CRV the engine is very reliable but when the car gets old maybe 8 years old then many many small problems will start to appear.

kahit well maintained ang isang oto w/ that age me tendency talagang me kelangan ng palitan na parts since it is used for 8yrs & up..

Ok lang naman, basta sariwa dapat kunin mo..

Still have my '98 Gen 1 CRV..

Gusto mo ba 1st car mo Compact SUV?

Medyo adjust ka sa expenses mo kasi medyo mataas konsumo compared sa sedans...

Kung gusto mo ng Honda pagpilian mo SIR, Vtec3, or CRV, halos magka2price naman cla depende lang sa model..

You can check bro yung thread na "'all about 2nd hand cars/resale value" marami kang makukuhang tips dun bro.. :thumbsupsmiley:

He was being sarcastic.

Anyway, I would have preferred the Mitsu Lancer kung bangis lang ng looks ang pag uusapan.

But since this thread is about Atlis and Civic, I will have to pick the Civic any day and twice on Sundays. Hondas are durable and well-made too.

Problema sa Toyota, underpowered, conservative, stingy features, and service is baaaadddd---kasi daw, Toyota sila kaya maghintay kayo kung kelan sila magkapanahon para kausapin kayo. The only thing going for it is that it's a Toyota---kahit sa bakery, pwede maka bili ng oil filter nito.

ha,ha.. he prolly wouldn't have identified sarcasm if it him in the face. :D

on topic, i would cast my vote with the civic, too, based on older models (say >5 yrs). better styling, better ride, better durability.

can't comment on the current models as i haven't ridden in one. but in the looks dept., i still think the civic whips altis ass (by just 2 notches).

nice car the 1st gen crv is. great ride, reasonable consumption (7.5km/l), no mechanical breakdowns.... until late last year.

so if you are planning to purchase a 2000 model crv, make sure that there are no problems as of this time and be prepared for the expenses once they pop out in the very near future.

but then again, the same can be said for all cars.

Actually, the Altis uses a Primitive Torsion Bar suspension from the 1950's era.
