We really can't blame Brock why he sais those things about Frank because Frank also sais a few things about Brock before the fight.

Magkaron kaya ng part three ang rivalry nila?

Now that Kimbo Slice is in the Ultimate Fighter, I really hope he and Brock could fight soon.

Sana kunin na rin ni Dana white si Bobby Lashley and itapat din sya kay Brock.

These two black dudes have a really godd chance on defeating brock.

I hope that these heavy weights could be matched up with Brock inside the UFC octagon:

Fedor

Shane Carwin

Antonio "Minotoro" Nogueira

Chiek Congo

Cain Velasquez

Mirko Cro cop

Forget nog and crocop they are too old for brock's size and speed... while the rest pwede pa.

but the fans love what they are seeing right now!..

They like wht they see coz they look at brock dispassionately. So its like giving no respect to brock at all... wait untill more peolpe cheer for brock's opponent win or loose...

this just proves that you can't really please everybody boss... i mean you're not pleased, and i bet Brock ain't pleased with your reaction about how he does things as well chief

i just think being arrogant, cocky and pompous is part of fighting, you win a fight you have bragging rights, someone talks smack at you pre fight and other people join in on the bandwagon, then you beat the sunufabitch convincingly and i figured you got the right to talk smack to that fighter and the people who backed him up.

for me fighting is commonly misconstrued as a sport, even though MMA has rules and a sanctioning body i really don't consider it a sport. those people who enter the ring and/or octagon to battle aren't athletes, well probably they were athletes before, but once they enter the cage/ring they're warriors. same goes for boxing, i forgot the name of the boxer who said it but he said something like this; he's not a sportsman/athlete he's a fighter.

Well to each its own, and I respect you point of view. So let me give my inputs. First of anybody can call himself a warrior regardless of what sport he is into, and likewise, you can be a golfer and act like a thug. Almost every athlete has a nickname for himself, but in the end, an athlete is still an athlete. He conditions himself physically and psychologically to give his best, when he steps into any arena he is into. I am not complaining if one wants to be referred more of a fighter than an athlete. But even Dana white in one of the seasons of TUF says that there is a difference between a thug and a fighter.

But I understand that sports is also about entertainment, we as an audience want action. we love to see characters, we want to see villains and heroes amongst fighters. When Cotoure fought Lidell, lidell was the villain. When Lidell fought ortiz, ortiz was the villain and so on. But at the end of every fight they all act professionally. Ortiz to this day still has high disregard for lidell, but you do not see him cussing the fans or the sponsors. This act of professionalism is what separates these fighters, from regular street thugs. In fact, wether you agree with me or not, it a huge (though not solely), the reason why MMA made its way trough mainstream success.

Remember that MMA was actually banned from some states because people saw it as human cockfighting. And it is still struggling against this stigma, which is why WHite is trying to damn hard to promote MMA as a sport. That in any sport, athletes (or fighters if you want to call them that) in MMA act professionally just like in any other sport. The way I see it, MMA or Boxing is a morality carwash for people who have the natural talent of physically hurting people. MMA has to come clean, and should show class, otherwise its just back to street alley fighting. Come to think of it, that was how boxing was in the 17th century, but now its an olympic sport. MMA as an olympic sport? Why not?

As for lesnar, I do not despise him because he choses to be the villain. Like I said in my posts about mayweather, he maybe a trash talking punk, but he is not as sinster as some people think he is. He just knows that assuming the role of a villain in the sport will make him more sellable. I am not asking him to kiss and make up with mir after the fight. But at least do not cuss out the audience and the sponsors that pay your bills, and dont humiliate your wife like that because it is just not the way a fighting champion acts, its a thuggish behavior. He should act professionally, and I was half satisfied that Lesnar himself acknowledged that mistake himself.

i dunno about the comparison to PBF boss... PBF usually talks a lotta s@%t but he don't bite the bullet and fight the best, so yeah he does a "gracious winner" attitude lest he someone bigtime criticizes him, like how you criticize Lesnar about his behavior and he'd be forced to take on someone who has a big chance of shutting him up ^_^ now Brock Lesnar on the other hand talks smalk and becomes kinda like a "sore winner" as he doesn't win fans to his side, but i bet he'd take on all comers chief ^_^

i gotta give it to you boss, you're one of them people who want others to respect others, honestly i admire you for that, but the thing is about the US, a lot of people has this bully mentality and they change their minds a lot, so no biggie if one they Brock becomes this humble dude and fans would support or won't buy it ^_^

Lesnar can play the villain anytime he wants. But just because the audience love to see villains, it does not mean its also a liscence to be unprofessional. Sa WWE siguro pwede pa.

wow, i missed the banter here.. cani drop by and share my thoughts on all this? :P

For me, the only reason why Brock was booed so much was because 99% of the people watching knew him as the "WWE Guy", the pro 'rassler, the guy who they thought didn't deserve to be in the UFC, let alone the entire sport, because he was the "fake wrestling guy" (as Smokin' Joe Rogan put it). Go to Fightlinker.com and one post there will show how much the fans, hardcore & Generation TUF alike, hate Brock.

