Report: Steph Curry to begin testing injured knee on court next week

A sprained MCL injury to his right knee is expected to keep Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry out for at least two weeks. Curry will be re-evaluated after that period, and if he is able to return, it would likely be at some point in the middle of the second round. Golden State is waiting for the winner of the Trail Blazers and Clippers, after punking the Houston Rockets in Game 5 and advancing to the conference semifinals.

The Warriors were able to get past the Rockets without Curry, but he is desperately needed if they want to win another championship. When Curry will exactly be back is still undetermined, however, according to ESPN's Marc Spears, he is expected to test his knee out on the court next week.

This is obviously encouraging news for the Warriors but should not be seen as a report that Curry will be returning in a week. Also, the Warriors will be cautious with Curry, much like they were when he hurt his ankle early in their series against the Rockets. So if they said two weeks, the Warriors will likely stick to that timeline.

Whenever Golden State's coaching and training staff determine that Curry is at 100 percent, he will return. And remember, the good thing is that Curry will return at some point in the postseason. His knee injury wasn't that serious but the Warriors don't want to risk anything in their quest to repeat as champions.

Impressive shooting the 3 while moving sideways.

Had a chance to see Kobe do this once in a regular season game at Staples.

Rare exhibition of shooting prowess.

Good job too to Lilliard for carrying his team.

Too bad one team had to lose.

But both teams played superb in game 4
