Batman rules. hehehehe

 

Speaking of Bats.. I've decided to get this month's Batman and I also had the copies of the last two months reserved.. Why? It seems that the Grant Morrison run in Bats has been pretty underrated.. Reviews have stated that Morrison is slowly building up to the Batman RIP storyline, and its stated that all his stories in Bats are tied-up to this major event.. I currently have all the Morrison written storylines in Batman but I decided not to get this year's issues (Dec, Jan and Feb), but now after reading the reviews, I'd rather not take any chances.. Baka magkaubusan pa.. Kaya reserved na lahat yung tatlong titles na yan.. haha.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Putik! Mukhang isang katutak na naman ang lalabas na comics na nasa pull-list ko next week ah.. I checked the sites, and I saw 3 Divided We Stand tie-ins.. Uncanny #496, XForce #2 (wtf? ang bilis nito lumabas ah!), and Cable #1.. Looks like Marvel is trying to capitalize on the Messiah Complex arc.. Get new readers while its hot, I guess!! hehe.. I think I have 9 titles that are in my pull list that would ship next week.. Arraayyyy Kooo Poooo!!!

 

I browsed some of the comics that I got this week.. Of all the comics I scanned, I liked Kick Ass #1.. It was different and has a fresh outlook.. This is Millar in his finest.. :thumbsupsmiley: This title will definitely be in my monthly pull-list.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Nakakita ka ng issue na ito sa Recto? Wow! The first appearance of Wolverine is Hulk #181 and is worth $1,400 in Mint Condition.. Whoever bought that even if the issue is not mint is pretty lucky..

I dunno, but I might not continue the Cable series.. Even though I know that its included in the Divided We Stand arc.. I feel that it ain't really that important.. Coz the storyline might just be about another time-travel adventure for Cable.. Na wala ng appeal for me coz gasgas na siya.. Kaya tentative pa kung kukunin ko ang Cable #1.. hehe...

 

I will continue all of the other titles above, and I am pretty much excited on the 2nd series of the Dark Tower series.. The End League does not have a lot of fan-base (compared to Spooks of Devil's Due) but I liked the first issue.. Terry Moore's Echo is another comic that is in the same mold in Jeff Smith's RASL.. Both are self-published books and most probably be delayed.. I will most probably continue both series as I heard rave reviews on Jeff Smith's Bone and Moore's Strangers In Paradise..

@khumpleetist: You better check out Devil's Due's "Spooks.." Issue #1 was sold out (daw) in the States.. Baka may makita ka pa dito, you might want to get a copy.. Baka kasi tumaas ito.. Don't quote me on that.. Wala naman masama na sugalan siya eh.. haha.. Its actually a cross between Hellboy's/BPRD's storyline and that of the horror-themed monsters like Dracula, Werewolf, etc.. Its a nice read, IMO..

Di ko binuksan yung Kick-Ass # 1 pati Rasl # 1, antayin ko na lang sigurong makatapos ng arc bago ko basahin. Pero 50/50 ang review sa Kick-Ass ah. Pero parang lamang yung may mga gusto ito. Buti hindi ka kumuha ng Criminal Vol 2 # 1. Daming magandang review dito.

Nga pala, I just closed the deal and got the Secret Wars set! I haven't browsed all the issues although some has very minor defects but issue # 7 and # 8 were perfect! :cool: And I feel na pag nakita mo din eh pasado sa taste mo. I'll post pics in the future kapag di na ako tinatamad na magpunta sa computer shop paa magpa-upload ng pictures sa digicam. I already told the guy na interesado kayo ni reachard dun sa Death Of Cap arc pero try ko muna kung makukuha ko this month. Pag di ko makukuha eh magbato bato pik na lang kayo ni bro reachard. Hahaha! :evil: Ganda pa naman ng condition.

