WWE Wrestling/Usapang Wrestling

D-Lo Brown has worked a few events for TNA as a backstage agent. However, there's still been no confirmed word that he has signed with the company.

There are talks of moving Kelly Kelly over to the Raw brand. Management wants to try testing her out to see if she can become the top babyface diva.

WWE is still working on signing Bret Hart for an appearance on Monday Night Raw this week. Bret Hart doesn't apppear to be backing down from his stance.

Paul Bearer has declined WWE’s invitation for him to appear on the upcoming special episode of Monday Night Raw.

Paul Bearer declined the invitation because of his schedule.

Since leaving the wrestling business, he has gone back to the funeral business. He also spends time managing his son, who wrestles on the independent wrestling circuit. His son, DJ Pringle, is 6′4″, 275. That tremendous size (and his father’s connections)might get him into WWE some day.

WWE plans on releasing a brand new Triple H DVD on March 25, 2008.

Right now, they’re in the production stage of the DVD. They’re hoping to release it in time for Wrestlemania 24. Expect WWE to heavily promote this DVD along with Wrestlemania.

Booker T and Rob Van Dam are scheduled to face one another in a match.

The two will headline a PWA show called Christmas Chaos 2. The event will be held down in Pasadena, Texas on December 28, 2007. For those of you that don’t know, the PWA is owned by Booker T.

That’s a nice little treat for wrestling fans down in the Houston, Texas area. These two guys are close friends, and they should be able to produce a pretty good match. With Booker T now in TNA, there’s also a chance that you can see other TNA wrestlers there at the event as well.

Several US wrestling stars are booked for the big Euphoria tour in Puerto Rico in a few weeks.

Carlito, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Konnan, Ron Killings, and Chris Masters are among the biggest names being booked for the tour (with the biggest event being on January 6, 2008 in San Juan).

They should really do an invasion type of gimmick on this tour where Kevin Nash, Scott Hall (if he shows up, of course), Konnan, and Ron Killings (who recently quit TNA) are the outsiders. Carlito can play the role of babyface in fighting off those guys. Since Chris Masters has a history with Carlito, he can be used as Carlito’s mystery backup.

TNA Signs Sting For 2008

Wrestling legend Sting has come to an agreement with TNA on a new contract will have him wrestling for another year.

One More Year

Right now, all we know is that Sting has signed on to wrestle for TNA through 2008. Terms of the contract have not been fully disclosed just yet. However, it is believed that Sting still has one of the sweetest contracts in all of wrestling.

In 2007, Sting made several hundreds of thousands of dollars. In fact, he made more than what most WWE wrestlers were making last year. However, the big difference was that Sting only worked 3-5 times a month.

With that in mind, Sting is probably making a little bit less in 2008 than he did in 2007. It's being said that he'll be working a schedule that's even more reduced in 2008. Sting might not even be on TV every week.

That arrangement might be the best thing for both sides involved.

At this point in his career, Sting should be used more as a special attraction. He should be the wrestling legend that shows up here and there for special matches on pay per view. Sting should also be utilized to bring up the younger wrestlers. That's something that he's always been willing and eager to do.

Putting Sting into programs with Robert Roode, James Storm, Christopher Daniels (again), and Chris Harris should help elevate those guys. TNA's midcard scene is filled with talented wrestlers.

Christopher Daniels Revisited

TNA made a huge mistake in 2007 by ending the feud between Christopher Daniels and Sting way too early.

The buildup to their match was one of the better ones in recent history. It was long and drawn out. The storyline was well written. Christopher Daniels did a tremendous job on the microphone to sell the story. It actually allowed the audience to see a different side of him.

Then, all of that was flushed down the toilet when management decided to end the feud after just one match (a lopsided victory for Sting, by the way). Christoper Daniels' momentum was killed a bit when TNA decided to put the Triple X stable back together again. Rather than continuing to move up the singles ladder, Christopher Daniels was put back into a tag team with Senshi and the returning Elix Skipper.

Now that Senshi has left TNA again, management has to make a big decision on what to do with Christopher Daniels. They can continue having him team up with Elix Skipper. Those two can produce great tag team matches. However, that would seem to be a bit of a waste of talent.

Christopher Daniels needs to be kept as a singles wrestler. He can be utilized in both the X division and the midcard division. In order to bring his credibility as a singles wrestler back up again, TNA has to put him back into a feud with Sting and allow them time to work out a great program.

Closing Thoughts

Good to see that Sting and TNA have come to an agreement. Hopefully, he can have a great farewell tour.

