The one italicized has been my motto too for a couple of years now. WEll, after I begged before. Yep, I did beg too.... and it was way too painful. Looking back at it makes me still shiver. Yet, i've learned and i've become more decisive now. And more hopeful not to do it anymore. I just hope you won't experience begging ironmaiden, coz it's way too painful for us who has so much pride instilled in ourselves, not to mention, our self-esteem is being put on rocky ground.
