fatso8
Aside from barring elbows.. Soccer kicks pwede? Playoffs na ata nila. Quote Link to comment
brcDman
Guys and Gals, newbie here. Fan din ako ng UFC and other MMA organization. een watching UFC since day 1 yung wala pa talagang rules at no weight divisions pa. Quote Link to comment

Or Steven Segal vs Bruce Lee! Quote Link to comment
brcDman
This is something to see.... Larry
Aside from barring elbows.. Soccer kicks pwede? no elbows to the face or head no soccer kicks or kicks and knees to a downed opponent shorter rounds (4 mins) Anyway just wondering, kung si Bruce Lee buhay pa at nag umpisa ang UFC ng 35 years old pa sya, lam ko 32 lang sya ng namatay, may laban kaya yun? if Bruce Lee fought in the early UFCs, he would have done well, he had a pretty advanced fighting style for his time, training in strikes and training Judo with Judo Gene Lebell. Would he have beaten Royce? I don't think so. Royce at the time was on a totally different planet as far as the ground game was concerned. Even other jiu jitsu practitioners like Remco Pardoel and grapplers like Ken Shamrock found Royce to be a really tough opponent. Bruce had a working knowledge of grappling but he wasn't good enough. Judo Gene beat him soundly a couple of times. If Bruce Lee fought in MMA today, he would get killed. With all respect to Bruce, fighters nowadays have a more rounded fight game as compared to ten years ago. Almost every active fighter now knows how to strike, knows how to defend the takedown, knows the guard, and a couple of submissions and escapes as well. MMA has evolved so much over the years and MMA now is so much different from the MMA of UFC 1 even more so from the full contact matches that martial arts had in the 60s and 70s. There's one thing you can be sure of though, if Bruce did fight in MMA today, he'll lose in his first few matches, but it won't take long before he becomes really really good at it. The Russian Cyborg is NOT Tim Silvia Not even comparable Quote Link to comment

RustyXIII
Yup twice na and Noguiera winning both times I remember Herring to be a halfway-decent fighter during the earlier part of the decade. Too bad di na nag-evolve ang style nya kaya napag-iwanan. Kung nagkaharap na pala sila, it escapes me why UFC matched them up again. Would'nt it be better if two former Pride fighters making their UFC debuts were matched up against opponents they never faced before? Would'nt it be more exciting to watch if Noguiera fought Arlovski or Mir? Lahat sila former heavyweight champion. Herring, on the other hand, would be better off fighting Sims or McGee - sorry to say pero yun yung mas suited sa kanya. Now I don't know if the fighters I mentioned are available but if UFC chose to go with them, UFC 73 will truly be STACKED. Quote Link to comment
