Sayang din yang show, kasi on paper ok mga wrestlers nila- lalo na if you compare it with that s@%t ECW. Nasa roster nila at that time mga ROH and indy wrestlers like Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal, Human Tornado, Ricky Banderas (aka Judas Mesias of TNA), Colt Cabana (WWE Developmental talent), and of course, a wrestler that I hope would get major exposure soon, high flying Puma- a.k.a. T.J. "The Pinoy Boy" Perkins. MTV tinigil ang airing kasi natakot sila may isang match kasi parang natapunan ng fireball mukha ni Vampiro baka gayahin daw ng mga tangang viewers nila.

i started watching wrestling way back 1983 or 1984 when Hulk Hogan defeated The Iron Sheik for the WWF (now WWE) world heavyweight champioship & since then tuloy tuloy na ang pagka addict ko sa panonood from local chanenel 13 to channel 5 & now cable TV jack TV. I even watched them live last yr sa Araneta. Raw superstars r there.

B4 may competition pa ang WWE. WCW folded & bought by the Mac Mahon & some wrestlers lime Benoit, Booker T transferred from WCW to WWE. Vince Mac Mahon the multi billionaire owner of WWE considered the sole king of professional wrestling although there is still the TNA wer some disgruntled former WWE Superstars such as Kurt Angle, Christina, Dudley Boys, Rhyno are in the TNA's rosters. still WWE lords it over in this kind of sports entertainment. As long as Undertaker, Batista, Jogn Cena, HBK are wrestling, i guess WWE will reigh supreme in the wrestling world.

Matt Hardy Injured

 

At the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday night, Matt Hardy suffered a pretty severe cut that required 35 stitches to close.

 

During the tapings, Matt Hardy teamed up with MVP to face Rey Mysterio and Finlay.

 

The match was pretty routine until Matt Hardy went for a splash on Rey Mysterio. His head was severely cut (the gash was 7 inches) when it struck Rey Mysterio's knee brace. The injury caused Matt Hardy to bleed so profusely that the Great Muta would have squirmed in his seat.

 

The ring crew had to change the mat so Smackdown could continue.

 

The early word on Matt Hardy is that his status is uncertain for the Cyber Sunday pay per view this upcoming Sunday.

 

Matt Hardy is scheduled for a match with long time rival MVP where the fans get to vote for the match type. The two would have wrestled in either a regular wrestling match, a boxing match, or an MMA (mixed martial arts) match.

 

The build up between these two have been quite superb the last few months.

 

 

 

Degeneration X

 

WWE has sent out advertisements that show Shawn Michaels and Triple H teaming up on an upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw. Interesting.

 

 

Snitsky Suspension

 

Reports have now surfaced that Snitsky was indeed one of the many WWE wrestlers serving a 30 day suspension.

 

There has been a lot speculations in the last few weeks as to the whereabouts of Snitsky (real name Eugene Snitsky). Well, reports have now confirmed that Snitsky had indeed been suspended for 30 days along with several other WWE wrestlers.

 

We've discovered that the reason why people were unsure of Snitsky's status was because he was suspended despite not being one of the names listed in the federal investigation. He wasn't suspended for buying drugs from Signature Pharmacy.

 

Snitsky was suspended for failing a drug test recently.

 

It has been confirmed that Snitsky was one of the many wrestlers who were flown into WWE's headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut last month.

 

With the media and the government heavily breathing down his neck, Vince McMahon had no choice but to punish his wrestlers with suspensions.

 

A couple of wrestlers received 60 day suspensions (King Booker is rumored to be one that received the longer suspension). Everyone else received a 30 day suspension.

 

Since this was Snitsky's first violation of the WWE Wellness Program, he was suspended for 30 days.

 

Along with most of the other suspended wrestlers, Snitsky is eligible to return to Monday Night Raw tonight. It's hard to predict whether or not the WWE will utilize him tonight, though.

 

WWE management attempted to build up Snitsky as a monster heel on the ECW brand. After four months of hype and a favorable win-loss record, management inexplicably felt that Snitsky was ready to be returned to Raw as a main event heel. Despite receiving no reactions whatsoever from the audience, there were rumors of elevating Snitsky into a main event program with WWE Heavyweight Champion John Cena.

