i think mas mura ang civic ( 1.8 a/t na v) compared to that top of the line na 1.8 ng altis na a/t. then kung 2.0 variant naman, i think the new lancer is better than the 2.0 variant of the civic. sa porma, i think the civic is ok na and the lancer is for the mga binata pa. for the altis.....ewan ko ba what their target market is. but for me lang ha, if you're not that particular with the resale value, i think the 1.6 fully dresssed ng sentra is a good buy. for only 835t less 75t, may back-up sensor, side skirt, duck tail, front spoiler, leather seat, leather interior sidings ka na. plus laging malamig and aircon. actually i'm planning of buying a new car na. whew, just got so many options.

i stand corrected pala, i mean s version, not the v version of the civic. mas mura pa rin ang civic compared to the altis. for the maintenance, if the civic is in need of a tune up every 10t km, as compared to the every5t km of altis, maybe maging mas mura pa rin ang civic. just my opinion.

Have both and I prefer the Civic.

Ang bilis malaspag yung Toyota. Lalo na yung interior.

Nasisikipan pa ako sa Altis. Lol... Pahamak yung interior design na yan, uncomfortable.

Kahit Accord vs. Camry, Accord pa rin.

Baka fanboy lang ako. :upside:

pards, anong year model ng altis at civic mo?

i have a 07 civic (replaved my 97 civic vti) and am very satisfied with the performance, maintenance, and all. mileage wise 10km/liter on city driving. same mileage i got with my old 1600 cc civic vti. drove my 97 civic for 11 years and never had a breakdown and was still able to sell it at a very good price.

the civic (140 ps) is more powerful compared with the altis (106 ps) with a much heavier body. drove my civic at 165kph sa sctex and d man lang umugong makina. meron pang ibubuga kaya lang my wife told me na masyado na raw mabilis ang takbo namin. i think the aerodynamic design and the wider body of the civic gives it more stability on high speed driving.

i used to own an altis as well.

I'll choose the Altis over the Civic each and every time!!

Honda's Suck!!! :thumbsdownsmiley:

Had a 2005 Honda CRV. Bought it new and just a year after, ang daming sira at nagloloko lagi aircon and that piece of s@%t was casa maintained, on schedule always!!

FYI, why do you think that honda wont allow their cars to be used as Taxi Cabs... they say that they dont wanna tarnish their image na pang public transport yung mga kotse nila. thats what they say to the general public but in truth, hindi tatagal yung mga kotse nila if you use it for taxi services. kumakalampag agad yung suspension, nagloloko yung aircon, etc etc etc
