Just tried Globes Wireless Braodband for a month, thanks to my brother. Connection was fast and smooth even when im travelling, yun lang nga medyo malaki yun unit.

 

I am now junking my Smart Bro... I should have listend to others (ang tanga ko). Up to now, Smart's Bro service is really bad almost useless.

I haven't change sim's yet but I will after this week. A friend of mines passed me 50 pesos worth of credits. I got the confirmation message that my number recieved the said amount. But when I tried calling. I was prompted that I didn't have any credits left. So I called the "customer service" (I used that term loosely) and told tham my problem. I gave them the trace ID and everyting. And they told me that they can't do anything about it. because I got the confirmation message that it was successful. I told them it's not successful cause I still didn't get the amount. They said they'll investigate call again after 24 hours.

 

Hanggang ngayun, nasira na phone ko di pa rin pumapasok yung load.

So after my cellphone is repaired I'll be a SMART person! :D

Actually, it's not just with Globe. The other telecom companies are guilty with this too. The most common is the so-called "billing problem". Bayad ka na sa bills mo pero papadalhan ka pa ng Billing Statement and sometimes even a "loveletter" from some Law firm, threatening to sue you if you failed to settle your bills. Talk about a ripoff! They gotta fix their system muna.

i switched to smart rin because globe has been sending unsolicited promotional messages! if dont want to receive messages like that from them you have to reply "off" but they will charge you for that reply and after replying "off" they will send you a new one! got tired of it and complained about to them, they said that i wont receive anymore messages like those. but i still did! so i went to sm and saw a sim swap booth! good riddance!!!!

Parehong madaya yun globe and smart, their unlimited text service has a minimum P1 load requirement to use, so you end up spending more to use the unmilited service. sun cellular's offering is much better, the unlimited text is just P150/month. so you really get to save over a whole month. the problem lang is the limited subscribers, but my friends and family are now on sun so it's really worth it for me. i used to spend about P1,000-P1,500 per month in load, now I just spend P300-400/month. big savings to use for gimiks! :D

Yap i agree, Sun is much affordable and walang bitin we used that in our business all my men using suncell kahit tawagan time to time di mabigat before its hard to have signal in SUNCELL but now its easy find even in the province

globe broadband user here fr marikina... nung nagpakabit ako wow ambilis within 48 hours nanjan na ang technical crew... problema sobrang bagal, minsan mas mabilis pa ang prepaid dialup... at pag tumawag ka sa technical support aabutin ka ng 15-30 minutes bago mo makausap ang operator (siguro marami din nagre reklamo like me)... pagpunta ng onsite technical crew, mas marami ka pa alam dun sa technician, parang mga basurero lang na tinuruan magkabit ng internet, hindi masagot ang mga technical questions ko... when i threatened them na kung hindi titino connection nila, papatanggal ko na lang... sagot ba naman sa kin "eh sir, may contract kayo for one year" tama ba yun? would you pay for a service na hindi mo naman nakuha ang binayaran mo? Nung kalikutin ang connection, hindi rin naayos and told me to wait for 48 hours... now that's 48 hours lost sa 2000 per month na bayad ko. ANG MASASABI KO LANG SA GLOBE, MABILIS KAYO SA SINGILAN PERO SA AFTER SALES SUPPORT UBOD KAYO NG BAGAL. VERDICT: DON'T GET GLOBE BROADBAND... YOU'RE BETTER OFF WITH PLDT DSL WHICH HAS NO BAD SERVICE HISTORY WITH MY FRIENDS!

Hello all, I applied for Globe Visibility Plan recently up to know my application is still on process. They have a good deal kasi upto Jan 15, 2007 free yung data card which will set you back aroud 8 k if you buy it. All you need to do is apply for the visibility plan pay 2000 intallation fee and 1 month advance. Visibility plan is 2000 k per month. Sana okey kasi globe is saying that I can get speed up to 1.8 mbps depende na sa location. Half of that okey na ko.

 

I think parang PLDT we roam to which I had before but I did not like it kasi sobrang bagal para ka lang na ka dial up the only thing it had as an advantage is kahit on the road ka meron kang internet. Sabi nung tech support ng globe I will be pleased because tested na nila tong technology na to and before they offered it to the public tested na ito ng mga corporate clients nila. I still have to see this kasi di pa nga connected ang service ko.

 

Just want to know if you guys have this service and kung ano mga problema.

been using it since last august. it is really great. especially, with the dopod 900 that i have.

 

the data card is also great for surfing the net. although, i wish that they had a better software along with it that could handle mms as well.

 

also i wish that the call and text charges were more in line with G and G Flex plans, so i dont have to carry too many sims.

 

then again you can't have everything...

I guess its more suited for Mobile Phones! What I have is a Data Card with my lap top. I find the speed painfully slow. Thats why This week I will go to their business center to complain. I dont know if my data card is broken though. Its only a little faster than dial up.. I complained by phone and they are saying it depends on the area where I am but according to their web site my area is covered. Also I can see my connection is at HSDPA. I called again they asked where am I using it. I told them inside my house. This technical person told me its better if I use it outside WTF! Why would I surf the net outside. I keep on pointing it out that base on you add you can achieve speend up to 1.4 mbps. Then they aswered me again that during non peak hours it can. I tried it early morning. Still slow.

 

If they cant do something about this I will terminate my contract with them even if I pay the 10000 pesos that they are saying that I have to pay them. After all I wont use this system at such slow rate. I hope my data card broken cause otherwise the 2000 pesos that I am paying them is not worth it. I was ripped off in short. Now I have to pay 10000 just to get out.
