vcm643
the big names in boxing are gone... dont even know who the heavyweight champs are at the moment... gone are the days of tyson, holyfield or the likes of duran, leonard, hearns ang hagler Quote Link to comment
hardtohandle
he could be top 15 definitely, but as far as achievement, he definitely doesn't belong there he's not even a title contender yet, hasn't even had his title shot yet, and he's above Rashad, and Faber? that doesn't make sense bro. i bet matt hughes could take him. That would be the Sherdog's Top 10 MMA fighters list, hehehehe! Lyoto has a huge following in Sherdog so I wont be surprised if that is based on a Sherdog list of top 10 MMA fighters (considering that Fedor is numero uno in that list.) By the way, Rashad is no. 5 in the that list. But Matt Hughes could take down The Dragon? You gotta be kidding man, hehehehe! Machida will toy the Matt Hughes in his prime like a Barney Rubble action figure, hehehehe! Quote Link to comment

johnnydrama
nice thread bro dragonei. actually, i don't see any reason why there should still be boxing sing MMA encapsulates boxing. meaning, boxing is part of the mixed martial arts and when mma was starting, there were boxers complete with their gloves, shorts and shoes squaring off against other martial artists. i mean, those boxers should join mma if they reall think their craft is better. buti pa si eric esch, he's man enough to paticipate in mma. has anyone seen yung fight nya against Cabbage? panalo. one lost tooth, the other broke his elbow. anyways, i don't see any reason to watch boxing anymore. mma is here. All the more reason why the likes of Mike Tyson should look to joining an MMA stable as a way to put the spark back into their careers. It shouldn't be too late.... Already, former WWE contender Bobby Lashley is joining Lesnar in that field Quote Link to comment

The Klitchko bros are the terror of the division. Vladimir is way better than his bro, btw. On to the topic. Boxing is fading. MMA is still on the way up. What killed boxing is the sell-outs, the unfit boxers...mga pustahan na malalaki. That to name a few. Add to the fact na obviously, mas diverse ang MMA, although isang outfit na lang talaga ang matatag ngayon, which is UFC. Quote Link to comment

Unless they have a wrestling background. I see Lashley doing good in MMA. He, like Lesnar (same initials btw) are both freaks of nature. Both big and agile, plus the wrestling background. Machida will toy the Matt Hughes in his prime like a Barney Rubble action figure, hehehehe! The reason why Lyoto is in the top 10 is his record. It speaks for itself. BUT, not to take away from his talents, he has to fight the big names now. Yeah, his last fight was pretty sweet, KO'ing a KO artist, but he should be fighting a hight level of fighters. His title shot? yeah, he deserves it. What annoys me with his style is parang takot, suntok, then takbo. Well, yun nga, kanya kanyang style. He's just to slippery for anyone who he has fought, and sabi nga ni Joe Rogan, it's hard to prepare for someone like Machida, kase mahirap makahanap ng sparring partner with his skills sets. With the issue on Matt Hughes taking down Lyoto, well, i don't think he can. He's too slippery. Would love to see him fight GSP though. IN the right weight class lang sana, hehehe. kreator929
bruce actually manages michael's career, and he has always been his brother's business manager, even before bruce got into MMA. there was one early UFC if I recall correctly where Michael announced the fights, I can't recall which one it is though. I love bruce for his turn too, sometimes he gets so pumped up about the upcoming fight, you can hear the intensity in his voice, and it almost seems like he's about to go fight too. I agree with you bro. To me, among the brothers, Bruce really do care about the sport, while Mike is , you know doing it just for the dough. Quote Link to comment
kreator929
They said Arlovski might transition into boxing! KJ Noons is a MMA/ Pro boxer, I read that he will concentrate more in boxing! By the way Vince Mcmahon (WWE owner) already owns 20% of the UFC! Obviously WWE is not dying! We ju got older and realized it was fake! Hehehe... :thumbsupsmiley: Will MMA k*ll Pro boxing! Hell No! But one day MMA will reach or be at the same level of Pro Boxing! In terms of PPV sales, MMA/UFC is selling more than Boxing! But in terms of fighters payout boxing has the upper hand! :thumbsdownsmiley: Dang, is that right? Vinnie Mac owning part of the UFC? Well it's a win win situation, business wise. Just don't create UFC storylines and incorporate them into the WWE Quote Link to comment
