Over dramatic. pffffttttt

Like I said earlier the police driver was able to reach safety yet he decided to reverse his car to mow down the militants. Kho was not even cornered by the militants, he just decided to take things into his own hands. I find it laughable nowadays people are cursing CHR yet run back to CHR if they become victims of renegade cop. CHR is there for a reason. Pinagmumura niyo yan pero pag kayo naging victim ng tanim droga, tanim baril or frame up wag kayo hihingi ng tulong sa kanila. :P Here in the Philippines, cops can "legally" k*ll anyone as long as they have a spare gun and no CCTV/witness. A good example is the guy who was arrested for a traffic demeanor in EDSA. His hands was handcuffed behind his back yet according to police, he tried to grab his gun so they had to take him down. Fortunately there were Netizens who uploaded the video showing his hands were really handcuffed. So who helped the family file the appropriate cases in court? Yes, CHR. The institution being bashed by Dutertards and Edmund Dantes. F*ck human rights? I say f*ck you Dutertards. :D

Reality check to the over dramatic, non-thinking citizens and die hard worshipers of Duterte. It's ok to support, idolize or even worship Duterte but please don't stop using your brain.

PS: Edmund Dantes, it's best that you review your human rights before cursing it in your future posts, FYI many of these "f*cking" human rights, I'm 100% sure, you are thoroughly enjoying in a daily basis. Unless of course you want to forfeit your human rights, live in a dog house and lick your master's boots.

Ahhhhh ganun pala kasi ang human right. Ganun ba gusto mo sabihin.

"Woooohoooo mabuhay ang human rights! Kalatan natin ng t** buong pilipinas, gahasain natin lahat ng babae! Magwala tayo! t** sa kaliwa! t** sa kananan, t** sa lahat! At di dapat tayo galawain dahil yan ang human rights. waaaaaah magwala tayo! Manggulo tayo!

Soap opera mentality ginagamit mo dito. Ang liwanag naman, parehong me pagkukulang parehong panig dito. Pero it all goes back to simple cause and effect, hindi ito mauuwi sa karahasan kung naging sibilisado lang ang mga demonstrador.

At isa pala, ikaw din you keep bashing the police, pero I bet pag naholdup ka, sa pulis ka din naman tatakbo. And may I remind you also that you sleep sound at night because of the men in uniform who patrol your backyard, at sila nakikipaghabulan sa mga adik at masasamang elemento.

Well you are a lawyer, hindi lahat kayang i prove beyond reasonable doubt pero alam mo may kalokohang ginagawa. So habang gathering evidence muna pwede naman ilipat sa MIndanao hindi para maghasik na lagin kundi para ma out of place siya, Wala pa siyang influence sa area para gumawa ng kalokohan. At alam niya na under the radar siya sa itaas kaya siya na transfer. But I kknow you already know this right?

When i heard about this rally outside a U.S. Embassyi had to see the videos. I find it really amusing that police officers in the Philippines are so inept at handling and tackling riots. Police aren't equipped to handle riots. They should form a sub branch of the military who are deployed to handle riots and civil unrest within the state.

Like in the U.S. the National Guard is a branch of the military who are also considered army reserves who act as peacekeepers within the country to repel civil unrest.

It's so laughable that the police are too overwhelmed with these situations that the government lets them handle it knowing that they don't have the capability to handle the situation. I am also laughing at the fact that police can't handle paint bombs? really? paint bombs and a bunch of wooden 2x 4's and they panic.

I wonder what the Philippine police would do if the rioters started putting cars on fire and throwing molotov cocktails at them like what happened to Charlotte NC or even the rioting in Milwaukee Wisc.

The Philippines is so lucky they only gotta deal with some paint bombs and other stuff and they whine and cry about human rights. I read some were injured. at least they're going to live

They have it so much better than what Americans are dealing with right now. We got it worst. People actually died.

like i said, kung bihira ang rallies sa US embassy maiintindihan ko pa na hindi sila handa...

kung sabagay, kung NICA na nga sa lampoon news kumukuha ng intelligence, what more out PNP.....

so, you expect na bababa ang prices ng san miguel products?

if not, ginagawa lang nila yun para mas lumaki kita nila.

Sige ano pang negative reactions mo.. banat pa..

There is no debate na me pagkukulang sa contingency mga pulis natin. What I cannot take however is the notion na kesyo mga pasista yun pulis, na kasalanan ito nanaman ni Duterte kasi binigyan nya ng go signal mga pulis maging marahas sa suspects blah blah blah!. Yes the police did not prepare proper contingency at yun ang kasalanan nila.

Sulusyon dito, NO PERMIT NO RALLY. It is to protect both sides.

Kung me permit, at least alam kung sino sasama sa rally so me mapapanagot.

At pag talagang walang permit, di illegal assembly sana dapat yan.

My father is buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani, he fought as a guerrilla in WW2 and was a veteran of the Korean war. He earned his right to be buried there. He never turned his back on his country even when there was an opportunity to live in the U.S. as a recognised USAFFE, he turned it down.

He had a first hand experience of the cruelty of the Marcos regime when he was accused of helping financially the activists in UP. Put in jail in Crame, he was only released when FVR a fellow veteran in Korea helped him to get out but was told to go on hiding for his safety.

