storm
6' 4" si Mariano kasya sa Corolla? Kung sabagay, may headroom naman yung corolla. Ang hirap siguro kung naging celeste. Ok cars nyo. Yan yung pangarap ko noon pero hindi ako binili ng parents ko. Pero kahit paano nung college, I drove a German car (1302S beetle lang nga) Ang tagal ko ring pinagtyagaan hanggang sa ikasal ako nung 1988. Grabe tibay kasi. Minsan-minsan tinatakas ko car ng parents ko (Galant). When I got married bumigay na yung Beetle. Panay tirik na, tapos mahal pa ng spare parts. Kaya tiis commute muna kami ni misis. Then in 1989, we first bought our car, a 4-door corolla 1300 skd. That was one of the happiest moment in our lives. Our first investment. I dressed up the car with 15" mags and series 50 tires. Ang pogi na. Quote Link to comment
jt2003
Since I'm in a reminiscing mode anyway .... One of the biggest movies of the 1970s in this basketball-crazy country was "One on One" with Robbie Benson and Anette O'Toole. Incredibly popular with teens (as I was at the time), particularly the lovelorn. During the months after it was released locally, you could hear "My Fair Share" (and to some extent, "Love Conquers All") practically everywhere. Quote Link to comment
jt2003
6' 4" si Mariano kasya sa Corolla? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pareng storm, Some time after that legendary Meralco team was disbanded, I was fortunate enough to watch Jimmy Mariano playing with a local team (which included movie stars) against a selection from Clark in an exhibition game at the Loyola Center. After the game, I caught up with him outside to get an autograph. He was very nice to me and my mother, even though he was preparing to leave. That's when I saw his car, which was a lot smaller than a corolla. Even then, I wondered how he managed it. After all, he was a center .... who could drill it from so far out, even with his comang arms. Those were the days before the PBA, when basketball players, even great ones like Jimmy Mariano, never made more than a junior executive. Edited December 11, 2004 by jt2003 Quote Link to comment

I grew up in La Union and obtaining a driver's license was easy. I had the top lopped off and the body painted bright red. Boy, I've fond memories of it. Fifty pesos worth of gas, during a time when a liter sold for ten, was enough for a week. Even though it broke down frequently despite intensive maintenance, and sourcing spare parts was difficult, I loved that car. Mom sold it when I left to attend university. "Woot? Ok, where's my money then?", I said. She was keeping it since she had it fixed in the first place. No contest. Unfair. Quote Link to comment

storm
Isang film ni FPJ na napanood ko with a date was Bato sa Buhangin with Vilma Santos. I appeared in one movie of Ate Vi in 1979. Hindi ko pa napanood yung movie up to now. Quote Link to comment
