:thumbsdownsmiley:

  2. I remember the days when I had regular "dinner dates" with college gfs sa Goodah. :boo:  That was all I could afford then because all my date money came from savings from my daily school allowances. I have to give credit to my ex-gfs for being quite understanding about the whole thing. :thumbsupsmiley:

Suki ako sa West Avenue and Sucat branches ng Goodah. Pero pag medyo upscale or sosyal ang dinner, sa Goodah branch sa Greenhills and punta namin.

Paborito ko rito Adsi (adobo n sinangag)...with matching black gulaman. :thumbsupsmiley:

  3. ======================================================

Canent played with Yco and Philip went to Crispa, then to Shell, after which to Ginebra.

Nag abot din yata si Canent n Webb sa YCO...together, they were the spitfires of the Painters. :thumbsupsmiley:

    :headsetsmiley:

If im not mistaken, magkasama sina Rene CanenT n Philip Cezar dati sa JRC in the glory years of the NCAA. :headsetsmiley:

  5. ==================================================

The twister sa ilalim ng goal. A pride of UST. Magulong maglaro

You're riight about Morales- parang kiti-kiti ang style but effective under the basket esp. when he has Paner (isa pang kilabot sa ilalim) in tandem. But when Estoy Estrada grabs the leather, expect the "buwaya" to do the long-tom. :upside:

Sa NC, I can cite Rolly "LastikMan" Marcelo who was also deadly under the goal. Kahit sino pa mga nakapayong sa ilalim, it's amazing how he bends his body to ward off his guards underneath and get the ball in the basket.

  6. ==============================================================

    Tranformers

    Casts:

    Shia LaBeouf

    Megan Fox

    Synopsis:

    - but...

Some of the robots fighting scenes are too fast for our human eyes!

    Rating:

    8/10

Agree....let's hope the sequel would improve on this by doing more slomos on the battle scenes. Otherwise, everything looks perfect.

  8. Correct on that one. The Long Tom is the nickname for the US Army's 155mm M1 field gun that was used during WWII (including in the Philippine campaign). The gun could launch a 95 lbs. projectile over 15 miles with deadly accuracy and thus the nickname and the use of the nickname for deadly outside shooters in the '70's PBA.

Used to hear D. Ildefonso and J. Cantada refer to some basketball stars as "CLUTCH players". Can't seem to figure out how and why.

  10. Just done watching DIE-HARD, LIVE-HARD...another must-see move for action fans of Bruce Willis.

Bakbakan from beginning to end...the stunts are really fascinating. As usual, the last 10-15 mins. of the ending was quite a cliff-hanger until you hear Maclaine utter the magic words: "Yippiyayokayeh!" :thumbsupsmiley:

  11. beer + gin = beergin with calamansi

...in short, "gin-bulag". kung kapos ang atik, bilog na lang i/o 4kantos.

either way, this "poor-man's drink" was also called "stainless" or "marka demonyo".

Then there was also "White Castle-5 years" (the lapad and the long-neck).

If im not mistaken Evangeline Pascual was one of the WC girls of the 70s. :goatee:

  13. Hindi ako nagkindergarten. Inilipat ako noon sa grade 1. College na ko ng 1979.

Local shoes naman na I bought in the 70s:

    Glenmore

This is the famous shop in Recto, where I bought my first pair of leather boots.

Buhay p kaya ang shop nato?

  14. cool dude, how about chocnut , it only costs 5 centavos.

They even have a promo..collect all the letters that spell CHOCNUTand you will win a grand prize of 25 centavos.

I never forget to bring bricks of ChocNut (and Curly Tops) back abroad...although they are now bite-sized, the taste remains unique and yummy. Nakaka addict... :upside:

I'm not sure though if SERG Chocolates are still around.

  15. I feel nostalgic for these 1970s TV shows:

    Three's Company

    Charlie's Angels

    Happy Days

    Welcome Back Kotter

    WKRP in Cincinnati

    M*A*S*H

    CHiPS

    Mork and Mindy

    The Love Boat

    Taxi

    Fantasy Island

    Little House on the Prairie

    The Partridge Family

    Kojak

    Starsky and Hutch

    The 6 Million Dollar Man

    Bionioc Woman

and many others I can't remember. It's been a long time.

Paborito ko yang PANCHO PANTERA choco drink. If im not mistaken, Pancho Magalona used to be product ad endorser of that drink. :thumbsupsmiley:

  16. Actually, the eight track cartridges are still used in some radio stations.

"di-kasa" kung tawagin ng mga pedicab drivers sa Cavite nung 70s. Dumadagundong sa lakas ang speakers playing rock tunes. :upside:
