Motoring For Dummies - All Your Car & Driving Questions Answered H

Its not always good to use rubbing compound cause it strips away clear coat. and it makes your paint thinner. Okey lang siguro paminsan minsan but make sure you put on wax or paint protection. Meguiar has a good product na available sa most auto detailers yung pang paint protection nila. I forgot the name e. parang Diamont paint sealer. I go to detailers every 6 months para protected parati paint.

Ako what i do for minor scratches is buy a wax that has color pigments.

wierd but it happened too on my 95 lancer glxi......it was parked in direct sunlight though when a pebble hit it and the glass shattered into a thousand bits... my guess is the frame of the windshield and glass has too little clearance. so when the frame heats up it puts pressure on the glass. so a little shock or vibation serves as the catalyst on the already stressed glass surface

I agree on the slow in fast out on curves ... I put my gear on NEUTRAL

and ENGAGE to the APPROPRIATE GEAR once i got out of the curve

PUT your GEARS on NEUTRAL when managing a curve daw. It makes the car UNSTABLE ...

Brake before the turn, not during...

Slow in, Fast out...in a turn slow down, enter the turn, and accelerate on exit

Your right and left hands should never pass 12oclock respectively, once past, move hand location to 12 and 6 again.

Never let go of the wheel, even after a turn, guide the wheel back again.

When turning left, push your right hand, do not pull on your left hand and vice versa...

it might seem corny but the driving style in Initial D promotes good driving. put an open cup of water on your dashboard, do not spill the water :P

I once delivered bread from pangasinan to baguio and vice versa. The way you change gears, the way you stop, the way you step on the gas, everything influences the smoothness of your driving. biggest challenge ko talaga at that time were the the long turns of marcos highway.

pinakamahirap talaga imaneuver ang Naguilian road. panay turns kasi!

big difference ang delivering ko noon coz it influenced my driving today. mga officemates ko complain sa ibang officemates because nahihilo sila kapagnakikisakay but sa akin hindi raw nahihilo

Practice driving first sa subdivision niyo. :)

Pointers:

* Never ever tailgate sa PUV's. Mga siraulo yan. Kung saan saan sila humihinto. Sometimes, di pa talaga itatabi ng maayos bago magbaba ng passengers.

* Never overtake on a blind curve.

Look left and right bago lumiko.

* Don't use your high beam at all times. If necessary lang.

"Brakes, steering wheel, gears and the gas pedal... If I'm too rough with any of those, I spill the water."
