ngneer_hk
vera! vera! vera!oh yeah, i havent followed the sport long enough to know how chuck really is like, but basing on the fight, he was ... hmm mediocre, at best. your impression of chuck on that particular fight alone is, at best, inaccurate. you certainly said it right...you haven't followed the sport long enough. cheers Edited September 29, 2007 by ngneer_hk Quote Link to comment
pr0nmast3r
@MRyoso Like what 705 said, Chuck doesn't need to go to the ground. Not his specialty. but his sprawls are wicked. Well, Jardine doesn't have a good sprawl.. I still see him as a one dimensional fighter because he doesn't have a good ground def. and besides, Jardine fought a few good names in the sport. I must agree that Chuck is getting really old. He also said he doesn't wanna bang with Silva anymore. Goodbye to the dream match Quote Link to comment

Insaniac
UFC 78: Tito Ortiz vs. Dan Henderson? Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz (15-5-1) will face Dan Henderson (22-6) — not Rashad Evans — at UFC 78 on November 17 in Newark, N.J., according to a TAGG Radio report today. UFC President Dana White stated Ortiz and Evans would rematch immediately after fighting to a disappointing draw at UFC 73: “Stacked” on July 7. However, the situation could have changed since UFC 78 is now without a main event because of the Sean Sherk steroid appeal. “The Muscle Shark” was expected to defend his 155-pound title against BJ Penn at the Prudential Arena but his appeal before the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) will not be heard until October 31. “The Prodigy” is now booked to fight either Sherk or Joe Stevenson (for the vacant lightweight strap) at UFC 79 in December. While Ortiz-Evans is a nice match up, it perhaps does not have the punch to headline a show. Adding Henderson into the mix, however, would provide a much-needed lift for a rumored card that is solid but lacks high-profile names. And often names — not great fights — put more butts in seats. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” has not had a convincing win over a top opponent since his return to the Octagon in 2006. He destroyed an old Ken Shamrock (twice), eked out a split decision with Forrest Griffin, lost to Chuck Liddell and went to a three-round draw with Evans. A win over a fighter the caliber of Henderson would certainly quiet all the cynics. Henderson just dropped a hard-fought five round unanimous decision to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 75: “Champion vs. Champion” earlier this month. There was some discussion that the UFC wanted “Dangerous” Dan to join the middlweight fray (he is the current PRIDE FC 183-pound champion); however, he seems reluctant to make that commitment because he feels comfortable at light heavyweight. Well, actually, The Rock was offered to fight again in WWE. But he wants Sting, and Vince can't give Sting to him Quote Link to comment

JediMasterTebs
the guy who said chuck is a one dimensional fighter should see the Ultimate Iceman to learn more about the Chuckster.. And I'd rather not comment with that wigger Detroit Piston wannabee "Tayshaun", on his comments, I too am learning the game, I'd rather comment on what I know or ask if I'm correct rathern than b*tt off in an MMA conversation that I dont have anything to say.. Thats why I personally think maganda magkaron ng bagong fans ang UFC or MMA as a whole since everything in MMA is now diverse, from its humble beginnings in UFC 1 where you can kick the guy in the nuts and no one cares.. And of course the domination of Royce Gracie followed by the age of Severn, Shamrock, Coleman etc etc.. And since the Rock-Sting was mentioned here, if you guys dont mind, Vince wants Sting, its a fact.. Sting doesnt want the WWE because of the sexual content that WWE offers.. At least thats what the earlier reports said.. Discuss na lang natin to sa Usapang Wrestling forums.. PS: Kelan next UFC? Edited September 30, 2007 by JediMasterTebs Quote Link to comment

SevenZeroFive
im not saying silva is a pride fighter.. im just surprised chonan is in the UFC. i think a second coming is in place.^ let's generalize then about the whole PRIDE vs. UFC thing. because of Anderson Silva's success (among others), it's been proven that non-UFC bred fighters can be as successful as their UFC-bred counterparts. ayan ha, general statement na yan. Cro Cop wasn't able to adapt, but that doesn't mean that Fedor & the rest won't be able to. it's a good thing that guys like Chonan, Akihiro Gono, and the other Japanese fighters are making their way to the UFC. now they have the chance to show Generation TUF why they and their breed of fighters are revered and resepcted within the community. just imagine, Shinya Aoki with his rainbow-colored tights slapping the first gogoplata on live TV when he fights in his debut, say in UFC Fight Night. that would be just sweet. the guy who said chuck is a one dimensional fighter should see the Ultimate Iceman to learn more about the Chuckster.. And I'd rather not comment with that wigger Detroit Piston wannabee "Tayshaun", on his comments, I too am learning the game, I'd rather comment on what I know or ask if I'm correct rathern than b*tt off in an MMA conversation that I dont have anything to say.. PS: Kelan next UFC?^ uy pareng tebs napanood ko ung Ultimate Iceman, maganda nga.. to think collector's item un kc ndi xa ginawang PPV special or feature sa Spike.. siguro it's ok to have fans like that Tayshawn dude, kasi it's an indication that MMA is reaching new audiences. it might be unfortunate to hear such short-sighted comments from someone who probably has seen MMA, specifically the UFC & the UFC alone, for a short period of time, but i'm sure there are a lot who are humble enough to learn from others as well as from their own digging. onga pala, UFC 77 is only 2 weeks away.. October 21 (Manila time), 11am, same channel.. Quote Link to comment
pr0nmast3r
Well, there's no PRIDE vs UFC here. It's just a matter of adapting to the environment and to the rules Quote Link to comment
Great Milenko
It's official!!! Micheal Bisping will face Rashad Evans at UFC 78. Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva was added also Quote Link to comment
