It took me two years of bargaining, denial, negotiating and fighting for a relationship that I thought would work, but has been making me unhappy. I am very much better now. It's not exactly about dating others, but more of the high of getting out of limbo. It was the easiest break-up ever, no tears, no drama. I was over before it's over. Probably because I got tired of making it work. I've shed enough tears in those years that left me dry of emotions. It is a wonder that I am not even missing being with someone, perhaps it was that bad. A trauma you shouldn't miss. It was like resigning from a job that have been burning you out, but you wanted because it was promising, so you stayed; but upon getting out of it, you realize there are better things worth your time, effort and commitment. But it passes rather quickly, then you feel free since nothing seems to hold you back; until such time you see your friends all in relationships then that's the time you feel the pangs of coldness wrap through your being. When you wished someone was there to hold you, and make you feel secured. how I wish to be in a relationship again, to be able to take care of someone, and know that someone will be there when I get home tired from the daily grind. Just have to get on with life and hope to meet a girl who can be all that and more. Quote Link to comment
