  1. I propose a law repealing the stupid "Lina Law."

  2. Can somebody please tell what talent does Kris Aquino have that she deserves to be an A-list celebrity? Her acting is irritating to watch, she sure s@%t cant sing or dance, and puhlease, her talk shows feel like an entire hour of Kris Aquino commercial, because all it is about is me me me me me! My collection of bags, My diet plan, my sex life.

  3. I wonder what we, as ordinary citizens, can do to punish these government officials. No, I'm not talking about filing plunder charges against these politicians. That's the job of the Ombudsman. What can we, as individuals, do to effectively put a damper on the lives of these crooks? Keying the expensive cars of these politicians comes to mind, but this is childish, not to mention illegal and constitutes vandalism. How about standing up and leaving a particular pew during a mass as soon as a corrupt politician sits beside you with his bodyguards in toe? Or looking the other way when they acknowledge your presence with a smile?

I know this is small time and not everyone is as indignant about these criminals posing as government officials. I wouldn't even be surprised if some stupid people will want to have their photos taken with these criminals.

So what can we do as individuals to show our displeasure over the activities of these criminals? How I wish we could create a new thread entitled "Ideas on how to personally show dirty politicians that we abhor them."

  4. As soon as procedures in extracting DNA are perfected, I propose a law that would require hardened criminals to submit their DNA to law enforcement for encoding into a nation-wide data base. In the US, this nationwide data base is called CODIS (Combined DNA Indexing System) Which type of criminals are required to submit their DNA will follow internationally accepted standards (if any exist). On top of this list are murderers, rapists, and other criminals with violent tendencies.

So if a rapist assaults a woman, leaving his DNA on the woman's body, SOCO can properly collect trace evidence such as pubic hair, semen, etc. and submit it to the forensic laboratory which will attempt to extract the DNA from such evidence. Once the DNA is extracted, the data will now be entered into the DNA database. If a criminal with a previous history of rape already has his DNA encoded on the database, the computer will make a match and print out his name.

So without even knowing who raped the woman, the criminal will be identified, based on the DNA he left behind. This will be prima facie evidence that the suspect was indeed the rapist.

All these are already in place in 1st World countries. Over here, convictions are still achieved only through eyewitness identification which can be flawed. With DNA matching, there is no room for doubt.

To date, I have never heard of any criminal convicted in the Philippines based solely on DNA he left behind at the scene of the crime.

There are many applications of DNA technology aside from forensics. Para magkaroon ng ganyan, some legislation and funding is really needed to make the industry grow.

  5. The idea of Pacquiao coaching a PBA team is really hilarious as far as I'm concerned. Dela Hoya, Mayweather, etc, never even thought of coaching expansion teams in the NBA. I really have no idea what he's thinking but I think when his team starts losing a lot of games, he'll be laughed at by PBA fans.

Like I said, this is nothing more but for the sake of his vanity and ego

  6. It certainly looks that way to me too. They make the rules. And the rules will always favor their self-interests.

Hindi tayo totoong demokrasya. Kasi hindi naman tayo government of the people, for the people, and by the people. Government tayo of political families, for the political families, of the political families. They do not represent us, nor work for our best interest. A government that does not represent the best interest of its people can not be called a democracy.

  7. What the hell does Pacquiao know about coaching at the PBA level? I thought that this was a joke at first but, apparently, Pacquiao will be coaching a new PBA team. laugh.gif

Sa isang banda, its good na he is trying to be a polymath and getting the most out of life. I mean how many of us will ever get to try many things like this. Sa kabilang banda, he is becoming way in over his head. Pero magconcentrate sya sa isang bagay one at a time sana. Kung gusto nya pa magboxing, dun muna sya tumutok. Pag nagretire sya, eh di aralin nya ng mabuti trabaho nya tapos saka sya maging full time na pulitiko.

Yan kasi ang hirap, nagiging part time sya sa lahat. Part time athlete, part time politician, part time preacher, ngayon coach naman.

  8.

There is no short cut to effective crime prevention. Crime prevention is the responsibility of the police last time I checked. Since it's their responsibility, then they should do their jobs. After all, why are citizens such as us paying taxes for?

Hehehehe!

  9. The expendables III

    Expendables III early review

Yahooo! Was able to watch a DVD-quality copy of "The Expendables III" online weeks before its release! So here now is my early review. But be warned about some important things here. First, do not be one of those idiots expecting this to be more than what it is. Its not competing for an oscar. The story is shallow, the acting is blah, and its just filled with guilty-pleasure ridiculousness. Anybody who critics this film from the lack of story are like one of those idiots who walk inside McDonalds expecting a health-friendly meal. Make no mistake, this is cinema junk food. Also, if you are not a fan of 80s and 90s action, then you are probably not gonna like this. Remember folks, this is a love letter to the fans. To whimpy teenagers like myself back in those days growing up watching these guys and looking up to them as heroes. Before Ironman, before wolverine, before captain america, we had Rambo, Terminator, Blade etc.

So the movie opens with a rescue scene on a speeding train. The guys are after an old comrade who was part of the original gang. After busting him out, they go on another mission right after to find out that they are up against another old comrad. Stonebanks (Played by Gibson), who co-founded the expendables but has gone rouge and has been an a ruthless arms dealer. After one of the expendables gets fatally wounded, Barney Ross (Stallone) begins to reevaluate his morals and fires the old teammates and seeks to recruit new blood. Then, its one action sequence after the other.

