sagittated
how bout this, all reelectionist once elected for a second term, gets only two thirds of the pork barrel of first termers while third termers get 1/3. logic is simple. 2nd and 3rd termers have covered ground as far as jump starting their programs for their constituents... some of the work will merely entail either follow up or continuance of work already done. this also serves another purpose, for obvious reasons really... less money at their disposal equals less money to currupt. besides it discourages politicians to run for reelections while it encourages first timers to do their job within a "single term" time frame. healthy for philippine politics dont you think? ours is an extreme case... hence the extreme method and suggestion...hehehe Quote Link to comment

skitz
PLUG THE LOOPHOLES IN THE "MINIMUM WAGE LAW" Ang daming companies, SM for example, have found a loophole in the minimum wage law. Gagawin nila, puro casual employees lang, then renew ng renew... so hindi na re-regular ang employee... the minimum wage law does not apply to casual employees. I propose that the minimum wage law should be just that, MINIMUM! And better yet, compute the minimum wage on an hourly basis. Edited December 23, 2005 by schizo Quote Link to comment

hitomi
law that forces the government to educate the people about its laws, or make the law more accessible. so that ordinay folk can understand the law and follow it and not be surprised of hefty fines (or jailtime!) slapped on innocent people just because they don't know the law which is, most of the time, hidden in a thick book somewhere understandable by lawyers only. or better yet, a law that requires all laws to be written in plain english hehehe Quote Link to comment

BnF95
1.) Create a law that people in public offices must declare ALL assets held by him/herself and his/her family. Such assets that are personally owned (including assets transfered to family members within a 6 month period) are confiscated and placed in the national trust (ie. run by the government). 2.) Create a law that places a flat 10% tax on everything. Income, excise, withholding, or whatever. Then add a clause that forbids the government from creating any additional taxes. 3.) If during the term of the public official, the government earns money, he gets his assets back, if not, they become property of the government and can be sold off to earn money for the government. If this is done, watch the number of crooks in government disappear. Quote Link to comment

skitz
Quote Link to comment