It's no surprise Undertaker is one of the greatest ...pero bakit sa Raw....di ba mas kilala sya sa Smackdown.

Before SmackDown started, Raw was the main show of the WWE. That's where the entire roster of strutted their stuff.

And when the 2 brands were created, he was initially drafted to Raw before joining Smackdown in 2003

WWE Rigs Best Match and Hottest Diva Polls

Reported by Daniel Pena on 12/09/2007

With Raw's 15th Anniversary 3-hour show airing this Monday, WWE's official website asked fans to vote for their favorite moments, Divas and Superstars, among others, in Raw history. They announced the results of the polls earlier today, but at least two of the polls appear to be rigged.

WWE.com stated that the John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels nearly hour-long match in the U.K. last April was voted as the greatest match in the history of Raw. Here is what they wrote regarding Raw's greatest match:

"Raw has had thousands of matches, but tops on your list, with 24.2 percent of the vote, was John Cena and Shawn Michaels' nearly hour-long epic classic in the U.K. on the April 23, 2007 edition of Raw. Coming in second, at 19.6 percent, was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's battle with Kane for the WWE Title in 1998, followed by Jeff Hardy and Undertaker's 2002 Ladder Match at 17.61 percent."

According to the real poll results on WWE.com, the Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit steel cage match that took place on June 11, 2001 was voted as the greatest match in Raw history with 32.33 percent of the vote. The Cena vs. HBK match didn't even finish in second place as that distinction goes to the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Kane WWE Title match that took place the night after King of the Ring '98, which took home 26.09 percent of the vote. Cena vs. HBK actually finished in third place with 11.34 percent of the vote. Additionally, the Jeff Hardy and Undertaker Ladder Match in the summer of 2002 only garnered 6.89 percent of the vote, not 17.61 percent, not to mention that it finished in fourth place, not in third place.

The 'Greatest Match' poll wasn't the only poll rigged on WWE.com as the results for Raw's 'Hottest Diva' were rigged as well. Here is what they wrote regarding 'Hottest Diva':

"For our fans, it was "100% Stratusfaction" when deciding Raw's Hottest Diva. Seven-time Women's Champion Trish Stratus took top honors in the voting with 20.8 percent of the vote.

The four-time Women's Champion Lita came in second with 14.6 percent, and Candice Michelle finished third with 11.8 percent. There's really no loser in this category, however. All the Divas are smokin'! We all win."

According to the real poll results on WWE.com, Lita was the legitimate winner of the poll, not Trish Stratus. Trish didn't even finish in second place in the poll as that distinction goes to Mickie James. According to the real poll results, Lita came in first place by a mile with 34.77 percent of the vote. Mickie James, who is not even mentioned in WWE's blurb, finished in second with 21.79 percent. Trish actually finished in third place with 12.18 percent of the vote, but was deemed the winner of the poll by the WWE overlords anyway. Candice Michelle actually had a low vote tally with a 4.26 percent vote total. Mickie James garnered over five times the amount of votes of Candice, but is not even mentioned in the blurb on WWE.com. Melina and Torrie Wilson also finished ahead of Candice.

As far as the other poll results are concerned, they appear to be legitimate as the results listed on WWE.com match up with the actual poll results.

Edge vs Theodore Long

Edge has already established himself as the top heel in the entire WWE. His new storyline with Vickie Guerrero and Theodore Long can take him even higher.

Power Struggle

The storyline is pretty basic. Edge has seduced Smackdown's interim general manager Vickie Guerrero and has convinced her to keep Theodore Long away from his position of power. There's also the side story of Edge luring Vickie Guerrero into a romantic relationship only because she has something he wants.

It's a really basic storyline, but it's effective.

It's also a storyline that plays perfectly to Edge's character. His character has proven to be the type that will do anything to win the World Heavyweight Championship. He's an opportunist.

Edge's move to Smackdown earlier this year was the perfect vehicle for portraying just how far his character would go for the title. First, he lures Mr Kennedy over to Monday Night Raw for a match with the Money in the Bank title shot on the line. Within days, he sneaks over to Smackdown and wins the World Heavyweight Championship after the Undertaker wrestled a hard fought battle with Batista.

In real life, both Mr Kennedy and the Undertaker were injured, so the writers decided to use that as an opportunity to elevate Edge even more.

Unfortunately, the injury bug (known as the Smackdown Curse) also bit Edge, and he was forced to miss a few months of action.