The first installment took itself way too seriously and felt like a good direct-to-DVD action flick with famous names in the cast. The second was entertaining. It was self-aware that many of these heroes are old, and didn't mind making fun of themselves. With its humor, action scenes, and the duel between Stallone and Van Damme, it gave pretty much everything it asked for. The third one kinda mixed up the seriousness and the Humor. And so on those scenes that were serious I found kinda lame, and the scenes that were funny was pretty entertaining.

Wesley Snipes was great in this one, although I wanted to see more of what he could do reminiscent of the time when he was in his prime. I wanted to see more of him doing those cool martial arts moves. Who cares about rousey and these young guys? They are not the reason why fans wanna watch this. Gibson plays a decent villain. He is cold, ruthless, and seemed to have been in pretty good shape coming into this movie. Although his fight scene is stallone is not as good as it was when stallone was kicking Van Dammes ass. I really miss Van Damme, hope he brings him back in the 4th sequel as his twin. I liked Harrison Ford a lot too in this one too, suddenly I felt that they made a good choice firing Willis for this guy. Schwarzzeneger will always be the king of one liners (He uses the "Into the chopaa line a lot), but we really dont get to see much of him shooting around bad guys, and Jet Li was soooooo underused. I mean come on? Jet Li firing a machine gun from a chopper? No! No! No! We wanna see him do kung fu!

But the best part of this movie was not any of those guys I mentioned. It was Antonio Banderas. Man oh man, thank goodness for casting this guy! He stole every scene he was in! He was the perfect comic relief. His character played homage to his roles as Zorro, the mariachi... and puss in boots. He is just one annoying dude who can't seem to stop talking. I love how he tries to suck up to barney, and flirt with the only female member of the team. IMO he is enough reason to watch this movie.

There are plenty of action scenes in this movie, but they are not necessarily better than the second. Well... that isn't saying they were bad, but I wished that they stuck to basics and use less of that CGI crap. The climax as with typical 90s action was a bit over the top, but was still entertaining nonetheless.

Bottomline, despite all of its flaws and ridiculousness, Its still a love letter to us fans who grew up watching these guys. If you are a fan, you will forgive the movies short comings and enjoy it. If not. well...... just buy a ticket for a marvel movie.

  10. Ok call it cheesey

  11. Everyone in that situation say that.

All the problems are with their partners but not them.

That they are not happy and they just don't understand why they are so in love now.

I think we should recall our first love in high school or college with sleepless nights.

We don't rationalize but just follow our emotions without thinking.

It is like that feeling and add one important ingredient...PASSION.

    Passion takes over our mind.

I agree whole-heartedly with this. As much as it is euphoric its also a dangerous place to be. I believe not being able to control your passion to the point that you no longer rationalize is weakness. Just because you are happy with something or someone, it does not mean you should pursue it. Happiness is not a perfect gauge for determine right from wrong.

Emo people will always wanna go "Oh but only those who know how to speak from the heart will understand..yada yada yada!". Yep sure, up until magkademandahan na ng adultery.

  12. What if he/she is taken but he/she told you that your the one he/she really loves.

His/her life is miserable with the one he/she's with, With you he/she is overjoyed,

you make him/her happy. What do you do.

Pangatlo, responsibilidad nya kaligayahan at kapayapaan nya.

  13. I think in a way MMA has taken over boxings market. Neither sport will ever go away, but as a whole i think MMA has the larger fanbase. People really follow the sport. As for boxing, most fans follow 1 or 2 of their favorite fighters. What makes MMA stand out as a sport is that it is continually evolving. The fighters, disciplines, techniques, etc.

Hmmm I dont know man, somehow Floyd is right by saying boxing is really for everybody, because lets face it, MMA is a more violent sport.

  14. Pacquiao is gonna fight Chris Algieri in Macau on Nov.

Ok to be fair, on the upside, he will be taking on another undefeated opposition.

But seriously? Why this dude? What will Pacquiao gain from this fight. He beats this guy, people will just say he beat an inexperienced non-elite. He has only been in 20 fights and his most significant win was against Provodnikov via narrow split decision. Moreover, this guy has zero following.

  15. I do appreciate and respect your comments here in the thread Sir Edmund, I really don't take it personally about the comments of other GM and I agree that someone like you can say comments objectively how you see it. I'm just saying and reacting to Rearden and your debate in my opinion only as I can say that I've been on both side of the fence ikanga .

Good luck and I really also wish them the best to those fall in love on these girls as I really do admit that it has a very low success rate. And I can say that it doesn't hurt much less than any other normal relationships. Its still the same heartache and sadness that you will feel as any other broken relationships.

Well I appreciate the respect. Well I already gave my reasons why already. Then again, this is me, my preference according to what I believe in. This is not something I am forcing sa iba, I am trying to discuss in this thread, at hindi ko naman pwede pasiyahin lahat sa sinasabi ko.

Although, lets make it clear that I am not prejudiced on these kind of women as far as being a person is concerned. I just dont see myself starting a serious relationship with one especially if they are still in the trade. But that is just me. Other than that, I do support the move to legalize prostitution and pornography. I have a couple of friends who used to be mobsters and did hard time. They are out of the life now of course.

What I can't stand is the hypocrisy of some people here desperately seeking validation.

Bravo bravo. Tularan natin, cuz hes the man. Tantanaaaaaaaan.

Nakakaawa ka parekoy, you are holding an online grudge at nagbanta ka pa. Pathetic man.
