Go see a doctor ASAP to avoid worsening ur condition. Iced it down. I assume that before you do anything physical e u do some stretching naman. And since medyo matagal na yan im sure there is something wrong. Quote Link to comment
anatoly
sabi nga nung doctor - pag-isipan ko daw muna if I really want it coz it's an expensive procedure. I just wish it happened while I was still employed. Now, that am not. the cost of surgery is really tough a lot of people daw don't go thru surgery but you have to give up sports. maybe it's time to give it up. yung arthritis... maybe it's inevitable. So baka sa Wii na lang ako mag-sports hehehe. I'm playing hurt and not really able to do the things I used to. I just wish I was paid to play then I would really go for surgery. will try the hilot route. i saw that football player you mentioned is going to get some work done on his knees and will be out for 3 months yata.about the part of giving up sports...i can't say i agree with that (well at least not in my case).i've had a number of recurring knee injuries over the past few years. it started as a knee sprain and unfortunately i didn't take the time to let it heal. long story short i ended up tearing my acl, tearing my meniscus (can't remember if it was the lateral or medial) and partially tearing my PCL. but surprisingly enough i was still able to play basketball. the only catch was i could only manage once a week max (at 1-2 hours of intense play) because my knee got really sore. but anyway regarding the surgery, i would advocate such a thing especially if you're still young and if you have the financial means. the hardest part of it (and most impt imo) would probably be the physical therapy. that takes a lot of discipline and dedication so make sure you get yourself a very good therapist. thanos28
As to any sports/musculoskelal injuries during the ACUTE Stage (on site of injury- until 2-3days) do RICE Rest the part injuredIce it-ice massage circular patternCompression-apply elastic bandage to minimize the inflammationElevation don't apply hot compress or any heat modalities as it may worsen the condition. During the CHRONIC STAGE (after 3 days onwards) that's the time you can apply heat This simple protocol is commonly neglected by many. Hope this simple thing can help you guys. As for Mr. Comlicated8 and etc who had knee problem...dont go for hilots..remember that knee injuries are complex. Each knee injuries has different treatment approch so better consult an orthopaedic surgeon first, and if neglected later it may become worse. In rehabilitative approach usually strengthening, flexibility and balance and conditioning training are the mainstay of treatment..EXERCISE. Quote Link to comment
skaven
Quote Link to comment

mrmaharot
i have plantar fasciitis sa left foot dahil sa running. nakakramdam tuloy ako ng sakit sa baba ng heel, sa likod ng heel. sakit din maglakad sa unang steps sa umaga Quote Link to comment
mrmaharot
baka overweight ka or you have poor running form which places unnecessary stress on your fascia. could be caused by a bone spur too. in any case, see a rehab or orthopedic doctor. lay off the running for a while as well as prolonged standing.i have fancied trying the pose method that i saw on youtube,i guess i tried too much. wala rin kasi akong proper guidance from ma professional.im 5'9" at 77kilos po ngayon. mejo tumaas ang weight. may orthopedic doctors ba dito sa may mandaluyong? wala po kasi akong makita ehhehe. ang remedy ko lang po ngayon ay nag-stretch ng fascia before every run and cut my mileage by half. (ung mga stretches na available sa net) di ko din kasi matigil tumakbo dahil ito lang alam kong pagpapapawis. ayaw ko narin mggym dahil mas madami akong nakukuhang calories kesa nababawas. (maraming kinakain bago magbuhat ) heheh Quote Link to comment

I know it may get worse but I'm trying this first before I opt for surgery. Meron daw full time employee na nag-massage ng finger ni Kobe kaya nag-heal ang mga fingers nya. I think this is equivalent to our hilot too. Quote Link to comment

complicated8
Let's just say I'm a believer in hilot Quote Link to comment
complicated8
Not really - my mind. Because if I could have willed it to get better, I would. It's the hilot who was able to do it to multiple people and not just one. Like the hilot said, if the ligaments are broken, there's nothing he/she can do. May not be scientific but it is observable and repeatable. It's not a single occurrence and I do know that some don't work and some do. I don't trust all hilots. I do trust those that were able to heal people I know and from past experience. When the doctor tells you that you'll never walk again or therapy progress is so slow, try the hilot with experience and maybe your progress will be faster. Ankle sprain - out two weeks minimum depending on severity, after 1 or 2 visits to hilot within a week and you can play again the following week. I've observed this multiple times. makantosapooh
i have plantar fasciitis sa left foot dahil sa running. nakakramdam tuloy ako ng sakit sa baba ng heel, sa likod ng heel. sakit din maglakad sa unang steps sa umaga stretch mo yung achille's tendon mo. sa edge ng hagdan or foot stool, tayo ka for 15-30 secs... hayaan mo lang ung bigat mo para ma-stretch yung tendon mo. aapak ka ng maliit na bola, golf ball or tennis sa talampakan mo. ipaiikot mo ung bola sa sole mo.
