Motoring For Dummies - All Your Car & Driving Questions Answered H

when stepping on the brake, make it a habit to look at the REAR view mirror also.

why do u ask? the car behind you might not be stopping, para makaiwas ka or brace yourself.

Yeah defensive driving. Always the best remider for a driver. Though you are not accountable to it when that happen. You still waste your time working on some papers, and its annoying.

if you know how to use a rubbing compound.. go ahead and do it yourself.. ganun din naman ang gagawin sa mga shop.... mapapamahal ka lang... rubbing compound wala pang 100 hindi mo pa mauubos 1/4 nun ....

I have some technical question bro's curious lang. I really wonder what it is?

to make sure the gears or metal parts are properly lubricated and doesnt wear off.. proper maintenance will save you more hassle(and cash) in the long run

Hey guys, i wonder if you can help me out with this.. im not well versed with cars but i need to remove the scratches off my car's door :( .. can you recommend any shop or rubbing compound that removes scratches instantly without having it repainted  and how much do you think will it cost me.... tnx..

Depende sa scrath yan...

Minor scratches can be removed by rubbing compuond....

di ako sanay mag break ng left foot ang bigat kasi tigil talaga as in full stop.

defensive driving lang best way.

Avoid jack-rabbit starts. This is murder on the drivetrain and wastes gas. Better to roll off and then accelerate to desired speed to blend in with the traffic.

Keep at least 3 car-lengths distance between your car and the one in front of you when driving fast and judge your speed in curves. If too fast, brake before entering the curve not while in it and then smoothly accelerate coming out of the curve.

that "three seconds" rule is not a good idea in the province. better make it at least 5 seconds as the tendency of drivers is to take advantage of the space you got in front. singit talaga. In addition, galit na galit ako sa mga Manila drivers (take note.. MANILA DRIVERS) who go to the province and overtake at the right side of the road!!! sa shoulder ang overtake!!! ano ba yan, wala na kayo sa edsa so wag nyo gagawin ang kalokohang yan sa probinsya. people actually walk on the shoulders you know

Jeepney drivers swerve a hard left before they look at the side mirror....

... most of the times they do not look at all..... they are busy counting the change ...

They may/will stop only when they hear a loud HONK .....

Honestly it is hard to multi-task while you drive.... just what PUJ drivers do ...

1. They drive

2. They get fare/count/give back change to the passengers

3. They are also on the look for passengers on the road

4. They are also wary on passengers saying "PARA SA TABI"

Try doing this yourself ..... count several 1 peso and 25 cent coins .....while driving on city streets

or try changing the battery of your MP3 player or cellphone whle driving

always keep in mind that the sidemirrors have a purpose ..... marami kasi ang hindi gumagamit niyan ... they make the turn before looking .. kaya pag hindi nakailag ang driver sa kabila .. aksidente na

two road courtesy tips:

*when the vehicle in front of you is turning left, move a bit to the right so the guy following

you can see the turnsignal of the vehicle in front of you. it gives the vehicle behind you a chance to change lanes.

*when you are stopping at a red light, please don't stop alongside the other car who stopped first. stop your vehicle up to

his side mirror or front fender. its like a gentleman's way of saying "you got here first, so you go ahead"

with cars it's the same thing

sir, do u know a good carburator specialist. my car is a daewoo racer. the engine doesn't stop on its high idling speed even when I'm on a complete stop, it requires a few seconds before it turns to normal idling. also on start it has a very high idling speed. I went to banawe recently and was told to go to kamuning's carburator specialists. just want to know if you can recommend a good shop. and also an estimate to the cost. thanks.