Marcos if indeed he was a soldier lost his right to be buried there when he turned against his country for his own selfish greed.

Entering LNMB the quote from Gen MacArthur says " I do not know the dignity of their birth but I do know the glory of their death".

My father may have not died in glory of the battlefield but he lived in the glory as a soldier.

james cutter will not believe a word you say because he needs proof. links. convictions.

and others here also do not give credence :-) to the those who suffered under the Marcos regime.

The incident shows how the police were outmaneuvered by the saboteurs.

They were expecting the usual peaceful picket, but were met with rallyists whose real intention is to create a violent incident for media coverage.

It was a failure in leadership and tactics on the part of the ground commander. I'm sure he's got the punishment coming to him by now.

I don't think the riot leaders can stage another fiasco like that the next time.

well i don't know what you think about rallies and protests, but the majority of protests and rallies that i've seen aren't peaceful. There is no such thing as a peaceful rally, you will always expect that it will escalate into something and its something that the police are ill equipped to handle. They should have seen this happening or planned for this as a contingency. if you look at rallies and protests around the world. people will always start something to create chaos

to me the way the police reacted just shows a lack of preparation and training. They shouldn't even be there in the first place. Police shouldn't be handling riots and rallies. The government should create a task force that handles riots,

I blame the government here for their lack of foresight. Are they naive or just plain stupid to think that police can handle riots or they thought that the protesters wouldn't get riled up and escalate the situation. The rally was a timebomb waiting to go off all it needed was one push and everything falls apart.

The solution is, create a National Guard that handles civil riots. Don't use the police. Police have enough responsibilities to think about don't add anymore duties for them to handle its too much.

ganito lang ang point ko....

if the farmer sells to the trader the rice for P5.00 per kilo..... and he will sell the same to SMC for the same price.... what difference does it make?

So if the current situation is like this:

farmer to trader: P5/k

trader to SMC: P10k

SMC to consumers: P20/K

and now what will happen is this:

Farmer to SMC: P5/K

SMC to Consumer: P20/K

sino ba talaga ang nakinabang????

And there’s more: Sweden is also set to reopen its embassy in Manila after shutting it down in 2008 because of budget cuts, recognizing the importance of trade with the Philippines which has become one of the region’s fastest-growing economies.

Biggest-ever delegation

Next month, Sweden’s biggest-ever business delegation to Manila, led by Swedish Minister of Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg, will be in the Philippines. The visit will coincide with the reopening of the Swedish Embassy in Taguig.

Contrary to what is being reported in the mainstream media, fourteen ambassadors representing the member-countries of the European Union (EU) have expressed their continued support for the Duterte administration’s 10-point socioeconomic agenda and bared plans to invest more in the Philippines, particularly in infrastructure, energy and civil security, among other fields of interest.

In a recent meeting with Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, the ambassadors from the EU countries also emphasized their cooperation with the Philippines in implementing the peace agreement in Mindanao.

Led by Ambassador Franz Jessen, the head of the EU delegation to the Philippines, the 14 ambassadors who met with Dominguez were from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, Romania, Denmark, Hungary, and Sweden.

They expressed their interest in “working closely” with the Philippines in implementing its 10-point socioeconomic agenda on inclusive growth.

Yes most rallies end up sa gulo. But it does not mean that efforts on both parties can be made so we can have healthy exercise of democracy and not be acting like animals on the streets.

Ang problema they have the "maximun tolerance" policy.

That's why its called a democracy because you are allowed a voice. Like what you and I are doing right now. We are allowed to voice our opinion regarding these matters that happen in society. What i'm trying to point out is there is a lack or preparation and foresight on the police's part when it came to defusing the tense situation with the protesters

First of all, protests and rallies are within the rights afforded to citizens to do. But the failure comes on the part of the police because once the rally started they should have immediately started a dialogue with the leaders of the rally and set groundrules on the protest.

Immediately they should have prepared non lethal dispersal weapons like water pellets, or pepperball rounds that disperse on impact. But only as a last resort.

As far as i read there was no dialogue between the police and the leaders of the rally. Communication is important to have in these type of highly charged confrontation between the police and the protesters. It would help to defuse the tension

You can't blame all of the protesters for starting any trouble. In a mob mentality its easy for people who purposely want to start a physical fight to hide. That makes it difficult for the police to track down the perps in a protest because some protesters there are protesting in a peaceful manner. The real perps hide within the crowd while planning out something to spark a violent reaction against the police

The reason the police are blamed here is because of their failure to act and react properly to these situations. The police who got in the van and started to ran over people to try to get them to disperse was a panic move if i've ever seen one. It shows a lack of training and proper procedure to handle what was happening.

Ive never seen riot police in other countries run over people, they stand their ground and use other means of dispersal methods on the crowds

Protesters will be protesters there are true believers to the cause and there are people who just want to start something to provoke the other side to react violently.

The police failed to see or predict that these things might happen and when it started happening, they panicked.

The police managed to make themselves look like jackasses on TV showing their inexperience to handle a riot properly. It only empowered the troublemakers to use rallies to try to provoke police into reacting improperly.

One thing's for sure they need to go back to taking Riot Crisis Management classes in order to be more prepared.
