orionpax
its better to keep ur Sun...the Gokongweis have amassed a warchest of funds (the past year) in order to upgrade their cell sites (piggybacking their landline infrastructure) as well as installing new cell sites nationwide...so expect better connection and wider signal coverage the next 2 -5 yrs...the 24x7 scheme is a nifty strategy to approximate actual demand than hiring a 3rd party firm to do market studies Globe on the other hand is beefing up its campaign to keep its "loyal" customers (which is predominantly Class A& since most of its consumer base (middle class) were swayed to switch to Sun or Smart... clitlicker
Orionpax, Globe felt that they can spend less by just focusing on their Platinum Clients. After all these clients are at a minimum billing of 5,000 per month! That means their billing can go up as high as your imagination can go! The middles class (like me) switch not only because of the offer of SUN's 24/7 but because how we were treated. As they are expressing (not neccessarily saying) If you're not Platinum, your s**t! Globe for Good- BYE! Quote Link to comment
clitlicker
In case you guys haven't notice, Globe has been posting ads like crazy.. Malamang maraming na dismaya sa kanila. Partly people are taking advantage of SUN's 24/7. But I dare say, they should look at their own backyard for the problem. The customer service dept and the marketing dept. needs to be revamped, in my opinion. As Jollibee's Mr. Tony Tan, used to say-"Why focus on the A and B economic strata that has only 10% of the population, while the C,D, and E is a whopping 90%?" That's why Mc Do can't beat Jollibee! In the case of Globe they are doing the reverse, focus on the few who can spend P5,000 and up per month (platinum) and dump the rest. I don't mind getting dump-wag lang bastos! Sila panga namamadaling i cut ko ang line. Sa tingin ko if Mr. Ablaza, president of Globe, doesn't react fast, Globe will be in for a rude surprise. It's already happening kaya nga panay ang ads nila. But their offers are too little and too late! Marketing 101- It's cheaper to keep your old clients/customers than look for a new one. Malamang nakalimutan nila yon! Globe for Good-BYE! Quote Link to comment
orionpax
i agree bro clitlicker....i guess Globe's market research team failed to apply the basic Pareto principle 80% of subscribers are prepaid...and 80% of the spend (or revenue) come from prepaid accounts..not on postpaid....so why focus on the lower end of the spectrum? Switching and opportunity costs will sink Globe even further i dropped my Globe 2 yrs ago because its to expensive Quote Link to comment

tazmanic
with all the flak which globe is getting from this thread, wala man lang reply from globe? aba para namang nakakagulat na sa 60k ++ members ng mtc, walang tiga globe dito? i'm really glad that i dropped my globe subscription. i have a sun line right now, meron lang mga birthpains nung simula pero their service is improving.. ed_rocks
grabe, sun's customer base is exponentially muliplying.. but i hope despite of that they'll continue to improve and provide better services, hindi lang pakitang gilas dba Quote Link to comment
clitlicker
Hope hindi lumaki ang ulo nila kamo! Tazmanic- may taga Globe or at least loyal to it. Back read please. That's the guy who said "I still go gor Globe" without explaining why! Hey ed rocks- add me too! By this week, I will get 2 lines from SUN! For all of you who had drop their Globe-congratulations, you are indeed wise and should be immulated. You said enough to this s**t and moved on! For those who plan to drop Globe- There's still hope for you! For those who will retain Globe- mayaman si papa? nyuk-nyuk! Saw one of the Zobel de Ayala having breakfast at Starbucks yesterday. Simple lang at walang body guard. If only their people will imitate them- maybe? But instead they act like the proverbial bird on top of the carabao, or in this case the bangaw on top of the cow dung! Globe-for Good-BYE! Quote Link to comment
^ED^GE^
siguro naman may taga globe kasi meron silang ads dito sa mtc... Quote Link to comment

clitlicker
l3v3l- this I promise you- Globe won't listen. You are hoping like making taya in the lotto ! Ang next question is- ano ka? siniswerte? Di ka naman gumagamit ng "siko" wallet! But overall congrats! Kahit mag open line ka para SUN sim lang ang kailangan mo. Then ask your friends to switch para may ka-talk o ka-text ka na 24/7. Just be patient bos. Parang throw back sila ng 5 years. But Sun assures us that they are doing everything possible to increase their services. Quote Link to comment
batang_yakult
Hi there. I am now thinking of givng up my 5 year loyalty to Smart. I had been a Smart user ( prepaid ngalang) since the beginning of time. heck my whole family's on Smart. Kasi parang hindi na magagnda ung service talaga. Saka it seems iniipit talaga ung clients nila. Ayoko rin lalo sa Globe. So that is why I am seriously considering Sun. Not wholly because of the 24/7 but rather I am just plain dissatisifed on Globe and Smart;s services. Yabang nila. Kala nila controlled na nila ang cellular network industry. Tapos ang Smart pa, walang katapusang advertisement pa ang pagpapadala sa phone mo. Buti sana kung maganda ung ino-offer e. E minsan ka-kornihan na lang e. Quote Link to comment
clitlicker
Hi batang yakult! Both Smart and Globe control more than 90% of the cell phone service provider market! Kaya nga may pinagmamalaki na sila. They swallowed up 2 other providers like Touch Mobile- now with Globe and Piltel and PLDT now with SMART. Yon lang you have to be patient with SUN. Bagito pa at parang Globe and Smart 5 years ago. Kaya nga dapat natin patibayan ang competition, Kong hindi parang na monopolize na ang market ng Globe and Smart. Globe for Good-BYE! centrino
From what I've heard here and a bit of personal frustrations na din... looks like I'm willing to give up my 2 line post paid subscription from Globe!!! Sino kaya provider who would offer me a P900 or a good PDA fone for the switch hehehe :boo: Quote Link to comment
clitlicker
centrino, you may try Smart if you're in the high end. Nope, they don't have the switch program like before. But if you use your Citibank Credit Card there are offers with value for money! Quote Link to comment
