iba yun.. im not the type na manira but the owner of that place is a bit of a dick to talk to.. kung newbie ka and havnt been around the block.. maloloko ka nyan.. in fact.. parang ma hypnotize ka.. hahahah ako nga na hypnotize eh..

the Philippine martial arts comunity is very small.. and the mixed martial arts and BJJ comunity is even smaller.. almost sira na reputation nyan.

comming from that store.. deretro ka lang papunta ng gilmore.. you cant miss K1 Extreme. The owner of the store is a member of Deftac.. Gracie Barra. and is an legit instructor of Muay Thai and also Sarian. In fact he trains some of the fighters of Deftac.. names like.. Richard Lasprilla, Marcus Valda, Fritz Rodriguez just to name a few.

Um,sir tankjitsu sino ba may-ari nung fight club sa madison? (kahit PM mo na lang saken siguro to sir. hehe).

Anyhow ok dyan sa K1 marami nakong nabili dyan kina Jaime. unang BJJ gi ko dyan ko binili, pati mga fight shorts and a pair of twins special na gloves.

magkano damage sa gi chief?

Well I bought an adidas training gi. a blue one for about Php3,400 ok naman siya hanggang ngayon ginagamit ko pa kahit sa competition.

I think the white one is about Php2,800. Yung mga fatal nila na gi baka mas mura pa. Second hand kasi yung fatal ko e kaya di ko alam yung price ng bago.

white fatal is 3K.. if walang price rise.. blue one of corse is a little bit more expensive..

I have 2 fatals blue and white, white HCK for comps.. and a dan rho double weave just to piss my sparring partners off.. (those of you who bjj or judo know what i mean.. heheh)

in my oppinion.. best value for money is the Fatal.. its sturdy.. and very light for a goldweave.. and its not very hot so summer training need not be a bitch. I had both gi's for more than 2 years na.. my first blue i used without rotation for around a year..training 2x a week.

the addidas club gi.. kahit na branded is prone to shrinkage.. although shrinking is normal in gi's the addidas keeps on shrinking.. almost all of my teammates who bought this gi eventually bought another..

if your gonna get an addidas.. get the Machado signature or the next one up from the cheapest addidas gi.. and maybe buy 2 sizes up to allow for shirnkage..

heheh.. just my 2 cents.. sorry kung mahaba.

hehe. yah it did shrink a lot. that's why i use it during competition. wala na halos mahawakan na sleeve yung kalaban sa sobrang iksi. i know what you mean with the dan rho man. my sparring partner wears one.

just a comment on fatal. meron ako nung red eh. pero binenta ko. kumakapit kasi sa gi ng ka-training/sparring ko yung kulay.

Dan Henderson vs Rousimar Palhares UFC 88 fight set for Atlanta

Brazilian jiu-jitsu submission specialist Rousimar Palhares (8-1) has signed a contract to take on Dan Henderson (22-7) in a middleweight bout at UFC 88: “Breakthrough” at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., on September 6, according to MMAWeekly.com.

“Dangerous Dan” –- with his proven chin and prestigious Greco Roman wrestling pedigree –- was supposed to be the man to derail the seemingly invincible champion, Anderson Silva. And in the first round of their fight at UFC 82: “Pride of a Champion,” Henderson appeared to be well on his way.

However, Silva came out in the second frame and finished Henderson with a submission (rear naked choke) -– the first time that the former Pride FC dual champion had been stopped early since 2005.

With two straight losses since his return to the Octagon it’s safe to say that this is a must win for Henderson.

Palhares was impressive in his Octagon debut, submitting mixed martial arts veteran Ivan Salaverry via super slick armbar at UFC 84: “Ill Will” back in May. It was so slick, in fact, it earned him a $70,000 “Submission of the Night” bonus.

Henderson is no doubt the biggest test to date for the young Brazilian Top Team-trained fighter and it would brand him an instant force in the 185-pound division. And if there is one weakness in Henderson’s tight game it’s his submission defense — three of his seven career losses have come via submission (the other four are decisions).

Put simply, it’s a big fight for both fighters for different reasons.

UFC 88 will showcase a main event between former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 2 heavyweight winner Rashad Evans.

Stay tuned for more UFC 88 fight card updates.

I don't know if Dan wants to be in this guy's guard but then again it is MMA and he does have excellent GNP.

I suspect however that he will soften up Palhares on the feet first before he attempts to take him down. I give the striking advantage to Dan.

He might even want to keep it standing the whole fight. Definitely a must win for him after two consecutive losses.

Ultimate Fighter 8 video trailer and preview

^ Season 8 is the one that I'll be intently watching. I mean, it's mind boggling to have Frank Mir & Big Nog as coaches (which would definitely mean a title match for them, probably at the yearend show), but their respective assistants are a who's who of the MMA community. Frank has ADCC Absolute Champion Robert Drysdale as his grappling coach, and Big Nog has no other than Anderson Silva & Lyoto Machida as his assistants! WTF?!
