rsc1221
King Booker Returning, Marcus Cor Von's Release, Kristal's WeddingSubmitted by Daniel Pena on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 9:56 PM EST source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter -- The belief is that King Booker (and Queen Sharmell) will return to WWE after his 60 day suspension is up. The two sides are trying to work out their issues. He isn't taking any offers for outside bookings. -- Marcus Cor Von was released last Wednesday. He had been on a leave of absence since June. He had to stay at home to care for the children of two of his sisters. One of them recently passed away and the other one couldn't take care of both sets of kids. WWE continued to pay him his downside guarantee, but since he wasn't coming back anytime soon, WWE decided to release him from his contract. -- According to fan reports, the crowd chanted "We Want Wrestling" during Kristal & Theodore Long's wedding at last week's SmackDown taping. Those chants were obviously edited out of the broadcast. Also, there was a long delay live because the young boy they picked to be the ring bearer didn't come out on time. Quote Link to comment

The injury is so severe that they're not allowing him to compete in his scheduled championship match with Randy Orton next Sunday at No Mercy. He will have no choice but to forfeit the title. Here is WWE's official statement regarding the matter: Cena out with pec tear, must surrender WWE Championship Written: October 2, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – WWE Champion John Cena has suffered a complete tear of his right pectoral tendon and is heading into surgery, according to noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. gwapogi
hate me on this, but at least, cena was the last big name to fall, injuries or suspension wise... - no, great khali doesn't count... nobody loved the guy... his gimmick consumed him... i still remember john cena during his "technical days" as prototype from ovw... dude then could've given kurt angle a good competition skill wise... ... an untimely setback during one of wrestling's darker moments... ...who do the haters hate now ??? howard_the_duck
haters will hate hornswoggle Quote Link to comment
pogito
In attempt to get more buys for pay-per-view events it looks like WWE will hold Edge’s return for the Survivor Series pay-per-view next month. Survivor Series will take place on November 18, 2007 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Edge will join Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Undertaker, and reportedly Chris Jericho (if he returns Sunday at No Mercy) as WWE stars that have returned on pay-per-view rather than on free television. resident_big_evil
i really don't get all this animosity towards john cena as champ... there were many wrestlers who were even less talented than cena but were still given a big push... Quote Link to comment
