Dr_PepPeR
im buying a B-29 .....so excited!!!!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean you're getting the Monogram 1/48 B-29??? Siyeeettt man, that's a big plane in bare metal finish! The best of luck to you! doc pepper...rigging? i dont know s@%t about it hehehehe...whats that ba?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> The rigging are the wires running along the wings of a biplane to strengthen it. For example, look at the wires in this Tamiya Swordfish: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal4/3301-3400/gal3365_Swordfish_Lachance/01.jpg I have this phobia of rigging a model biplane. My eyes and hands are not that young anymore. Edited May 12, 2006 by Dr_PepPeR Quote Link to comment
Dr_PepPeR
Yeah i've read a lot about this "milliput and sculpey" where can i get one? planning to build a small ship first 1:400<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Milliput is a 2 part epoxy for modelers. Sculpey I think is a plaster of paris based material that you work like clay. I have seen both being sold in Roel's store "Hobbies and Comics" in Makati Cinema Square and also in Natalie's shop "NM Hobbies" at Harrison Plaza. Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
the B-17 i just finished....up for a painting job<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nice assembly, sir! Regarding painting, it might be easier next time to paint the model while assembling it. For example, it would be very difficult to paint the engines inside the cowling after it's assembled. I've had my share of lousy paint jobs before, just because I wanted to finish assembling the whole model before painting. Quote Link to comment

Nice job on them as well as the B-17, is it also 1/72? Hard to tell the scale as there are no frames of reference. I'd really like to see them upclose, maybe you could take individual closeup shots of the models (just like the flesh and blood models). Good work! Quote Link to comment
