superfunkibey Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 From my personal experience if you want a faster cardio workout (in terms of duration), you have better up the resistance level. Comparingr 30 minutes in a flat treadmill vs 15 minutes in a treadmill set at 15% slope, the 15 minutes wins it with more calories burned and a better heart rate. I find this is also less jarring on the body as you don't need to run flat out but just maintain a brisk pace, the resistance works in your favor. At the moment I use those elliptical step walkers set at 30minutes, 12 resistance increasing in intervals till it reaches 15-16 resistance. I burn 360 calories per session. Quote Link to comment
