    Parang kulang na lang, ipag-sagala nyo pa si coach Jong para mapunta na sa B-Meg. Anyway kung saan makakabuti ang team natin, why not. Matagal tagal na rin tayong hindi nagcha-champion.

    RANIDEL de OCAMPO has been practicing with us since yesterday. JIMMY ALAPAG and KELLY WILLIAMS will join us on SEPTEMBER 4.

     

    We are scheduling a tune-up on SEP. 2 to check how RANIDEL de OCAMPO is jelling with the team. I give them rest day on SEP 3.

     

    QATAR, JORDAN and another MIDDLE EASTERN NATIONAL TEAM are coming over next week for friendly games versus GILAS PILIPINAS.

     

    So as not to burn them out in training, GILAS PLAYERS can only watch the practices of their PBA teams until after the FIBA ASIA on SEP 25.

    PHILIPPINE AZKALS will have a new (alternate) GOAL KEEPER in the person of ROLAND MULLER. He will join team practice later..

     

    ROLAND MULLER is from MSV Duisburg, a 2 bundesliga team (tier 2) in Germany.

     

    note: he will not replace NEIL ETHERIDGE. He'll be an alternate.

    'Di na nga ako nage-expect na makukuha pa nila si Ballesteros kagabi, all the Smart-Gilas players are up for grabs mula # 1 hanggang 8 pwere lang kay Ababou na huling nakuha from among the SG players. Ok na din si Cervantes sa tingin ko at 'wag na sanang trade para kay Pennisi na matanda na din naman at mas mahilig tumira sa labas....

     

     

     

    Sana nga prized find s'ya. Hopefully, 'di s'ya kinuha ng Ginebra dahil na din sa hiling ng mga former UE players (Tubid and Lagabala) to save him from embarassment, I remember purefoods drafting this player named Olan Omipin (from UE din) but as it turns out 'di naman pinapirma ng contract, tingin ko pina-draft lang nila james yap at Artadi para naman 'di masabing 'di na-draft at 'di mapahiya.     pero sana, tutal naman hindi limited up to 2nd round lang ang draft, inuna nila kinuha ung mas magagamit nila. ken acibar mas mapapakinabangan kesa kay martinez.. besides, sigurado naman yung mga kinuha ng smc team na hindi nila pinapirma, pwede pa bumagsak sa SMB team sa ABL.

     

    4 lang ang nakuha ng alaska... marnel baracael sa 1st round, 13th pick eric salamat, 14th pick julius pasculado, and 15th pick ariel mepana. they opt to trade ung 17th pick nila sa meralco for the latter's 2014 2nd round pick. julius pasculado can be a steal in the draft kaya sure na papipirmahin yan. eric salamat, sigurado din makakapirma yan. kung hindi man sa aces eh pwede nila trade to other teams. kay ariel mepana ako hindi sure kung makapirma dahil loaded na sa position ang aces dun.

     

    about ababou.. may mga gilas players na nagreact sa pagkakapili sa kanya sa 10th pick via twitter.

    My guess is... because he's from UE.

     

    Seriously. Labagala and Tubid looked really comfy and all smiles when giving the rookie his jacket.

     

    He might be a prized find, who knows?

     

    Ken Acibar is from UE too.. i just wonder why they chose Martinez over Acibar.

    If kailangang magbitaw ng 2 guards ang BGK, i'd rather lose Jimbo Aquino and Rob Labagala.

     

    For the big man, pwedeng si Eric Rodriguez na lang? He's seldom used anyway.

     

     

     

    binitiwan na nila si eric rodriguez.. nasa unrestricted free agent nanaman siya after the short stint with bgk..

    well mejo masakit kasi puro favorites ko mga guards ng BGK....

     

    pero i hope it's Lagabala + ? and De Ocampo ^_^ ^_^

     

    kung aalisin si labagala, 2 aging point guards nalang matitira sa team.. kailangan parin ng team si labagala lalo na nawala si miller. besides, last year all star rookie vs. sophomore mvp yan. mas mabuti nang ibigay sa petron si jimbo aquino tutal di naman nagagamit.

    here's a trade rumor/blind item for the bgk fans:

     

     

    BGK CURRENTLY IS ON THE 9TH PICK IN THE DRAFT... BUT DON'T BE SURPRISE IF THEY GOT TO PICK EARLIER.

     

    BGK SET TO LOSE 2 GUARDS AND 1 BIG MAN IF THIS HAPPEN.

     

    now, it's very vocal that powerade will pick at #1 (choosing between casio and lee), ros will pick at #2 (yeng said he will pick casio or lee, whoever is available at 2nd), and barako/air21 will utilize their pick at #3 (said to be choosing between lassiter and baracael)... bmeg got shopinas' pick at #5 due to last year agreement, and they plan to get barroca.

     

    powerade's 4th pick and alaska's 6th pick are the remaining two choices for the BGK blind item.

    after seeing the Big J during game 7 of the finals, i was asking who invited him or whose team is he supporting? it's either SMC or MVP.. so if it was SMC who invited him or he's supporting, then maybe there is a possibility he could open talks again with his former bosses at SMC.

     

    well, it's not that he was really invited to watch the game.. he phoned someone from the PBA and said he wanted to watch the game.. the PBA official then reserved a seat for the BIG J.

    mahirap din yung mga loaned players lang... just like what happened last time sa mga request ni coach toroman na players (norwood, yap, etc.) hindi siya napagbigyan sa mga yun dahil kailangan daw sila ng team nila. even talk and text hindi mapahiram ang ibang players nila dahil may importante makuha ang grandslam. then nung ipapahiram na nila, for approval pa sa pba board kung pwede nga magpahiram.

     

     

    and one good thing about the current line up ng gilas, halos pure filipino mga naglalaro, ilan lang ang fil ams. next time magrerecruit ang gilas, sigurado mas marami na fil am niyan.
