Ong Bak 2

It took Tony Jaa many years to finish the movie. May kasama pang walkout plus demand to put his friend in the movie and more money kasi sobrang over budget.

Great action. Other martial arts were featured as well. But Tony jaa is best with muy thai. Its also weird that on one fight against an african he used a jujitso gracie move. Wala pa at that time.

The ending is really super bitin. Its looks like na may sequel pa.

the fast and the furious 4

saw it last night at the movies. hehe.. seeing this movie in the big screen. the action was that good whether it was coreographed or with the aid of cgi.

story line.. err.. medyo mababaw but this is an action flick involving cars.

the movie is set before the events in F&F3 (you can see Han at the beginning of the movie).

medyo spoiler but bwisit na mga writers.. pinatay nila ang character ni michelle rodriguez sa simula, making it the driving motivation in this movie.

masmaraming chase scenes and racing in this movie but less hot girls or girls that dance on skimpy outfits.

wolverine is an action packed flick. somehow accurate to the comics. cool fight scenes than that of the past xmen movies.

and of course, you have to stay until the credits roll because there are 2 scenes to be shown. but both i think were pointless

They weren't pointless. The scene with Stryker wasn't the easter egg scene. But the scene with Wolverine in Japan is hint of the sequel. Also, the other scene with Weapon XI is also a hint for a Deadpool spin-off.

Seven Pounds - - - Will Smith

Story - 4.5/5 Ganda ng story, about atonement and redemption

Pacing - 3/5 Bandang gitna ng movie masyadong mabagal at redundant yung scenes

Another tearjerking movie. About a man's road to redemption. He lost his love during an accident that he caused and killed others in the process. If I would go from this world to the other, I would gladly go like he(Tim) did in the movie. If you have a diverse taste in movies or just like watching drama then this would be an excellent movie to watch when you have the time.

push (2009)

"push" stars fantastic four veteran chris evans, also known as johnny storm in the fantastic four movies. djimon hounsou who recently played alongside leonardo dicaprio in the thriller blood diamond; camilla belle known for recent roles in 10,000 bc & the remake of when a stranger calls; dakota fanning, who starred in recent blockbusters such as "man on fire" & "war of the worlds".

id like to say that the people behind this movie did a really great job. although the onscreen chemistry between fanning & evans were what made the movie great, newcomer belle still did a great job as kira hudson. the setting takes place in modern day hongkong, which added great depth and mystery to the plot.

the story is about kira; who escapes from a secret organization called division; that genetically engineers humans to use them as their own slave army. she meets nick and cassie; a girl who can see the future. they embark on a journey using their "gifts" to finally stop division and save themselves from death. along the way they encounter people with different kinds of abilities and the only way. i like the movie, the only problem is they didnt explain the story that well; which gives most of us a certain "huh?" feeling after.

3/5 Stars

Fact indeed that it was action packed. But to say somehow accurate is overstatement. Konti lng siguro. The beginning was somewhat adapted to the comics but in the comics, Sabertooth (Victor Creed, played by Liev Schreiber), was not a brother of Logan and was never part of that incident wherein Logan's father was killed and ran with Sabertooth. Sabertooth was not part of that story in comics. There were characters that were taken out in the movie in that scene. What was extremely wrong in the movie was what they did to Deadpool. And the Blob was never part of Weapon X. Weapon X was revealed by Stryker as Logan to be weapon number 10. But this was not so in the comics until later. Weapon X was the super soldier program consist of sabretooth and Deadpool. There more to it. Much is taken out in the movie. Wolverine would then become known as 'Weapon X' in an alternate universe "The Age of Apocalypse".

As for the extra scenes after the end credits, it really is not pointless. Wolverine's history traces back in Japan. He received his martial arts skill from a Japanese samurai. Maybe they will explore that in the sequel.
