Digital Cameras

I have been thinking of buying a Sony Cybershot digicam but when we got to Megamall the sales guy is even offering us a used DSC-F88 passing it off as still brand new  <_<

My budget's limited. I don't want to spend more than 20k on a digicam but of course, I still want one that would perform good  ;)

I ended up buying a Canon Powershot A540  :thumbsupsmiley:

Here's the review:

Ako I have a brand new sony DSC-P200 7.2 megapixel, may libreng 2 memory stick na isang 64 mb at isang 256 mb plus casing. I had it for 20K lang. I had it canvassed here camera pa lang na may 64 mb na memory stick ay 25K na yung memory stick na 256 2,+++ pa at 2,+++ yung casing . . .

My god, I see some of you interested in photography like I am cars.

I've learned so much from the folks at http://www.photocamel.com. You have to go over there and sign up. I was a newbie at digital cameras before a few months ago, and I that site came up on a search I did, and then I went over and now I'm spending too darn much money on cameras, thanks to the folks there that got me interested.

The thing I like most is that you have all these pros posting alongside the amateurs like me, and they don't look down on us! Plus we get to look at great pics like this that they post:

If you intend to make blow-ups up to 8 x 10 & larger, better go with a nikon.  It is money well spent.

Goto this website: http://www.dpreview.com/

They have very good reviews on digital cameras and there is a nice feature there where you can compare the cameras you like, side by side, feature for feature.

BTW, when making large prints (8x10 or larger) its the megapixels of the camera that matters. A 5 megapixel camera can probably handle 8x10 prints but anything larger than that and you have to go get an 8MP or 10MP camera.

If I had money to burn, I'd buy the most expensive Nikon ;)
