Boracay has a gradual slope from the treeline all the way to about 25 to 50 meters into the water (outward not downward) - no sudden drop off. Puerto Gallera has a short beach, then about 10 meters out, will suddenly drop off. Boracay is mainly a swimming beach, while PG is more for snorklers and divers. There are dive spots around Boracay too, but far from the beach. Water condition. Puerto Gallera has strong currents outside the bay. Boracay has a unique position, that during the summer months when the wind blows from the east, the water is dead calm on the western side where most of the tourist resorts are. But during Habagat season when the wind blows from the west (around this time) the water is dead calm on the east side. But even if it's windy on the west side, the waves are not so big, and people can still swim. Usually, there are strong currents at the north and south of the island, but not as strong as the current in Puerto Gallera. Both beaches offer their unique charms and you have to experience both. jackson5
kung mejo namamahalan kayo sa mga resto along the beach front... puntahan nyo ang smoke resto di nga lang sya beach front pero mura ang food(around P50 to P80 lang per head) ok din naman ang menu nila, masasarap din. how to get there: pasok ka lang sa d' mall, straight ahead dun sa eskinata papunta sa street sa likod madadaanan mo na sya, malapit sa mga nagtitinda ng fruits. We stayed at the Boracay ______ Chalet, its more or less in the middle, so I guess its safe to say its near Boat Station 2. The rate for this season was about P3,500 per night, because I remember paying about P1,750 because it was off season. Beach front siya na parang may bamboo fence between it and the beach. The cottages have a veranda, aircon, cable TV and ref. (of course may CR) The area is a bit quiter and night life is not as busy as the Cocomangas area but at least you don't have to walk from one end to the other to get there. Plus I remember that there's a restaurant beside it with good food and pretty reasonable prices. (Or maybe becaus it was off season) Enjoy your trip bro. Quote Link to comment
artilles
Thanks. I guess we'll look for a place there that's pretty situated at "station2" or "station1" since I've read hear that these stations seems to be "preferred". I'll check the places mentioned here. Quote Link to comment

baccaratboy
During holy week sa BORACAY almost all hotels are fully booked (peak season rates pa!) I think you're 20k will not be enough if you're staying there for 5 days (inclusive of airfare) Hotel rates alone will cost you around 5K per day! Quote Link to comment