 

During the WWE 2007 Draft, Snitsky was sent over from ECW to Raw. Management then proceeded to have him beat the likes of Super Crazy, Val Venis, Tony Jones, and both members of the Highlanders.

 

Apparently beating low level wrestlers was enough to get Snitsky booked into main event match on Raw against John Cena. Snitsky suffered his first match since returning to Monday Night Raw, but it was a disqualification loss due to interference from Randy Orton.

 

Just like the other suspended wrestlers, Snitsky isn't likely to be punished in terms of pushes. He'll probably be brougt back into the exact same spot he was when he left, which means that he'll probably be facing and beating various low level wrestlers. Snitsky will mainly be used on Heat, but he'll also get the occasional matches on Monday Night Raw. Management should seriously consider putting Snitsky into a feud with Jeff Hardy for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

 

The majority of wrestling fans probably weren't even aware that Snitsky was gone

 

 

 

 

Jamie Noble's New Gimmick

 

Jamie Noble's new gimmick of being a loser is actually making him a winner with the Smackdown fans.

 

Jamie Noble started gaining the attention of wrestling fans after e started feuding with Hornswoggle over the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. It was a feud that transformed him from generic WWE crusierweight to recognizable character.

 

At the Great American Bash, WWE surprised everyone by having Hornswoggle winning the title during a Cruiserweight Open. His first challenger was Jamie Noble.

 

In his first WWE Cruiserweight Championship defense, Hornswoggle successfully defeated Jamie Noble on an episode of Smackdown. Finlay's little sidekick started taunting Jamie Noble in the weeks after. After Jamie Noble earned himself a title shot, but was unable to make it to the ring in time because he ended up trapped in his own scheme backstage.

 

Hornswoggle was then chosen to participate in the McMahon Illegitimate Son storyline. That left Jamie Noble without a feud.

 

In a brilliant move, the writers had Jamie Noble complaining to Vickie Guerrero, which caused him to be booked against the Great Khali. Jamie Noble had no chance. The week after, Jamie Noble was booked against the Undertaker. once again, he had no chance.

 

With that, Jamie Noble has found his new calling card. He now has a new role on Smackdown as the "lovable loser".

 

In order to keep the gimmick going, Jamie Noble is going to have to be booked against dominating opponents for the next few weeks. Each week, the writers are going to have to make it look like Jamie Noble has no shot at gaining a victory.

 

There's plety of people to throw at Jamie Noble right now, especially with ECW wrestlers being utilized on Smackdown. Kane, Mark Henry, Big Daddy V, and Batista are possible opponents for Jamie Noble in the upcoming weeks. Management can even stretch out Jamie Noble's losing streak for two or three months if they really wanted to.

 

After a while, the fans will start to root for him to get a victory. If done properly, Jamie Noble could end up becoming a face due to the demands of the audience. Throw a character like him into the upcoming Royal Rumble, and there would be more than a few people who are rooting for him despite knowing that he has absolutely no chance at winning the big event.

 

Also, if the writing is good enough, then Jamie Noble could work himself into a position where management would feel comfortable elevating him into contention for the WWE United States Heavyweight Championship. Jamie Noble is more than capable of putting on great matches with the likes of Rey Mysterio, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, and MVP.

 

If that were to happen, then the writing staff can pat themselves on the back for a job well done. It's very rare for a character to connect so much with an audience that management has no choice but to push him. The last good example of this was when Batista turned on Triple H and Ric Flair and left Evolution.

 

 

 

Kristal Marshall Released

Smackdown diva Kristal Marshall has been mysteriously released from WWE despite the fact that she's dating a main event wrestler and is involved in a huge storyline herself.

 

 

 

 

Bobby Lashley T-Shirt Released

 

Kristal Marshall has been released from the company. Her profile was quickly removed from the official WWE website.

 

That part isn't a mystery. What is a mystery is the story behind her release.

 

Many are shocked that she was released because of her status with the company. Kristal Marshall was involved in a high profile wedding storyline with Smackdown general manager Theodore Long.

