Lets admit it, that is the cheesiest ring entrance song ever conceived. But apparently, Manny has a lot of Yes people in his entourage lol. Dapat sabi eye of the tiger na lang.

Here are some fighters na astig mga ring entrance

1. Klitschko Bros (Usually, Can't stop ng Red Hot Chili Peppers yung music)

2. Naseem Hamed

3. RJJ

4. Floyd Mayweather. Gusto ko yung may kasamang circus act sa entourage to the music of the apprentice theme

4. Of course Mike Tyson. Usually the sound of metals clanking lang to intimidate opponent.

I mean, I take nothing away from pacquiao, he did raise the flag of the Philippines, pero para sakin, he is a sports hero lang. He is no Jose Rizal and the idiot who said he is Martin Luther king should be shot in the balls.

Nakakainis, you encounter some of them on social media, and you tell them na tingin mo si Mayweather mananalo, they throw things at you like, "Makapili" "taksil" "Huwag tawagin sarili na pinoy". Im like... WTF? Therefore walang binabayaran na buwis.

Well here it is, the first episode of the docuseries from showtime. If you ask me, I found it quite boring. Puro kasi perspective lang ni Mayweather (I am rooting for him to win though), naririnig. Tsaka I found nothing really new and insightful dito sa series na ito. Its the same old Mayweather that I have seen over and over again. I was expecting being an entertainer and having embraced the role of the sports villain, hed really bring it this time. I guess people wanted him to be more appreciated as a fighter than the character? Hmmmmm Pacquiao is barely in this episode. I guess yung perspective nya makikita natin sa HBO. Kaso isang 1 hour episode lang yata iproduce nila.

i have read from one article, sinabi ni alex ariza na sa last 4 bouts ni manny, wala naman daw pinagbago or new strategy sa mga trainings niya kaya hindi nya ma KO ang mga kalaban niya... malamang daw ganun din ang gawin nila kay Floyd dahil pera pera lang ang habol nila pareho...

for me huwag naman sana na ganito ulit ang mentality ng team pacquiao this time. sana may concrete plan sila and strategy on how to beat Mayweather.

hmmmmm

According to another insider, sabi nya talaga daw nitong huli (leading to the KO loss to Marquez) talaga daw nagiging tamad na sa training si Pacquiao.

I don't know how Ariza's departure will affect Manny's conditioning but yeah he will need more than athleticism to beat floyd. Strategy nga talaga.

hwag lang ma tsambahan ni gayweather I think pacman will win in inside of 7 rounds. both of them are older boxers na so vdont expect a slugfest and pacmans opponent is the play safe ilag ilag style. he'll be looking for a lucky punch to defeat pacman. he wont risk getting hit by a knockout punch from pacman. more likely he'll be looking at a 12 round decision hoping he can win on points.

He will box him a lot and frustrate him. Hopefully Manny will be an intelligent bull.

After his two losses eh it wouldn't be surprising na may "nothing to lose" mentality na yung tao kasi wala na sya record or winning streak na pinangangalagaan. Perfect way for him to retire. Undisputed pound-for-pound boxer of his time. Kailangan eh, to keep up with his newfound lifestyle.

Only Mayweather has a rematch clause, if May loses, the rematch is automatic. No rematch clause for Manny. If he loses that's it.

Lol @ believing anything Alex Ariza says.

Interesting, pwedeng conspiracy theory.

So there is a lot of incentive for Manny to win this fight talaga.

Sabi ni Mayweather, when you lose or get knocked out, it stays with you. On the other hand, what is one more talo kay Manny? So dapat all in siya diba?

Si Mayweather siguro mas may kaba na matalo siya for the first time, kaya baka maging conservative siya, which is anyway his game plan naman... to fight "smart".

I saw the video that Edmund posted, interesting video about Mayweather and some insights about Bob Arum, etc. When he was young, he would still thank the person "above" for his wins, pero not sure if he still does it now. Also realized that he was still young when he said that he is doing his "attitude" to get the money. But he did say something that made me think that he is doing it not just to get money, but he really thinks that way nga talaga. He just says that he does what is normal, so normal talaga na trash talker siya, not just for show. Well that is what I understood from his statement.

I found the HBO documentary more entertaining than the one produced by showtime. Pasaring talaga. Although, that isn't saying much either kasi Masyadong biased yung perspectives nung magkahiwalay na palabas.

