.

Tama, Glorietta was a park at the back of Quad where breakdancers strutt their stuff tapos dadating yung mga punkista (naka black outfit complete w/chains and the works) tapos hahabulin at gugulpihin sila.

The hang-outs were Rumors, Heartbeat, Faces and Euphoria. At ang drag racing sa Greenhills pa.

Oh by the way, pag may date ako nun, Shakey's lang sosi ka na. A bunch of lunch cost P25 lang at ang sine P8 lang ata... yung P100 mo e malayo ang mararating:upside:

More on the 80's. Di ko matiis... :boo:

Ang "in" na porma e:

A polo shirt inside tapos may polo ka pa sa labas that you leave open, tapos you fold the sleeves up. Match this with a pair of maong pants na pina-repair mo at pinalagyan ng zipper sa ilalim dahil sobrang "baston"

-Wow 80's, who would forget the parties at the Corinthians, while wearing an outfit which resembles the likes of BoyGeorge, Wham, etc. These were the early parties organized by XB.

80's? I remember ung phone namin may kaparty line pa kami, lagi namin kaaway, kasi telbabad lagi.
