  1. Pero iyong gagong si Leonardo Perez ng Comelec, niluto pa rin ang resulta ng eleksiyon. :thumbsdownsmiley:

One of the many Makoy lapdogs you really want to hate at that time. Isa pang aw-aw si then Sec. of (Dis)Informatioin- Kit

    Tatad. :grr:

  2. As a matter of leaving in good graces and without any hard feelings, hindi maganda ung nagsosolian pa ng mga gamit. Kung ano ang binigay ko before sa kanya na yon, kung may ibabalik siya sakin i would rather that i dont accept them back--- unless she insists. My point is, dapat manggaling sa babae ang initiative na magsoli--- kung gugustuhin nya.

  3. I take my hat off to the family who owns the Max's chain of restaurants for their ability to successfully revive the business. :thumbsupsmiley: For a while in the late 70s and throughout the 80s, e mukhang palubog na 'to e. Now, they're back again and it looks like Max's will be here to stay.

One place my family and I enjoyed going to in the 70s was Ferino's Bibingka in Cubao. IMHO, their bibingka was the best! They used to have a branch sa Shell in Magallanes. I used to stop by that branch on my way home. :)

Max in Scout Tuazon was our regular hang-out in our high school years. Re Ferrino's Bibingka, there used to be one small outlet along West Ave. which is now a bakeshop. I'm not sure though if their outlet in Greenhills is still operating.

  4. Ray Conniff was 60s. The same goes with Percy Faith. The most memorable Ray Conniff songs for me were the Christmas songs in the album Ray Conniff--We Wish You a Merry Christmas released in 1962. I like their rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas and The Little Drummer Boy. Chidhood crush ko rin noon yung lady santa sa cover ng LP.

a must-have classic collection...we just never tire of listening their "walang-kamatayang" Holiday songs every Christmas Season, together with Michael Jackson's "Give Love on Christmas Day". :mtc:

condom (may balahibo pa ng kambing o kabayo, take your pick) :P

  6. Who remembers this song and group from the mid-70s? :D

    Love Me For A Reason

Note the clothing and the dance moves! :boo: :D Mayroon bang nakatago sa mga baul niyo na tulad ng damit nila?

Almost the same suit I wore in one of our school plays. Mas matigas nga lang dahil sa "almirol" (starch) that my lola sparingly used to keep the suit firmer. :P

  7. Yes, indeed! I remember that that was how my aunt used to make her chocolate, may pang-halo siya na wooden sticks! Ang sarap! :thumbsupsmiley:

mas malapot, mas yummy! then we would dunk with gusto the "walang-kamatayang suman" in the cup of hot cocoa we were served...nowadays the kids pour marshmallows :D

  8. Pareng Mandrake,

If I remember right, wasn't their execution broadcast live on radio?

It was splashed everywhere both in print and broadcast. The Subic rape case pales in comparison

to the celebrated Maggie dela Riva case considering the magnitude of the violence inflicted on a

famous celebrity at that time. It was Judge Lourdes San Diego who handed the death sentence.

  9. baka si Lagalag........eddie fernandez

Siya nga, senor v....daming mga siga nung dekada 70s....the gang of Jaime Jose (ex-La Sallite), Basilio Pineda and Edgardo Aquino were among in the list of hi-profile following their sensational death sentence in 72 for the gang rape of movie actress Maggie dela Riva...just can't remember the lady judge who handled that case.