 

At kahit masakit sa loob ko pero dahil mas masakit sa bulsa ko eh hindi na ako kukuha ng mga bagong titles ngayong March except Dark Tower. Di na talaga kaya ng budget ko. Dami ko pa namang gustong kunin pero recommend ko sa 'yo 'tong mga 'to bro:

After Messiah Complex sunod-sunod ang dating ng mga titles na part ng Divided We Stand.. That is what I hate about Marvel eh, minsan masyado nilang minamadali ang mga issues dahil hot yung pinangalingan na arc.. Right now, although I would still get XForce's first arc, I feel na medyo minadali ng writer ang storyline nito.. I just hope Aaron, Brubaker and Carey won't be asked to finish their respective "X" arcs haphazardly..

 

Buti hindi ka kumuha ng Criminal Vol 2 # 1. Daming magandang review dito.

 

Para kasing hindi siya tataas masyado in value.. Plus the fact na madami na din akong kinukuha.. Sayang din ang 135 bucks, hehehe....

Ginasgas kasi ng Marvel ang mga apperances ni Cable in the late 90's eh.. The stories were all so-so.. And in Wizard, it was revealed na time-travel na naman ito.. Cable was not used properly (IMO) by Marvel in the 90's and they just destroyed the chacracter with the Cable/Deadpool series.. The X-Ecutioner's Song which focused on Cable was a lame cross-over.. Kaya medyo nagdadalawang isip ako sa Cable.. But I will look at the reviews this Thursday and will decipher kung kunin ko siya o hindi..

 

The next arc daw sa Green Lantern (29-31 yata) would be a re-telling of an origin.. Hal Jordan's yata.. I won't be getting this na siguro coz I would be focusing more on the important events na and on my indie titles.. But if it does have a tinge of importance, baka isama ko pa din siya sa pull-list ko.. I am currently not getting the Corps anymore.. Just got the Mongul cover and I decided to stop there..

 

It seems na maganda ang fan-base ng Dark Tower.. Mukhang magandang i-continue ang arcs for (as you said) investment purposes.. Try mo yung Spooks, bro.. First issue lang naman for investment purposes din.. haha..

Batman: RIP would be slated after the three batmen storyarc.. Hindi "death" yun, pare ah.. Its actually RIP lang.. We still dunno if Morrison would really k*ll Batman.. I doubt it.. I don't think Morrison would ride the "death of" bandwagon.. Nauna na na pinatay si Captain America eh, I doubt if Morrison would follow.. Knowing Morrison, he would rather be the starter of the bandwagon than a follower.. hehehe...

Sana nga hindi sila mapressure or madaliin. The good news about that team eh hindi daw nila papalitan yung mga teams according to Nick Lowe. Di ko lang sigurado kung yung mga writers lang ang hindi papalitan at may madadagdag pa nga daw. Dun sa mga bagong issue na mabilis lumabas eh nakaka-asar nga pag ganyan. Ubos tuloy ang budget.

Thanks for the info, di ko masyado nasundan yung X-Ecutioner pero nag-enjoy ako dun! Dun naman sa Cable & Deadpool eh si Deadpool ang bumenta. Pero in fairness to C&D eh entertaining ang mga storya lalo na kapag si Fabian Nicieza ang writer.

Studios pa naman ito (tama ba?) kaya di sure kung kunin ito ni Sandy (Comic Odyssey), dpat i-order ng advance..

 

Yep, its from Boom Studios. Wala akong idea sa mga characters dito bro pero feel ko lang na magtataas ito ng value.

Halos pareho tayo ah. Bro, w/regards sa New Dynamix eh hindi ako sure na ok yan pero for price value eh ok naman siguro kasi may mga key apperances jan. I agree w/revi na kunin mo na lang yung Detective kesa sa Batman kasi nga parang intro na din yung pagdating dun sa RIP arc. Hindi ko pa binasa yung Superpowers # 1 kasi mukhang mabibitin ako pero hindi naman siguro parang versus 'to.

Sakit nga sa bulsa nitong mga hobby natin pero hopefully this March or April eh settle down na ako. Of course w/the exceptions of The Big Two's summer events eh mukhang ok na ako sa budget. Morisson won't k*ll Bats but I read somewhere that he'll get crucified. Dunno kung physically or what. Magbabasa na lang ako sa Wizard ng update dito kasi hindi ko ito kukunin dahil nga sa budget.
