hartbreykid
ManU seems not to find the right combination this season....Or.... Chelsea is just too good and plays more consistent game than anybody else. Still ... I go for ManU... no matter what.. Cheers...... Quote Link to comment
_eRon_
Latest News:Madrid rumoured to agree Podolski feeSpanish media reports have speculated that Real Madrid have agreed a fee for exciting German prospect Lukas Podolski. Quote Link to comment
_eRon_
AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS QUARTERFINALS FIXTURESCAIRO, Jan 31 (SW) - Fixtures for the African Cup of Nations 2006 quarter finals, to be played on February 3rd and 4th in the cities of Cairo, Alexandria and Port Said. *Egypt - Congo DR February 3rd - Cairo International Stadium Egypt opened the tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over neighbors Libya, followed by a scoreless draw versus Morocco. Against Côte d'Ivoire, the hosts won 3-1 to secure the top position in Group A. Congo DR defeated World Cup participants Togo 0-2 in their opening game, but drew 0-0 against Angola. A 2-0 defeat by tournament favorites Cameroon could not keep Congo DR out of the quarter finals. There have been no recent official meetings between these two teams. *Guinea - Senegal February 3rd - Alexandria Border Guard Stadium Guinea are arguably the biggest surprise of this tournament. A 0-2 win over South Africa was followed by a 1-2 victory over Zambia, and reigning champions Tunisia were defeated 0-3 in the final group match. Of all quarter finalists, Senegal were most fortunate to survive the first round with only one win over Zimbabwe, 0-2, while defeats were suffered against Ghana, 1-0, and Nigeria, 2-1. There have been no recent official meetings between these two teams. *Cameroon - Côte d'Ivoire February 4th - Cairo Military Stadium Cameroon have been one of the most convincing sides at this African Cup of Nations. The match against Angola was won 3-1, after which Togo were defeated 2-0. A 2-0 win over Congo DR in the final match was enough for the group victory. Côte d'Ivoire were equally impressive in their first two games, a 0-1 victory against Morocco and a 1-2 win over Libya, but the World Cup participants could not compete with Egypt in the third match, and lost 3-1. These two sides shared a World Cup Qualification group in which Cameroon won their home match 2-0, and their away match 2-3. Despite the two defeats, it was Côte d'Ivoire and not Cameroon to secure a World Cup spot. *Nigeria - Tunisia February 4th - Port Said Stadium Nigeria were set to make up for their World Cup absence, with a good performance at this tournament. Uptil now, they are on the right track with a 1-0 win over Ghana, a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe and a 2-1 win over Senegal. Tunisia have their 2004 title to defend, and started with a convincing 4-1 win over Zambia, and a 2-0 victory over South Africa. The reigning champions were however defeated by Guinea in their final group match. These two sides faced each other in the semi finals of the 2004 African Cup of Nations, where Tunisia would eventually win 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Quote Link to comment

dj_flip03
Shame on Souness. This is a result of the ineffectivity of his purchases. Dapat si Shearer na lang ang maging manager nila eh. Who else plays football here? I play FUTSAL every Wed and Sun at Club650(Libis) and then FOOTBALL on every Tue at Corinthian Gardens. If there's anyone interested in playing just holler at me. teio
blackburn's david bentley scored a hat-trick in their 4-3 win against manchester united... it was only a day after he signed his permanent transfer from arsenal... i got the chance to see vidic play in the aforementioned game... he is too far to be compared to someone like jaap stam... i was surprised to see rio ferdinand playing the central defensive midfield role... still, i don't like manchester united for one reason - egotistical players... cristiano ronaldo is a flopper... and in the blackburn game... he just did one... he obviously missed a kick and to save him from shame... he just flopped as if he was hit at the back by poor robbie savage... and he thinks he is that great of a player... when great players do not throw foul gestures towards fans... then there is wayne rooney... ferdinand... alan smith... so on... save paul scholes... ryan giggs... and ruud van nistelrooy...