 

WWE made quite a bit deal out of the storyline as it was built up for several weeks. Plus, wrestlers from Raw were flown in to participate with the ECW and Smackdown wrestlers for the segment.

 

Another reason why people are surprised that Kristal Marshall was released is the fact that she's currently dating Bobby Lashley, who is destined to be remain in the main event scene on Monday Night Raw.

 

Prior to her release, there were even talks about moving her over to the Raw brand so that the couple could travel together. That says a lot about how much stroke Bobby Lashley has backstage because management generally frowns upon relationships between the performers. Usually, performers who are dating one another are kept apart (CM Punk and Maria, Kenny Dykstra and Mickie James; both relationships are over now).

 

 

Wedding Plans

 

The original plan was to have Theodore Long stay away from television for a few weeks to help sell the injuries he suffered during the wedding segment.

 

During that time, Vickie Guerrero was promoted to the role of Smackdown general manager. It is believed that she would gradually become a heel once again. After she's established herself as a heel general manager, Theodore Long was supposed to make his return to confront her.

 

That part of the plan looks like it'll still happen.

 

However, the big changes are going to be the wedding aspect of the storyline. The writers will definitely be forced to explain the events that occurred at the wedding. They're also going to be required to explain Kristal Marshall's disappearance. In the past, WWE has continued storylines without explanations. Hopefully, they don't do that here because of all the time spent on building up the storyline. They can do something as simple as to say that her character was fired for poisoning Theodore Long. It wouldn't be the most creative way of doing things, but it does provide a little bit of closure.

 

 

 

Brock Lesnar Signs With UFC

After months of rumors, former WWE champion Brock Lesnar has signed a contract with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

For professional wrestling fans, the big news coming out of the UFC 77 pay per view was the announcement involving Brock Lesnar. At the US Bank Arena, UFC President Dana White revealed that he had signed the former WWE champion to a promotional contract.

 

The announcement comes after months of rumors and speculations. The rumors heated up after Brock Lesnar successfully defeated Min Soo Kim in a little over a minute during his debut MMA match back in June.

 

"If you want to go with the NFL of the fighting game, it’s the UFC, and it was an easy choice for me," says Brock Lesnar.

 

Wrestling fans can't help but chuckle a bit to hear Brock Lesnar referencing the NFL in that manner because he was unable to fulfill that dream.

 

Dana White added, "I don’t think there are any other pro wrestlers that can make the transition to MMA, except for Brock Lesnar. And if you look at his amateur wrestling credentials, his size, and what he’s done, this guy can end up being a force in the heavyweight division of the UFC."

 

A lot of wrestling fans are wondering if that was an intentional verbal jab at Kurt Angle or not. A few weeks ago, there were heavy rumors about Kurt Angle wanting to make his MMA debut.

 

 

What About TNA?

 

A lot of wrestling fans have dismissed the possibility of Brock Lesnar still working out a deal with TNA because of his new deal with UFC. Then again, those are the same fans who probably were hoping that a deal between TNA and Brock Lesnar wasn't going to get done in the first place.

 

Earlier this year, Brock Lesnar made some headlines by going into discussions with TNA President Dixie Carter about a possible debut. The meeting was set up after Brock Lesnar worked a match in Japan against TNA's Kurt Angle. The two remained friendly from their time together in WWE.

 

During the meeting, Brock Lesnar and Dixie Carter discussed several things, including Brock Lesnar's desire to keep his schedule flexible while he pursues a career in MMA. Dixie Carter even stated that she was very willing to work with his schedule to allow him to pursue that dream.

 

TNA knows full well the name value that Brock Lesnar still has. They know that bringing him in part time would be better than not bringing him in at all. Plus, TNA has established themselves as the place for wrestlers to go work if they have outside interests. Kurt Angle himself has looked into pursuing a career in MMA. Christian Cage has pursued opportunities in Hollywood. With TNA wrestlers working approximately 5 days a month (unless they have outside bookings), a secondary career is quite possible for these guys.

 

With TNA very much looking to bring in more wrestlers who are recognizable by the casual wrestling fans, a possible deal with Brock Lesnar isn't completely out of the question.