For me, the end justifies the means. Frank, for all his talent and resurgence, and his being "calm and collected" during the buildup to the fight, did get personal with Brock, dismissing his skills and brushing off all that he's done in such a short span of time. You can only push someone so much, people. And with how Brock REALLY is, and WWE's former VP for Talent Relations Jim Ross (yes, Good 'Ol JR) makes the case here, you don't want to get personal with someone who's a bit anti-social.

And, as one poster from one of the more well known MMA blogs said (I think it was from Bloody Elbow), one can never discount what Brock has done in such a short span of time. If he's that "fake", how can he beat a former #1 contender for the PRIDE Heavyweight Belt (Herring), a UFC Hall of Famer (Couture), and a 2-time UFC Heavyweight champ (Mir) in such dominating fashion? If he's really "fake"?

You have your point sir, he's not really fake, but what is being pointed out is how good is would he be really in this sport, I mean ika nga A.S. or L.M. tipo talent nila ang sport na to... what about brock talent ba talaga or something else... because right now he's just brut and stregnht anyway looking forward to UFC 101, hopfully UFC can win fedor in their fold... medyo nayayabangan na din ako dito kay fedor ayaw sa UFC...Does he realize that if he beat brock...it could cement him as the best fighter of the decade or something like that since he had fought in pride and affliction already.. I f he takes the UFC he can become the "optimus prime" of MMA...sayang lang hindi si randy ang nakakakuha nito yet randy will forever be remembered...

^^^ Well said. I agree 100% on the article.

Fedor? I'm getting tired of all the Fedor talk. If he ends up in the UFC after the Barnett fight, good. If not, then that gives the young bucks like Carwin, Velasquez, Gonzaga, Kongo, and the rest an actual chance to get to the top spot. I'd prefer the latter.

yup I hope Brandon wins in a convincing fashion against Matt Hamill, as much as I like Hamill, I like Brandon first, shempre iba na ang kabayan natin ^_^

any of you guys have thoughts about the upcoming BJ VS KenFlo and Spider VS Forrest fights?

I'm also for Brandon. He looked vicious and hungry on his previous fight, but this will be a tougher test for him. Hamill's definitely no patsy and Vera should better be careful as well.

As for the Florian-Penn, Florian is a smart fighter and it's possible that he's figured out how to stop BJ. On the other hand, Penn is a superb and well-talented fighter and this time he's fighting in his weight class, where he is a lot more comfortable with and dangerous. Both guys have great striking and BJJ but stamina will play a big factor.

I'd still go for Penn.

UFC 102: Krzysztof Soszynski replaces injured Matt Hamill against Brandon Vera on Aug. 29

Krzysztof Soszynski has been tapped to face Brandon Vera in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 102 from the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, after a knee injury has forced Matt Hamill to withdraw from the upcoming event on August 29, according to Sherdog.com.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 semifinalist is no stranger to last minute call-ups. Soszynski replaced an injured Houston Alexander against Andre Gusmao at UFC 98 back on May 23, knocking out the IFL vet in the first round.

“The Polish Experiment” made his homecoming at UFC 97 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on April 18, defeating former WEC 205-pound champion Brian “All American” Stann via first round submission — his third straight finish by Kimura.

Soszynski (18-8-1) trains under Dan Henderson in Temecula, Calif., along with training partner Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou. He has a strong wrestling base, powerful strikes and solid submission skills to boot.

Vera (10-3) is a former heavyweight fighter who was considered a possible title contender until sustaining back-to-back losses to Tim Sylvia and Fabricio Werdum. He recently beat Mike Patt into submission with leg kicks to score a second round technical knockout at UFC 96: “Jackson vs. Jardine” earlier this year.

It was the second win in three attempts for “The Truth” at 205 pounds -– he has a unanimous decision win over Reese Andy at UFC Fight Night 14 and lackluster split decision loss to Keith Jardine at UFC 89: “Bisping vs. Leben” to his credit.

Vera has re-dedicated himself to training and vows to do nothing but kick people’s asses from this point forward to re-establish himself as a top fighter in 2009. He’s off to a good start; however, he’ll have to figure out a way to keep that momentum going against the surging Soszynski.

UFC 102 is will feature a main event between Randy “The Natural” Couture (16-9) locking horns with Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira (31-5-1) in a dream match-up that most fans expected to see before Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir played spoiler roles in the opening round of the mini heavyweight tournament created in late 2008 to crown an undisputed division champion.

Also slated for the main card is perennial light heavyweight contender Keith Jardine (14-5-1) who has been tapped to replace Forrest Griffin in a 205-pound slugfest against hard-hitting Brazilian import Thiago Silva (13-1).
