I remeber that Reebok card of AI, I was able to pull out the ruby parallel once and the regular card twice. Almost everybody don't like that card before even the AI collectors. But now, it's not easy to find that card, rare na nga yan. :thumbsupsmiley: Yung Radiance parallel mo ang galing 001 of 100.

As you know, the centerpiece of my collection are my Duncan cards.. Kaya ito ang naka-display.. Lahat ng naka-display ko nakalagay sa either screw downs, magnetic holders, mini snaps and top loaders.. Depende sa card.. But yung iba kong Duncan cards nakalagay sa ULTRA PRO na binder.. 9 pocket.. I currently have 7 binders na puros TD..

 

May display din ako ng kaunti na Tony Parker, David Robinson, and Manu Ginobili.. (Spurs Collection) but not as extensive as my TD stuff.. Some memorabilias and autographs of Spurs players (even ex-Spurs - basta nakasama nina TD) like Robert Horry, etc. are also on display..

 

Tapos may display din ako ng kaunting Yao, Shaq, Kobe, Jordan, TMac, AI, KG and Vince Carter.. Kumbaga itong mga players na ito merong parang shrine na maliit sa office ko.. Siguro tig 5-6 cards na medyo rare per player..

 

My autograph collection is placed on a 4 pocket ULTRA PRO case/binder.. My RC collection is placed on a 9 pocket ULTRA PRO na nakalagay sa binder na binili lang sa mga bookstores.. At magkakasama sila per rookie year.. Ito medyo ang madami sa collection ko..

 

Yung mga AI na inserts.. kasama sa binder ko na tinatawag kong player collections.. Mga rare commons and inserts ito that I acquired mostly sa pagbubukas ko ng packs/boxes before.. 9 pocket din sila na ULTRA PRO na nakalagay sa binder na binili sa NBS.. hehe!!!

 

Yung ibang RCs or inserts or memorabilias na hindi na mailagay sa 9 pocket ay nakalagay sa mga kahon at naka-ultra pro na penny sleeves.. at naka-stack.. Nakaayos din ang mga ito and I usually check on them from time to time..

 

Ang problema lang sa ULTRA PRO ay hindi talaga acid free.. Minsan dapat kapag nakabinder ang cards mo medyo binubuksan mo sila from time to time.. Kahit twice every six months just to let them breathe.. Para maiwasan ang moist..

 

Yung mga rare ones mo ilagay mo sa top loaders.. like yung would be autographics ni GH33 na magkakaroon ka.. :cool:

In the hobby perspective.. I do think that AI fans would stay loyal to him.. But right now, medyo ang tingin sa kanya ng mga fans ay "ungrateful.." and this does not speak mightily for newer fans for the hobby as well.. So demand for his cards would not be as high as before.. But, if he brings a team to the promised land.. His cards will surely skyrocket.. coz new collectors would be picking up his cards..

 

Prices for his RCs I think would stay the same.. Ewan ko lang yung mga autographs niya.. Na talaga namang ang tataas sa ngayon ng presyo..

Look at the auction items of gelodartist (international).. makikita mo dun yung mga Jordan rare inserts.. Magkano kaya matatapos ang mga yan? Especially the Hot Numbers? Iniisip ko kung kunin eh kung mura siya mag-end..

 

Kung makakakita ka ng A Cut Above dito sa atin.. mataas na sa X30 yung card.. Yun ay kung makakakita ka.. Usually kasi old inserts are not that expensive (except for Jordan) here but they are still rare.. But yknow may kalaban ka sa Grant Hill stuff dito eh.. Meron pa din kasing mga collectors that did not stop in collecting Hill, Penny, etc.. Die-hard kumbaga.. Kaya kung may lalabas man sa courtside na rare Grant Hill inserts baka maunahan ka..

 

BTW, pare, here are some of my Grant Hill cards/inserts --- all of these came from packs, pare.. So, hindi ko pwede ibenta or trade.. may sentimental value sa akin eh.. I don't have much Hill RCs.. anim lang.. at wala akong Finest.. (pati nga si Jason Kidd wala akong Finest eh..).. Yung third lang ang pinaka-okay ko na rookie card.. E-Motion.. Sobrang luma na ang mga yan.. Siguro may 10 years na sa akin ang iba diyan.. Wala pa nga din ako auto niya eh..

oo nga eh... naalala ko yung old times. during the good old days nung mura pa mga packs, and that 97-98 Ultra Pack is one of them. meron pang lumabas sa Ultra dati yung mga 1 of 1 na parallel cards. i remember na yung Kobe card na yun d2 pa napunta sa pinas.

Some noteworthy e-bay wins yesterday:

 

First off, its a Brandon Roy Sweet Shot Autographed RC #d to 250.. A true RC.. And yes I still believe in Brandon Roy.. I still feel that he is the real deal and is the best rookie in this year's draft.. Got it for $47.. I am crossing my fingers as I am typing this down.. hehe!!! Kidding aside, I believe that when he comes back from injury.. he will certainly be the front runner for this year's ROY..

Randy Foye Sweet Shot Autographed Card.. Not a true RC though.. $10.51..

 

He is still not being given enough playing time by the Wolves.. Trade rumors also are circulating that he might be part of a deal that would send AI to Minny.. In a few games that Foye was given enought PT, he has shown that he can be a heady PG (much like Brandon Roy) and can score at the same time.. This kid can definitely play.. If he does go to Philly, then I think a huge chunk of PT would be given to him.. Can't wait for a Carney, and Foye combination for Philly..

Recently won this Cedric Simmons Autographed RC #d to 799 (Upper Deck - Sweet Shot) for just $1.67.. hehehe!!!

 

Cedric Simmons is being used more than 12th pick Hilton Armstrong by the Hornets.. Another steady player that seems to be playing extended minutes.. Surprisingly..