Now as I have said before, I truly believe na its not ALL Mayweathers fault kung bakit di matuloy tuloy ang laban na ito. I actually thought, Mayweather acted like a bully forcing his demands for stricter dope testing. While ok yung idea siguro in paper lalo sa UFC dami nahuhuli dyan, sana ginawa ni Mayweather nagappeal sya sa mga athletic commissions na palitan protocol nila para lahat ng boxingero lalabanan nya man o hindi eh magpapatest din. Kasi how can he clean up the sport when puros yung mga lalabanan nya lang ang gusto nya magtest. Tingin ko dito, he really wanted to negotiate the fight himself kay Pacquiao ng walang pakikialam promoters nya. That incident in Miami proved more or less na tama ako.

Now going back to the docu. The hero is boring without the villain. It felt like kwento nanaman ng rags to riches story ni Pacquiao na paulitulit na lang natin naririnig. Na he is the great hope for our country, he is god-fearing, he is a humble guy blah blah blah. And Mayweather? I expected him to be a better villain in this series pero pano kung laging perspective nya lang ang pinapalabas sa showtime. I expected actually both of them to clash with speeches before the fight itself. Thats what made 24/7 interesting. Now its just blaaaaaaaaaaah.

In terms of being informative though tungkol sa history nila, mas ok yung sa HBO. Kaso lang, may part 2 pa kasi yung sa showtime, so baka mas ok yung 2 or 3 episodes pa.

Nonetheless, its the fight lang naman we are all after so lets wait and see how it all plays out

Very interesting. Lol.

Well at the end of the day, its not trainers who will be at that center of the ring to fight

the HBO documentary is so much more than the Showtime version, and I'm not talking about the content

the 24/7 team just has so much more talent than anyone else (that includes the ESPN 30 for 30 guys). They're playing a whole different ball game than anyone else, and they truly are the masters of hype.

I watched the showtime version and it bored me, there was nothing in the first episode that got me excited about the fight, it was a lot of Floyd breast beating that we've all seen before, whereas the HBO one had the whole lead up to the fight, from the first negotiations, to the drug testing, to Roach's waiter, things that casual viewers don't know about. And they built it up properly and made you excited about how it was going down. I didn't even feel like it was heavily biased towards Pacquiao either, the whole thing was about how the fight was made. And of course Liev Shrieber does a great job narrating the whole thing.

this is what's most interesting to me

He don’t know s--t anyways, he don’t anything about no damn boxing, I do know that. I know he doesn’t know anything about boxing and he don’t know what to tell anyone anyways. If he does know anything, it’s some dirty s--t and it’s something that nobody wants to use or hear about. Nobody is into that kind of mess.

It's pretty obvious what Floyd Sr. is talking about here, especially given the reports that Memo Heredia was seen in the Mayweather camp talking to Ariza. And whenever you see Memo at any sort of training camp, you can be 90% sure that some shady sh1t is going down.

Memo is a world class cheat

After the BALCO scandal ( which he testified to save his own skin) he even changed his name to Angel Hernandez.

But admittedly this guy is way ahead of the game when it comes to performance enhancing drugs. He really knows his s@%t.

He's just not a world class trainer.

I agree that the HBO documentary was overall better produced than showtime's. The HBO documentary was more entertaining although it is a biased perspective. Obviously that's because Mayweather and his entire camps perspective could be heard in the opposite show.

I never enjoyed the showtime documentaries. They really need to put a better team to produce their prefight docuseries. It could use a better script (for the narrators), better scoring, better editing etc.

I guess one reason this is a bit of a letdown is because we are expecting to see an actual conflict before the fight itself. ANd how can there be any real conflict when the two are on separate shows? It would have been perfect. Hero Vs the Villain. Clash of insights from both in one show. Oh well.... lets just look forward to the fight itself.

Cotto Margarito 2, now thats my favorite 24/7 episode although it had only 2 episodes. It had everything you want in a prefight docuseries

Whoa

Still no tickets on sale for the general public

Contracts for the hotel arrangement and some promotional responsibilities have not yet been signed

WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON HERE?

All fingers are pointing to Ellorbe and Mayweathers management team who are now being accused of manipulating ticket sales way too much. Is this still legal ba? Not only is it becoming the most expensive fight ever, its now becoming the most difficult fight to get tickets too.

Kahit pa siguro 2 hours before the fight magrelease ng tickets, marami pa din manonood.