Jump on Board

With this storyline, Edge has the opportunity to seperate himself even further from the rest of the heels in the company. He's on the fast track to super stardom, and management needs to capitalize on that and use him to bring others up with him.

Vickie Guerrero's character is going to have to take a hit in order for Edge to be elevated. The only way to go with this storyline is to have him reveal himself as someone who just used Vickie Guerrero to get what he wants. Afterwards, she can take a few weeks off to recharge and allow the writers to come up with something else for her character.

Of course, there's another Guerrero on the roster that can benefit from this storyline. That Guerrero is Chavo Guerrero.

While everyone expects Chavo Guerrero to come to his late uncle's defense, the opposite should be done. With so many fans actually disturbed by the fact that Vickie Guerrero is involved in a storylie like this, having Chavo Guerrero swerve the fans by aligning himself as Edge's sidekick would be a stroke of genius. Chavo Guerrero's got great mic skills, and he can easily generate more heel heat than he's ever had before.

Add some young lackeys like Kenny Dykstra and the Major Brothers and Smackdown has itself a heel force so powerful that all of the babyfaces can benefit by opposing them. The writers can even use one of the divas in the company as Edge's new love interest (the role that was originally scripted for Kristal Marshall).

Closing Thoughts

Edge has taken over Smackdown once again. It's time for the brand to ride his coattail to greatness.

Miz & Morrison Misused

WWE had a potentially great storyline brewing between John Morrison and the Miz, but they dropped the ball on it and now both wrestlers suffer for it.

Odd Couple

Matt Hardy and MVP were the reigning odd couple tag team in WWE. They were a pretty successful duo as their storyline easily carried the Smackdown brand while Edge was out with an injury. Their reign as WWE Tag Team Champions helped to bring attention back to a division that had become an afterthought.

Then along came the talent exchange program between Smackdown and ECW. With it came new WWE Tag Team Champions in Miz and John Morrison. Since the two had been bickering prior to becoming the champions, wrestling fans were excited about the prospect of having the odd couple tag team storyline continue on ECW.

The chemistry between John Morrison and the Miz was there when they were both gunning for CM Punk's ECW Heavyweight Championship. Fans vividly remember the Miz slapping John Morrison in a backstage segment. The friction between their characters was what helped bring some freshness to ECW's main event scene.

Fans expected to see Miz and John Morrison continue working as a tag team despite their differences. Fans expected to see some bickering between them as they continued to successfully defend the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Instead, we get another generic tag team.

Split Them Up

The Miz and John Morrison were establishing themselves as strong personalities in ECW. Now that they're together, wrestling fans are seeing less of their individual personalities.

Prior to them becoming a tag team, they were both top contenders to the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Now, they're the WWE Tag Team Champions, and they have no strong feud to work with. It appears that they're involved in a feud with Jesse & Festus, but the program is receiving very little interest from the audience.

Then again, it's difficult to blame the writers when Smackdown and ECW doesn't necessarily have a babyface tag team that can help generate interest. It'd be a different story if Miz and John Morrison were feuding with Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Maybe the fans would pay attention then. That or the writers can start building up Tommy Dreamer and Balls Mahoney as a tag team. Those two guys can generate more of an interest from the audience than Jesse & Festus can right now.

If this is how WWE plans on using the two, then it's probably better to split them up and allow them to go their separate ways. Put them back into the singles division and have them both chasing CM Punk again.

We understand that Mark Henry and Big Daddy V are currently occupying those spots, but those two guys really belong on Smackdown instead. Of course, while those two are providing CM Punk with fresh challengers, it wouldn't hurt for the writers to put Miz and John Morrison into a midcard feud. WWE generally doesn't do feuds between two heels, but it can be done since it's a midcard feud.

Closing Thoughts

This wasn't exactly what wrestling fans were hoping for when these two guys were put together. It's not working, so it's time to split them up.

Dave Kapoor (the Great Khali’s translator) got into some trouble after the 15th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw.

After the show went off the air, Stephanie McMahon called Dave Kapoor (who is also a WWE writer) over and yelled at him. She said that he was quite unprofessional. She also threatened to fire him as well.

Apparently, Stephanie McMahon felt that Dave Kapoor was having too much fun during the final celebration where all of the wrestlers broke character and had some fun in the ring. It’s a bit weird for Dave Kapoor to be singled out considering how everyone else was having fun as well. In fact, Randy Orton and Umaga were in the ring convincing some of the strippers (the girls that came with the Godfather) to take off their clothes

Steve Austin recently answered questions about a comeback in a newspaper interview.

