bluevodka
at some point, yes maraming nagbago yet kaunti ang changes na nangyari sa Ginebra in terms of it's lineup however, sticking to one's lineup is an advantage then naman. i think nagkatalo lang talaga sa adjustments pag naglalaro na. di na kailangang sisihin ang import, sino pa ba kakailanganin nilang import pag ganun?! they should need that same drive they've had nung nag-champion sila with Jong the first time. When they won the Championship for the first time with Jong, they have Siot as the asst. coach.. Ang rumor dati pa, si siot naghhanadle ng plays pag crucial na.. KABADO YAN SI JONG pag 4th quarter. pizzapandesal
change the coach, coach na defense oriented, kahit c franz pumaren na lang, c franz ang pumalit kay jong para magchampion ang La Salle Quote Link to comment
Agent_mulder
Hindi ko talaga maintindihan ang nangyayari sa Ginebra in this conference. Admittedly, they are not as strong as the other teams pero sa tingin ko may ibubuga naman kahit paano ang current line-up nila (and they should not be mired in the bottom of the standings) at okay naman ang import nila. With the way they are playing, things are bleak for them in this conference.. zaguuu
plain and simple lamh problema palitan talaga ang coach, jong is not a coach dummy lang yan, nung sa DLSU yan si Ron jacobs ang nagbibigay ng PLAY, yes it's true nung bumaba si siot as asst to jong during their 2 championship si siot talaga ang tumatawag ng plays kasi kahit papano si siot nirerespeto ng player si jong puro taas ng pantalon nya ang ginagawa Quote Link to comment
kLique
Correct ka dyan pareng Klique....Coach Yeng now made us believe that winning basketball games can be done even without a single superstar in their roster....Just an all team effort, hussle plays, help defense, unselfish plays and believing with each other....I wouldnt be suprise if they play once again in the semifinals....Last conference they almost made it to the finals.... yep! no-nonsense basketball unlike now...there are too many egos to satisfy @^and guess who Coach Yeng looks up to and wants to imitate? Jawo's Ginebra Team I wouldn't be surprised... the owner of RB and Jawo continue to be good friends to this dateand of course you'd expect Coach Yeng to consult with Mr. Chua regarding the style of the teamand mr. Chua is sure to ask Jawo... kumbaga friendly advise lang change the coach, coach na defense oriented, kahit c franz pumaren na lang, c franz ang pumalit kay jong para magchampion ang La Salle you mean BGK don't you? With the way they are playing, things are bleak for them in this conference.. this has been an issue kahit nung SMB days pa ni jong.. kung cno mainit, sya ung ilalabas at kung cno ung malas, sya ung babad.. sayang nga talaga ung habol nila last time.. pro sana, hindi nilabas c artadi.. they could have artadi, helterbrand and caguioa at the same time.. and ung time na un, medyo sira ung diskarte ng TNT.. well, la ng magagawa.. talagang sablay e.. @howard - talagang gusto mo si siot sa inyo ah.. ok lang, basta wag si ryan ung ilalagay sa amin.. mix.boyz
Its pity to see what's happening with BGK... Same offense, same defense, same rotation and same results....Standing: Win - 1 Loss - nyahh i dont want to mention Guys, did you notice Helterbrand's play? He is a dribble happy guy who will hog the ball the whole 15 seconds standing near the mid-court and rush it out on last second/s only to shoot or pass the ball....What a lousy play and a lousy guy....did he think he is Michael Jordan who can alway hit the last second shot...and i cant decipher how Coach Jong allowed that kind of play repeatedly considering the fact that they are struggling on offense in that quarter and down on points.... I dont want to single out JJ's hoggling of the ball...its also Mark d Spark who also made this kind of play....no offense play, no assists, just a simple dribble and shoot the ball with no rebounder....ang nakakainis dito pag malas si Spark at si JJ parang nahahawa ang lahat ng players.... Just my opnion and observation... peace Quote Link to comment
kLique
season is pretty much over for BGK... I do hope they (or at least their sister teams) own their first round pick for next year as it looks to be a high one... out of curiousity... did you guys ever noticed that since SMC acquired at least 3 teams in the PBA one always had to be the bad apple... I mean not that they didn't have a decent line up (except for the time Coke was decimated by that lopsided trade) but they really couldn't compete Quote Link to comment

malaki
simply put, helterbrand and caguioa's games are too similar - overdribbling, forced shots, only caring about putting up shots and points, not winning games. i think ginebra should seriously decide which one to keep, and trade the other while he still has value as a crowd favorite (although away from bgk, who's to say if the fans would follow) and otherwise, just keep losing games.. and pick up gabe norwood for next year. ray004
in fairness kay jayjay and mark, sila pa rin ang cornerstone ng ginebra. isa man sa kanila mawala malaki ang magiging epekto sa team. wala lang chemistry ang team ngayon dahil sa mga bago at nawalang mga players. Quote Link to comment

orionpax
Even with the "dribble happy" guys in tow...its the COACH that should maximize with whats on-hand and make do with the line up that he has at his disposal (make adjustments, strategies, etc) ... Parang ganito "Mark this is you, JJ this is you, Alex tirahin mo sa kamay ha..hampasin mo! " Edited May 14, 2008 by orionpax Quote Link to comment
pogingpogi
For me dapat palitan talaga yung coach malaki nagagastos ng company para sa BGK sana man lang maisipisp nila yun....why not bring back siot or ronnie magsanoc to coach BGK Quote Link to comment