“I’m pretty much done with wrestling. I had a blast, and it was the best job I had in my entire life. When you had my type of style, which was very aggressive, you’re going to have wear-and-tear, but I feel really good. If I really wanted to and needed to I can probably get two more hard years in the ring, but at this point it’s not worth it. After 10 years, when I’m in my 50s, I want to feel this good. So it’s time to hang it up.”

This interviews answers a lot of questions.

Physically, Steve Austin can still wrestle. That means that if he ever changed his mind about having a match against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania, it’s possible. Of course, convincing Steve Austin to do it is a different story. Hulk Hogan has already stated that he’s willing to do the match.

Another thing to look at is the fact that Steve Austin’s movie career hasn’t been going as great as everyone expected it to. After successful stints on television shows and movies, everyone felt that Steve Austin had what it takes to be a success in Hollywood. Thus far, that success has yet to come. If acting doesn’t work out for him, then there’ s a slight chance that he might be enticed to return to the ring.

That’s a long shot, though. Steve Austin has always been a person that has been smart with his money. During his peak years in WWE, he made millions of dollar. He might even have enough money to stay retired. Plus, you can’t really bet against Steve Austin becoming a Hollywood star still.

WWE has signed Ric Flair’s youngest son, Reid Flair (real name: Reid Fliehr), to a developmental contract.

He is expected to start training down in Florida Championship Wrestling in January. Reid Flair is no stranger to being on TV as he has been used by WCW before in storylines involving his father.

Remember when Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair had that big dispute that led to Ric Flair being kept off of TV? Well, the dispute was over Ric Flair taking time off to go watch Reid Flair in an amateur wrestling tournament.

It’s also interesting to note that he’s being sent to Florida Championship Wrestling instead of OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). WWE has been focusing more on the Florida territory than the Ohio territory as of late.

Batista took a verbal shot at the Great Khali in an interview.

When asked about the Great Khali, Batista commented that he was disgusted when WWE made the decision to put the title around the big man.

“I didn’t think he deserved the world championship. I don’t want to say it made me sick to my stomach to see the title in his hands, but it really did make me sick to my stomach.”

When Edge and the Undertaker both went down to injuries, management had to find someone to carry the World Heavyweight Championship for a few months. Rather than choosing Batista or Kane, management went with the Great Khali as champion.

Batista has never been one to shy away from controversial comments in the past. He’s very outspoken, which means that he’s one of the more entertaining wrestlers to listen to.

Ratings skyrocketed for the 15th anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw.

WWE received a 4.1 rating this week for the three hour special. That equates to roughly 5.8 million viewers. For the past few weeks, Monday Night Raw has been in the 3s.

This is a great sign for WWE as they spent quite a bit of effort in promoting the special edition of the show. Aside from the constant commercials on TV, WWE also spent money on advertising on websites. With the success of the show, there’s now a chance that WWE will start promoting their pay per views in this manner as well.

Batista mentioned his relationship with Melina in a recent interview.

When asked about Melina, Batista had the following to say:

“It started out completely innocently, but I just fell in love with her. It’s been on and off for a long time and I still love her death. But I can’t see us getting married. I still don’t think I’m over my ex-wife.”

Ever since his book was released, Batista has been quite open about his relationship with Melina. It’s interesting that he would choose to do that since John Morrison recently mentioned in an interview that he’s been going out with Melina since their OVW days.

Things must be pretty interesting backstage during the Smackdown/ECW shows.

Stephanie McMahon has shown signs backstage of being supportive of Chris Jericho and his return.

That's quite a contrast from her husband, Triple H. There are reports that Triple H has ridiculed Chris Jericho's return, citing that Chris Jericho is not worthy of the hype that he's receiving. It's also believed that Triple H has been pushing for other wrestlers to be elevated ahead of Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho has received a bit of criticism because his return has been a bit lackluster. Of course, all fo the blame shouldn't be placed on Chris Jericho because he's still solid on the mic and can work a match just fine.

Carlito has agreed to drop his notice and remain with WWE.

Carlito gave his notice to WWE a few weeks back after he had reached a boiling point in regards to how his character was being utilized by management. Carlito has seen his push come and go in WWE. On several occasion, his character seemed destined for a big push only be dropped inexplicably.

There are those that believe that WWE was unwilling to allow Carlito to leave the company because they were afraid of losing another wrestler to TNA so soon after Booker T deflected.

There’s been some word going around that Carlito reached a new contract agreement with WWE, but that does not appear to be the case. The agreement made had more to do with character development and pushes than financial stuff.
